This is not my first 8TB drive. I have several others and they work great. I know what I buy from Best Buy and that is the quality and best price. If you find it any other place the price match like Amazon. Therefore, that is why I buy these items from the store. It finished up with my 100,000+ Arcade system

Love using this large external hard drive to double save all of my files and photos! As a wedding photographer, it’s so important to have double copies of everything and this Seagate drive is so easy to use and great for all additional files.

No reason not to have a backup and 8tb is more than enough for most people. Quality is standard, it is not meant to be dropped. HDD inside is standard SATA hdd and can be removed and put in a PC. This is a cheaper option than buying the equivilant standard HDD. This will void the warranty on it though.

We have been using this brand for a couple of years and have been happy, Never had with this much space but expect the same good results.

First of all it is well made and durable. Second, it is the best priced size to buy, less money per TB. I store a lot of video so I need the space and have several more that I have purchased before and I like them a lot. If you need the space and the usb3 isn't too slow. This is your model.

Seagate Drives are easy to hook up and easy to use. They also come with Seagate Dashboard which makes it easy to monitor the drives.

Hopefully I will never need another Hard-Drive ( Yeah right?!), Since I have such a vast collection. But 8TB should do the trick!

Awesome backup drive at a great price - With 8TB of storage it can store a lot of file. Perfect for our home business and also for storing all of our family pictures. Quick and fast. I highly recommend this Seagate External Hard Drive for all your backup and file storage needs.

Very easy to use and works great. I purchased this as a backup solution mostly for videos. Very quiet and was easy to set up. I run TrueNas as my storage solution and simply plug this bad boy up, and create your pools and your off to the races.

I have a 4 gig that is full. This one is great. It is very fast and so big I am going to rip all of my old DVD's. I am using this with an Amahi server (free) and an older PC to share files at my house. We have six PCs and all of them back up to this drive.

Just need extra storage? Or a simple way to backup? This drive is affordable and effective. USB 2.0 or 3.0 only (no wifi) but with transfer speeds up to 100mbps it does the job. Very happy with my purchase.

This external hard drive gives me plenty of extra space. It is small and compact and does not take up a lot of counter space. Love It!

Great price for the storage. It works great for me and seems very sturdy. I have another Seagate external hard drive which I like so that lead me to get this one. I have had a couple of hiccups with the use of this however. I formatted it to work for both PC and Mac (the same as I did with my other Seagate external hard drive) but it does not show up when I plug it into my Mac. I would try reformatting it but I already have too many files stored on the harddrive to offload to do that. So that has been inconvenient. Also there was a problem with it also not reading on my PC, and it turned out it needed to be unplugged from the power for a time and then connected to power for it to work again. No harm was done, but I had to dig around on the internet to figure out that was the issue because I had assumed it just got corrupted or something, so that is something to be aware of.

Excellent speed and Large ammount of storage space. I am moving all my had copies of movies over to digital versions for my Plex server. This is the ninth one of these I purchased.

I'm a freelance graphic designer and I bought this drive to store/backup my work. The drive had over all good reviews. One review I saw complained about the drive sound. You can barely here any noise its very faint and it's not constant only when writing to it and at start up. I really like the drive its a sleek clean modern design with lots of space.

Very easy installPlug and play and quiet and so far seems to stays cool and not overheat . one odd thing after Installed the drive my numbers did not work on the keyboard ... easy fix just uninstalled the keyboard driver and rebooted pc and all works great . But drive is running great and recommend this to anyone Pros : quiet drive , works perfect with a pc Cons: usb cord could be longer . And small odd issue after installed but could have just been my pc. Other : for any backup software had to go To seagate site and not on drive already but minor in convince Overall if looking to expand space on your PC this is a good drive . I use it as my media drive all my movies and music live there to keep my c drive free .

Got this one to replace a bunch of 1-3TB externals I had over the years. I managed to fit everything and still have a couple TB available. A ton of space. Its just bulky and you need a power cord to turn it on, wouldnt work with just a USB. but other than that pretty happy with it

i play games on ps4. this has great speed and storage. would give it 5 stars but you have to eject everytime you want to turn off console or risk corrupting files and losing all your saved data.
