Fast and decent price PlayStation 5 storage upgrade

Installed easy. I watxhed a YouTube video. Transferred 250gigs of data from the main HD to this in under 3 minutes. It was impressive.

Super simple to add in 2TB of storage. Basically plug and play. After a quick formatting for compatibility, you are good to go.

Bought it in August of 2022, After a few months of use I started to notice that my ps5 would repair the hard drive every time I would turn it on, by December the hard drive would crash everyday, until eventually it wasn’t recognized, I’ve read about not putting the ps5 into rest mode, I will try that going forward as soon as I replace mine under warranty, good luck gamers.

Awesome ssd. It also affords u nearly all of the 2TB of storage space. Loads ps5 games very fast too. Unlike other extended storage devices that only allow u to use 70% of the advertised storage amount. Well worth the money it also comes with built-in heat sink very easy to install into ps5. This was an absolute Great Purchase. More memory for my PS5 and it loads up Superfast. I definitely recommend adding this to your PS5. A lil pricey but well worth it. 2 TB of added internal memory is just awesome. I purchased this at the Mira Mesa Best Buy and installed it myself. It was super easy and worked right away. Highly recommend for any gamers!

I'm so glad that I ended up going with the FireCuda SSD for my digital PS5. Obviously, I ran out of space pretty quickly on my console with games that are 65-120GB each. This is one of the highest rated SSDs out there and highly recommended for the Playstation, and I'm not disappointed one bit. The read/write speeds are incredibly fast making it super quick and easy to move games from the original internal storage to the SSD (I think Warzone only took 2-3 min). I can also confirm that there are no issues and no lag when trying to play games directly from the SSD which was a huge selling point for me. I didn't want to use a regular external drive because you have to move games back and forth from the console to play them, but with this you can just play directly from the additional storage. Installation was simple (especially because of the integrated heatsink) and honestly anyone with a small screwdriver could do it themselves. Just be gentle when inserting the drive and attaching it with the screw (don't over tighten!), and it should only take you 5min from start to finish.

Works great in my PC Was easy to install So far havent had any heat issues with the heatsink features Havent had any corruption issues either and ive got plenty of space so its perfect!

I went with the 2 TB variant with heatsink for my PS5 and its been a game changer (literally). Having the additional storage means I no longer have to miss out on opportunities to play certain games with friends. It really unlocks a level of comfort that's simply not possible with the stock storage on the PS5 being so limited. 2 TB is about the minimum I'd recommend with the growing size of games nowadays. That'll allow you to install the latest releases as well as keep many games on you may have otherwise deleted to easily revisit later. Transferring titles between the internal SSD and the 2 TB variant is super fast (70 GB game in about 45 secs). The 2 TB variant and above have a write speed so that also contributed to my purchase. Its expensive but its a long term investment into this console cycle - well worth it.

Pretty good performance and easy to install. It comes with a pre-installed heatsink so you don't need to install one. Just remove the PS5 plastic cover, the metal cover leading to the M.2 port, add the holding screw in the right place, reboot the PS5 and it will format and make it available as a secondary storage.

Love this! I've been able to install WAY more games onto my PS5 and they run super fast. It was also very easy and quick to install. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone looking to maximize and speed up storage on their Playstation 5.
