Sometimes with tech things just don’t work... this has been a pleasant experience. I was fill with such joy to plug this into my PS4. The PlayStation expanded the space I could use and just works. Haven’t had any issues. It does need power from the outlet. Which wasn’t a big deal for me, I’m not planning to ever move it.

Love the Seagate drives. We buy a lot of them and they are super good. They rarely fail and it's usually to physical damage we caused.

I'm using this as a backup to my two 4tb WD external drives that I use for backups. Transfer of photos and documents, which is all I'm backing up, has been easy and relatively fast. No complaints. I've had several types of external drives, including Western Digital and Toshiba. The latter is the only one that I had problems with. I went with this drive because of the lower sale price at the time.

Awesome backup drive at a great price - With 8TB of storage it can store a lot of file. Perfect for our home business and also for storing all of our family pictures. Quick and fast. I highly recommend this Seagate External Hard Drive for all your backup and file storage needs.

I do all the media work for my church and need a place to store my large video files. I already have one of these but it is nearly full (about 2 years worth of raw and completed video files). Great price and fits my needs well

Very easy installPlug and play and quiet and so far seems to stays cool and not overheat . one odd thing after Installed the drive my numbers did not work on the keyboard ... easy fix just uninstalled the keyboard driver and rebooted pc and all works great . But drive is running great and recommend this to anyone Pros : quiet drive , works perfect with a pc Cons: usb cord could be longer . And small odd issue after installed but could have just been my pc. Other : for any backup software had to go To seagate site and not on drive already but minor in convince Overall if looking to expand space on your PC this is a good drive . I use it as my media drive all my movies and music live there to keep my c drive free .

Excellent speed and Large ammount of storage space. I am moving all my had copies of movies over to digital versions for my Plex server. This is the ninth one of these I purchased.

I am currently using this on a PS4 Pro and it has made an amazing experience of not having to delete and re-download a game again due to not having enough hard drive space. If you don't have the money to buy a (super expensive) SSD internal hard drive, this is the best bang for your buck. 8TB is enough for alot of games. Only downfall is that you need to have a plug dedicated to power this one.

I've had really good luck with Seagate drives and anticipate the same with this. It's a LOT of storage for videos, photos, music, data - you name it. When you consider the per-gigabyte price it's a great value as well. Easy to set up with included AC power adapter and USB cable.

It's worth every penny. I have it because I do flight simulator on Xplane and I saved all my Ortho Photos on this. It's very nice and responsive. With 8TB for below $200 you can't go wrong.

This is my 4th Seagate. All of them has been very reliable. I just keep buying because need more space for data. Compared to my other external hard disks for other brands seagate ones has been more quite in use. This was no exception. Overall good buy.

Very easy to use and works great. I purchased this as a backup solution mostly for videos. Very quiet and was easy to set up. I run TrueNas as my storage solution and simply plug this bad boy up, and create your pools and your off to the races.

I put this into my new Xbox One S, and it sync'd very quickly. Was able to move every digital game that I own onto it and I've still got room to spare! BTW I've got 374 games digitally, so yeah, tons of room here :D

Have two of these bad boys connected to my PS4 Pro. That paired with my internal 2TB SSD gives me a whopping 18TB of space. Worth the price if you are a purchaser of digital games like myself. Plus, Seagate has never let me down.

I have a 4 gig that is full. This one is great. It is very fast and so big I am going to rip all of my old DVD's. I am using this with an Amahi server (free) and an older PC to share files at my house. We have six PCs and all of them back up to this drive.

This drive fast and runs really smooth. Installation is very simple, connect and is ready. I got it at a really good price and I'm more than happy with it. This is a must if you have a big digital library.

Plenty of storage capacity for me to section off for well documented storage; it also has very good transfer speed. There were no setup issues so ease of use was also excellent. Yes, this is definitely a keeper!!!!

My review is a combination of my Seagate 4TB drive, which I bought a few years ago, and this current Seagate 8TB drive, which I have now owned for a few months. Both models look exactly the same, and have performed perfectly. No issues whatsoever, and the speed of transfers is fine. I've been very happy with these external drives, and I'd say this is a solid purchase!
