Would purchase this Seagate expansion drive again. It function rather quickly on the download of data, plus the Data Recovery function.

Good drive

I have 17 terabytes of movies and TV shows and it all fits here. Now I can put bigger drives in my NAS and have everything safe on the expansion drive.

Second one is very slow to get recognized by windows. Once it does, its fine. Copy speeds are very slow as well. I knew it was going to be a slow drive, but it's for backup storage so not a big deal on speed after I finally get everything over. No noise complaints.

It powered up without any issues, no signs of any failures, and surprisingly was pretty quiet compared to my other hard drives...

Noise levels in line with similar drives. Using for NAS backups and don’t plan to shuck. Instantly recognized on Mac, PC and Synology.
