The SSD itself is a 5-star drive and one of the best if you manage to find it on sale. My main issue with this drive is the software, which really didn't work for me for some reason. The Discwizard software used to clone the existing SSD hung every time I tried to use it. The program would just freeze with no indication that it was running and there were no error messages to indicate a failure. I ended up cloning with the free third-party software called Macrium Reflect. I was installing on a Windows 10 desktop PC. Additionally, the SSD Drive tools from Seagate are nowhere as comprehensive as the tools provided with Samsung and WD drives. No doubt this is one of the fastest, well-designed and reliable SSDs on the market. Again, my only complaint is that I wish the accompanying software was better. I was looking to buy the WD SN850X 2TB, but it was sold out and not available to ship, so I went with this Seagate Firecuda 530 w/heatsink based on previous reviews and because it was on sale. Switching from a WD 850 1TB drive that I replaced, I sense programs like Adobe Photoshop do seem to load faster.

Works like a charm. Was torn between this and like 2 others but went with this because of the heatsink. At first the ps5 overheated twjce. But then realized that was cause of it being in a tighter area with other heat radiating devices like receiver and philips hue sync box. Moved it a bit more open and its running quiet and cool. All the games run just as, if not faster, then they do on the internal drive it comes with. Much recommended if you want peace of mind from overheating and durability and if you have the extra bucks to shell out for its higher cost.

Best SSD for the Ps5. Super fast, I purchased the 2tb to ensure i would be all set. Worth the price if you can get it on sale like i did.

Love this thing. Extremely fast, works well. I put it in my PS5 for extra storage. Just installed it and it worked like a charm. Easy to set up. Like I said the games run super smooth because this one is top of the line!

Easy to install in under 5 minutes in my ps5. Hardest part getting cover off the system. Runs faster than original SSD in the system it seems. Glad I payed extra for 2 tb as games fill up fast.

This works and is worth it. If you value quality and speed, this is your horse! Storage good, but it is faster the the original harddrive. So simple operations are involving the drive is a little quicker, like Tekken 7 is a badly made game with lots of load times. The one thing they need other then another iteration of a game is faster load speeds, this thing does that by a little and that is something worth buying. Now if they allowed ram extension..... Thats the holy grail!!!

Don’t hesitate on purchasing this SSD for your PS5 or PC build. I have it in both and I am not disappointed! Yes it may be pricier than pretty much everything else out there but if you care about performance then you will pay the difference! The heatsink model works perfect for PS5 & the non heatsink model is perfect on a PC for gaming. I have not ran into any throttling on my PC with heavy gaming.

Great storage option for PS5. It is very easy to install and has been working great since day 1 when I bought it.

Love this Seagate SSD Drive for the PlayStation 5. This a different brand compared to what I had before which was a WD 1TB. What I have is a 2TB Drive and it stores the games that I want to play on the PS5. If you have digital PS4 games I highly recommend an external hard drive. But if you want to play PS5 at solid speeds this is for you.

Read speed is fast on ps5 and heat sink is a huge plus! Absolutely worth the price and hard drive space on ps5 for all newest games.

This is drive is fast, really fast. I bought it for a PS5 and despite what the optimistic advertised speeds are, I got very close in real world speeds. I clocked over 6000 mbps when formatting the drive. If the price is worth it to you, because I know this is a very premium type of storage, it’s a must buy if you want the extra storage space.

Definity a must for any PS5 owner. Just follow the video that Sony created for installing internal SSD such as this and it is easy to install. It is easy to setup after installing the SSD. Now all my of games are stored on it, and I have not had to worry about space for over a year now.

Have a maxed out PS5 (Disc version), but I wanted more memory because I have a lot of games and the PS5 is backwards compatible with ALL PS4 games. Needed a lot of space and speed and this worked AWESOMELY. Easy to install, improved memory space and even improved the run speed. Definitely worth the money.
