Note: This review is for PS5 use. To get the best of both worlds I bought this and a 1tb SSD. Pros: -- Stores ps4 games. -- Can play ps4 games directly off of this, saving PS5 SSD space. -- CAN store, I repeat, only STORE/HOLD PS5 games. -- Cheap option. 4tb of PS5 internal SSD is about $350 - $500. Good lord! -- Plenty of space. Can't imagine youll need more than 4tb. -- 10x faster transfering games from this to the PS5 SSD and back than to re-download a game over the internet. Ex. Cyberpunk 2077s 80 Gigabytes transfers in 20 - 30mins compared to 5 - 8 hours over internet. -- Easy to plug in, right in the back of ps5 into the usb slot. USB cable is included. -- I'm encouraged to try more games now instead of dreading the long downloads CONS: -- Cant play PS5 games directly from this device, they must be transferred back to the PS5s SSD. -- Uses a USB slot in back of ps5. You may need it for something else, I cant imagine what though. -- Transfering games to and from this device does not happen in the background while you play games or use apps. Youll have to wait it out. Its super fast though. -- Cant download PS5 games directly to this. You must download them to the PS5 internal SSD or PS5 extended internal SSD first then tranfer them to this.

Easy to set up and use. Holds a lot of games and being able to play ps4 games directly from it helps. Takes a while to transfer ps5 games over due to how large they are, but works. Also small enough to hide it out of sight so you don't even know it's there.

I bought this last year and it’s still holding up great, with plenty of storage space still on it. I would recommend this to anyone who needs more storage space for their console. The only cons I found were that you can’t play ps5 games on the external hard drive, so you would have to move it back to the ps5. And moving games back and forth can take a while depending on how large the games are. Besides that, I think this is a great hard drive.

I went with this one because it had the PS logo on it and was advertised as for PS5. But once I received it I realized that it was also for the PS4 so it wasn’t as new as I had thought. And the first one didn’t work but I was able to exchange it for a new one and it worked.

This hard drive was very easy to use. I just plugged it in when I started I up my PlayStation5 and was able to use it to store and download my ps4 games and apps and I wa able to transfer some game data over for games that I’m not currently playing so that I could free up my actual PlayStation’s hard drive.

originally bought one for my ps4 and it worked great so when i got a ps5 bought another. Love not worrying about storage and being able to transport my games when needed

I bought the Seagate - 4TB External USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive for my PS5 to store my PS4 games. All I can say it works perfectly like it should and I have zero complains its also affordable and its 4TB so I have plenty of storage for many games.

Originally bought it for my ps4 but works pretty cool with the ps5. It’s just kinda touch sensitive. If u touch it by accident you’ll get an error message on the screen. But it still hold my games. Wasn’t trying to spend to much for storage…

Needed to buy an external storage for my son's PS5. Went with the Seagate because of previous experience and that it is designed for the PS5. A little bit of a technical issue setting it to sync at first. But after rebooting the PS5 it worked well. Also a bit surprised how long it takes to download a game. That could be the size of the game, my interent provider, both or it is what it is. Overall, satisfied with having the extra storage and not for a crazy amount of money.

Very easy to set up. Doesn’t take up space at all. I Can download so many games now best purchase ever!

Caught this hard-drive on sale. Very good for the price and holds a lot game save data. Happy with this purchase and a pleasant transaction.

The extended storage device worked perfectly just as described.

It is always good to have storage for games considering games take up so much space with external storage there is no more deleting games to make room for others

I knew I needed a external hard drive for my PS5 and I saw this Seagate had good reviews. I was extremely pleased when I saw the size. It is small and portable. I didn't look at the size before I bought it, and just assumed it was going to be nearly as big as the PS5. I was pleasantly surprised by the small size.
