works great for backups of data, nothing crazy going on here

I've been using Seagates for a while and this one is another solid drive from them. I'm just using for data storage so I'm not really taking advantage of the software they provided. If you don't want it, just reformat it to make a clean drive.

Purchased for additional Data backup. Easy to install and backup is fast. For the cost, safe way to backup your data. Use mine mostly to backup my Pictures file.

We have several of these Seagate drives in use by various family members. They have proved to be great tools for the storage of photos and backup of computers.

This little hard drive is great. My laptop is solid-state and doesn't have the capacity of my old one. This external hard drive works well to add large files and not fill up the laptop hard drive space.

I had to replace another external HD due to lack of Firewire support in WIN10. This device was easy to hook up, install and transfer stuff from the old drive. And the price was right as well. I highly recommend this product.

I've used Seagate for years but no more. I had to have Dell tech support set it up for me and even he had problems. So far, it's working, hence the 3 stars. (begrudgingly)

Purchased this PC to replace a defective one I bought 1 week prior to this one. So far it has performed satisfactorily... We shall see in a few months :)

Sadly, I don't have anything good to say about this product. Even the low price is a bad thing, considering that I lost that money purchasing this item. I bought it exclusively to use with my Macbook Pro 13" 2020 model's Time Machine (for backup), considering that I needed a computer upgrade. After completing the backup (and having my Macbook erased, as protocol when completing a trade-in with Apple), the hard drive now only makes a high pitch intermittent sound, but the disk itself cannot be found in the computer to complete the backup. Sadly I have two other colleagues that experienced the same issue with the same product, which having known this at the time I had the hard drive at the store, wouldn't have purchased it. Please Seagate, if you have workaround for this issue, I'd love to hear from you guys, because so far, it's like trying to drink water from an empty glass.

Great Harddrive that I got on discount. I used it to backup my family photos and other documents. Works exactly as it should and has been holding up just fine.

In order to actually use the drive, i had to install a software and reformat it to my computer (it has an M1 chip) so that was a little inconvenient. But other than that, it’s a standard storage drive and has A LOT of space (I was able to get a 2 year old computer and all 30GB of my files onto the drive will a little wait).

Needed to replace another portable hard drive for backing up my laptop this is a good purchase

I chose this primarily for the low cost and the warranty to recover any data should something go wrong. This was easy to setup and use. No complaints at all.

I have only used it for backing up a few files, so far. It worked very fast, and the Toolkit is very intuitive. A great safety net at a great price.

use this external hard drive as my "home cloud" to store things I want to have accessible on all PCs and when I am travelling. This Seagate is reliable and a good value for the price

Pretty solid gaming laptop. Touchpad stopped working within the first few months of buying it but other than that I’ve been gaming in it for over a year

This does a faster backup than any of my previous external hard drives. It is easy to find files on this external hard drive too.
