I was previously using an EVGA Supernova G5 850w to power my i9 10900k and 3080 TUF OC and it had excessive coil whine. Immediately started looking for a replacement and read nothing but good things about Seasonic. Decided to try the GX1000 out and it's just fantastic. It is dead SILENT when running demanding games such as RDR2, Metro Exodus, Insurgency Sandstorm, etc., at 2k 144hz. I would highly recommend this PSU. Always DO YOUR RESEARCH before purchasing a PSU for your custom build, people. You can easily find how spotty EVGA PSU quality is by doing a Google search. The PSU is the heart of your PC so pay the extra money for something quality to power your build and it'll give you peace of mind. 5/5 Excellent PSU

Perfect power supply that hasn’t given me any problems. No coil whine and it’s supporting my 3070 well. Easy to setup and the packaging was pretty nice.

Glad I bought this one for my 3080. No complains comes with all of the cables needed and then some.

I usually buy Corsair RMx series, but I like the cables on the Seasonic more than the Corsair. It handles my RTX 3090 nicely.

Replaced an EVGA 1000W G3 with this. The G3 couldnt keep up with my 6900XT's voltage fluctuations, but where EVGA dropped the ball, Seasonic delivered!

Terrible quality. Ports melted and it is no longer useful from those psie ports.

I built a high end system with this powering it approximately 2 years ago. Has a 10 year warranty which is industry leading. In the past I had to send in a different seasonic power supply that failed 3 years in and they replaced it with no issue or delays. Great customer service! As for this power supply, it's running solid and I have had absolutely no issues with it. You can't go wrong with seasonic!

Seasonic makes an incredible product! I've used their 750w platinum Focus model for a couple years powering a 2070 and 2080 super with a 5800x. Perfect! I moved to an overclocked 6900 XT and wanted a little more overhead and to keep the system in the efficiency sweet spot around 50%-60% load. This power supply was a wonderful choice! I was also able to use my existing braided cables. The new graphics card requires 3 8-pin pcie power connectors. This power supply has enough connections to adequately supply all 3 as well as the 2 8-pin EPS (or CPU) power connectors found on newer power hungy motherboards/CPUs. I cannot pick out the sound at all amoung the other components of my pc. Additionally, I've noticed very little coil whine, though that could be a well behaving graphics card. Seasonic makes some great power supplies. I have used them and corsair, and if anything, Seasonic are typically quieter and shorter (14cm vs 15cm+) at a given wattage. Great choice for any build regardless of application, as long as 1000w is what you are looking for. Most builds will comfortably use 650w and 750w power supplies.

I got this on sale and it is amazing. Some reviewers claim it short circuited their system. I’ll be honest, I just think those people didn’t properly set up their computer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but that’s just me. It works great for me, have had it in for 3 weeks without a single problem. There is also some extra juice in the PSU after turning off the switch on the back so if your PC shutdown mode RGB stays on for a couple extra seconds that’s normal.

I had a 750 EVGA and turns out, 750 Watts is a drop in the ocean compared to how much power my recently acquired RTX 3090 needs. Yeah, I recently stood inline camping outside Best Buy to get my hands on an RTX 3090, they do exist somewhere in the universe! Super reliable, efficient, and I LOVE that you can interchange the CPU/PCIE power slots on these modular units. Great as a primary or secondary PSU in a mining rig even. Really quiet as well, built solid. Couldn't be happier, great price too!

Building my Tron themed rig and needed this for the build to ensure long-life. I always buy to large a power supply for my builds because I've bought used computers with ones that are to small and had them fail.

Super nice modular power supply . Runs quiet, gold rating, lots of watts, fully modular. What more could you want? Oh yeah, and seasonics amazing warranty.

So far, so very, very good. I do not like replacing power supplies in my 'puter. The stress is right up there with a new mobo and cpu. But, after all was said and done, when I hit the power button, my system started right back up and has, so far, run beautifully. Actually, some of my components/drives seems somewhat faster, probably owing to the fact that I was putting strain on my previous 650w from 8 years ago. We'll see how how it handles my new RTX3000, when it's finally installed. Anyway, the 10 year warranty is certainly a plus and Seasonic are know for quality units, so I'm not too worried.

This is a very good PSU at a very good price. The company is solid and has been quick to respond to all of my email inquiries. The cables are flat and manageable with good quality. Modular is the way to go. They genuinely show they care about their products and customers through their actions.

Powers everything in my PC without any issue. I mean, can it run crisis? not by itself. GPU that runs crisis? More that enough. Does it blow up like company "G"'s product? Nope. Does it come with enough wires? yup. I still have a bunch left after building my PC. Can you buy this at this price? not in newegg or microcenter.

I initially purchased the 850 watt version of this PSU from best buy, unfortunately it had incredibly loud coil whine, and so I had to replace it. Deciding to give Best Buy another chance with extra money in hand this time I opted into purchasing the 1000 watt version. After a solid month of usage I am pleased to report that my coil whine issue is no longer present. This power supply is capable of powering my 3090 + i9 11900k with ease. tl;dr: Great power supply, poor quality control resulting in luck of the draw.
