These drives are impressively compact and silent, neatly packaged, and come with a warranty that lasts for five years. Even tho the shipping damaged the package it worked fine

Running three of these in an 8 bay home built windows server 2022 box. Fresh five year warranty on all drives. "Burn in" and extended smart testing came up all green. I plan on extending my array one drive at a time. I wouldnt hesitate to buy these again. If i had to nitpick, they can get a little noisy, but with 9 platters, 18 heads, and a 24x7 300TB/y rating, that's nothing.

The product itself so far seems to be okay and is working fine. It does have a bit of a knocking noise at certain times but if you read a manufacturers (Seagate, WD, etc.) site this is common in larger drives. Short tests showed no flaws or errors but I have yet to have a chance to run an extended test. So far so good but I will always have a concern while this drive is in use... why? Whoever was responsible for shipping this drive needs a lesson on what is acceptable. The drive came in a box that could have fit another half dozen drives in it. There was a small packed air bag in there and that was it. Obviously that thing rattled around like a ball in a spray paint can. I highly doubt I will buy any more HDDs from Best Buy any time soon. I understand Amazon people shipping them out without a care, but come on, this is Best Buy... tech employees know better than that, or should. If I was not in a pinch I would have not even opened it and just sent it back, but I needed it so I stuck with it. I do not think I will take that chance again. Other items from Best Buy, sure, just not HDDs...

These are a little louder than the WD Red Plus that they are replacing, but when they are in the computer case, you cant hear them at all. They have had great performance and working great so far. Only had them for about 2 months so far, but usually if they last for a month, they will last for years.

Works great for Digital NAS setup

I bought 4 of these drives to create a Digital NAS setup and they have been running fine since 4/23. I read other reviews and this seemed to be the best priced compromise for my type of setup. The next higher set of drives would have cost me 50% more compared to this drive. I have no complaints at all!

I bought two to upgrade the drives in my NAS. The old ones were 4TB WD Red. Of the two I got, one was dead on arrival and would not mount at all. Copying 3.6 TB from the WD Red to this drive took a good 8-9 hours. Once I finally got a working second drive, copying from one IronWolf Pro 18TB to another took about 4.5 hours, so these drives are around twice as fast as my old drives. I have only had these drives for a day or two, so I cannot comment on reliability, but according to professional reviews, they are very reliable.

Cooler and quieter than the 10TB versions I have from a few years back. Best Buy sells the full retail version with a warranty. The other places sell OEM drives that Seagate does not need to warranty.
