I used this to replace the preinstalled garbage 850W power supply that barely worked for one year, but was already out of warranty. I used an energy cost calculator with all the components currently in the PC and the typical usage and it showed that less than 600W was actually needed for typical use, but then I loaded the PC with all possible planned upgrades and it jumped up to just over 825W. I highly doubt it will ever reach that demand, and it certainly won't ever need 1000W, but this power supply only gives what the PC pulls from it, and it has a 10 year warranty, so it will more than suffice until time to upgrade to a new PC altogether. Bonus perk: I love the modularity.

I have owned for over 4 months now and no issues. Silent is a great word. I did not appreciate the cords provided as I found them bulky and excessive but wont knock off stars for that. Would buy again and I would update my review if things went south

This is one of the better psu around. Has and excellent build quality with high quality components. The warranty can't be beat. I have been building computers for a few years and Seasonic is a brand I always gravitate towards.

Good: Solid bargain for a reliable unit. Bad: My only negative comment is that it comes with 3 PCIe express cables. For the sake of brevity, it would be better if it came with 4 cables rather than the 3 cables that have daisy chained 6+2 pin connectors. There is even an input spot to allow a 4th cable but it is not included. Seasonic does not provide additional cables and you have to use a 3rd party. Ugly: There are many reports of these units not being compatible with RTX 3080 or 3090 GPUs.

Amazing power supply running it with a 5900x and 3090 with no problems what so ever I very much recommend it for anyone with high end components you won’t be disappointed and it also runs super quiet unlike other power supplies

Been using this to power an RTX 3080 with a 5900x and full RGB, all the goodies. Has been a solid and dependable PSU so far. Honestly cant think of anything to complain about. Comes with all the cables you could need.

This is a great power supply. Fully modular so you don't have to hook up any cords that you won't be using. 1000W so you're future proofed for a while. One thing to be aware of is that currently Seasonic is NOT providing the mesh bags to keep your cords in due to the pandemic. Instead you get some cheap plastic bags that you're probably going to throw away.

Bought this for my brother for Christmas, he's building a Rig. Can't go wrong with Seasonic, reliable and insanely efficient. I have a 850 Platinum and the fan NEVER spins, I don't even have it on hybrid mode.

While I would have liked some RGB, it's quite hard to find on 1000W PSUs. So far this thing has been working very well, is super quiet, and has future proofed me for years.

Was great when i needed it for my 6900xt but i had to upgrade to a 1200 watt when i got my 4090.

Well executed modular design with all necessary cables. Powers an ASUS ROG Crosshair Hero VIII with Ryzen 9 5900x processor. Very reliable and consistent after 3 weeks of heavy use, frequently processing video files with CPU at 100% for extended periods (30 hours+ per work period). Definitely recommend

This is my first power supply, and with the RTX 40 Series expected to use a lot of power, I figured I need a 1000W PSU. Seasonic is the most trusted PSU so I made sure to go with them. I can't speak personally to longevity, but I don't even know it's there in my PC, so that's a good sign.

Excellent and reliable power supply, that supplies plenty of power for my new build which contains the 3080 t.i. and so many other components and I'm not even touching the top of the ceiling of what this thing is capable of. My only small bright is the cables could be a better quality oh, but they're still better than most.
