Had to buy this product again for my son cause I forgot to put protection on the first one and it stopped working. The guy that took my name down in front was really nice and he told me to tell my son don’t leave it plugged in 24/7 cause of how the Xbox runs stuff in the background. So far so good I hope it stays that way cause I’m not buying him another one.

What a relief to be able to have enough space for my games. So fast.

This is basically the same drive as the Backup Plus USB Desktop, except it is clad in white plastic (rather than black), and there's no backup software, drivers or anything in it. In fact, this is a totally empty, pre-formatted drive, and that's it. If you own a similar Backup Plus, the software pre-installed in it could be copied to this drive, and it'll work the same. I know a lot of people like to dump on Seagates, but to be honest, I've been using a dozen of them since they bought off Maxtor, and haven't had any breakdowns yet, so to be honest, I don't see the justification for the extra dough that a similar WD drive demands. But, that's just me.

I purchased this hard drive to increase the base 1TB drive. Installation was a breeze and it formatted with no hassle. I have had no storage issues with this drive but I have noticed one minor flaw. If you leave the Xbox in the "instant-on" mode, the drive will remain powered and spinning even if the Xbox is powered down. I'm concerned with long term health of the drive so I have opted out of that Xbox feature. Other than that it's great.

Easy to use, easy to install. More than enough space for downloading games

Haven't had any issues since purchase works as intended. Its a nice feature to move this with games installed to other xbox's as I have 3 in the house. This also works with the new series x since it is usb 3.0. Although you can't play the series x enhanced games from it only store, you can play other games from Xbox one x.

Would recommend for older game storage. Please note if you are getting this for newer consoles ( specifically the Xbox series x or s) it may not work with newer releases. while you can store newer games on it, the consoles can’t play it directly from the external drive! you would have to move it to the internal drive.

The drive was easy to set up and works great. I’m happy with it.

Originally didnt think it was going to work, when I purchased it in the store I was told it was compatible with the xbox one x and that it wouldnt need to be formatted. Unfortunately that wasnt true but luckily the xbox corrected the issue for me. So far it's been a great product!
