Slow but steady

Second one is very slow to get recognized by windows. Once it does, its fine. Copy speeds are very slow as well. I knew it was going to be a slow drive, but it's for backup storage so not a big deal on speed after I finally get everything over. No noise complaints.

Still usable.

Longevity is the main reason for a product like this. Only time will tell. Seagates smaller external drives seem the sturdiest built, but this big guy seems a little bit cheap. Interesting that it came with ac adapters for every region .

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i was running low on my tree m.2 4TB SSD's but man this HDD saved me on storage but be aware your PC will take away 2TB of space from the 20TB drive for backups and the drive will say 18.1TB not and 20TB but over all seagate never fails me.

Are all large hard drives this loud?

Maybe 2-3 times an hour. Initial reads can take some time . I thiught my last hard drive was wearing iut due to this behavior but this new one does it too.

Decent value, occasionally disconnects

Wouldn't buy again, but still useful for my purposes.
