Folks let me tell you by experience, this is the best way to go, download all types of files for back up just in case your computer takes a dump, ever since it happened to me back in 2000 it’s a lesson learned, don’t sweat the money for this drive cause it’s so well worth it in the long run and not losing everything you once had, it’s very easy to use and transferring files just copy and paste, but don’t forget to make a separate folder for each file(s) transferred!

I bought this external hard drive for my son's Xbox only to find out he couldn't play the games he had from this external hard drive. He had to transfer them to & from this and his Xbox, which makes it a real pain when the games he wants to play are large in size. Eventually he was tired of having to wait an extended period of time to transfer games BACK to his Xbox to play & just quit using it. Making it more-or-less a waste of money. I haven't tried using it for anything else and I believe it's a good product, it was just my fault for misunderstanding the functionality of it with an Xbox. If you want to be able to play games directly from an external hard drive, my understanding is you have to buy the external SD card specifically for Xbox. Which is 3x the price of this. Whew. Live & learn. That's what happens with 4 boys.

I must commend Seagate for the impressive data transfer speeds. I've moved large video files and folders in no time, which is a significant improvement over my previous external hard drive. This is especially useful when I'm in a hurry or working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Seagate is a good quality company. Plenty of storage space and worked!

This was the third one purchased Like it for a convenient portable backup. I have given these as gifts to people who store all their personal information and photos on their computers.

This is a much improvement over the older WD 500GB model I had. I use it to hold family photos and videos. The transfer speed over the USB 3.0 makes it very fast. The 2TB size allow it house a lot of data. Also it's usually cheaper than its competitors with great reliability.

I like Seagate drives. All the ones I've gotten have been reliable but this drive, like some of their other drives has one issue. It works fine when connected to a USB port on the computer but it doesn't work when connected through a USB hub, even a powered USB 3.0 hub. It won't even work through a USB hub on another Seagate drive. Due to this, I can't give it the full 5 stars.

Was running low on memory and now that phones are no longer being made with an external memory card slot, I figure its time to get another External Hard-drive. The Seagate One Touch is easy to use and there is no formatting involved from Mac to Windows. I can even connect it to my Android phone and it allows me to view my files. Only downside is that the cable that comes with it is a USB 3.0 Micro B to a USB-A. USB A is slowly becoming obsolete so if you have a device that doesnt have USB A, you might consider using a dongle or purchasing a cable that has both ends for couple extra bucks.

So far this has been an excellent backup drive for my series X. It was very easy, just plug and play. Now it holds dozens and dozens of all my non-optimized seriesX games to leave room on the internal for those that need it.
