For me an "excellent" product is a product that lasts. Longevity is the main reason for a product like this. Only time will tell. Seagates smaller external drives seem the sturdiest built, but this big guy seems a little bit cheap. Interesting that it came with ac adapters for every region .

It's fine. It works. It's fast enough for what it is. And the price was good at the time.

If you need an external hard drive, this is the one for all those pictures you have all over your computer. Plenty of room for more projects too.

The drive is noisy A lot of drives are, but this is more about enclosure dampening of sound It has rubber feet for standing up, but it’s 2x louder standing (if not more) If you put it on a desk that is a typical ikea cheaper wood design, it will thrum, clunk and echo that sound under the desk, amplifying it Laying it flat lessens the noise, and putting some foam pads under it helps Some people buy these on sale to shuck for cheaper storage They are good for that and probably better than using the included enclosure sound wise Overall good drive, minus 2 stars for very bad (loud) enclosure design. Especially since these are more consumer marketed

This is my 1st 20tb HD and it performed as expected so far.

good product so storing a lot of memory if you the kind of person need more memory for gaming or other applications.

I am shooting a documentary and need two hard drives, one for the videographer and one for me to add archival footage. I appreciated how easy it was to format and use, especially for someone with intermediate video skills. Also for the amount of storage the price could not be beat.

Decent for archival purposes, fast enough, but gets disconnected from time to time from my Mac computers compared to my equivalent WD drives (I know they're the same company). Wouldn't buy again, but still useful for my purposes.

With the ever growing file size of digital photos, this is fantastic for backing up all of these large files. I've been using Seagate hard drives for many years.

Constantly sounds like its shuffling through a deck of cards. Maybe 2-3 times an hour. Initial reads can take some time . I thiught my last hard drive was wearing iut due to this behavior but this new one does it too.

This is an excellent external drive. The price is right for the amount of storage and it worked great right out of the box. Speed is good too.
