Cons

  • When I purchased my computer it came with Webroot Internet Security plus, then it expired so I purchased just the Antivirus, now I cannot get it to register this one, it keeps telling me my subscription is expired, so there is no way to do any scans or anything, I will be taking this back and will be forced to buy the more expensive one.damvinny

I had this product for about a Year or more, I am an IT guy and usually I would support the product by installing it on my customers computers but the challenge comes when trying to get a hold of customer service or to reset your password, right there is when the pain will start. Who cares if you are up to your neck of work and with a pretty busy agenda, if you try to reset your password or your security code, you won't get it right when you need it, it will takes hours in order to get that link to reset your password. on this days, is unacceptable, impossible to deal with such kind of service. so if your are full of free time to wait until a company wants to answer you, then this is the product for you, but if you are in trouble, my friend this is the Antivirus Software you want to install to get stress out and pull your hair and pain on your shoulders, yes this is your thing... if not? then DO NOT INSTALL THIS SOFTWARE WITH A CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT!! - if you have the -6 months trial, try to reset your password, just for fun and wait ages!~ haha nah I am good, no more crappy customer services on my computer. no more! ahh and this is not everything, I was complaining with the CHAT customer services and the person NAOMI J didn't wanted to listen to me but to fight me back with silly questions not allowing me to ventilate my need, so she just terminated the chat and that's it, there is no way to track her back etc. -

Anti-Virus software is like meatloaf; everybody has their favorite, they like the taste and they don't want to try any others. Such as it is with my fondness for Webroot Anti-Virus software. A long time ago, Norton was the big dog …and big it was taking up huge amounts of computer resources to provide protection. Webroot came along with their lean mean protection machine and I made the switch …found some new meatloaf and never looked back; I've been a Webroot fan for over a decade. This latest Webroot version is so "light" you barely know it's running. But it does fire off, especially when surfing the web. It's scans are performed during down times and overall this is about as painless an AV program as you can get. It is truly a set and forget piece of software. You can get into it manually if you need to run a scan or set some additional parameters. But the "autopilot" works exceptionally well. Now what this program won't do is revive a heavily infected computer. No AV software will do that. You need professional help and sometimes drastic measures. You shouldn't blame this software if this is the state of your PC. The best deal is the "three-fer". A single purchase with three licenses for three computers. Highly recommended.

Let me start by saying, I've used Webroot for at least 3 years now. With my most recent renewal, I typed the new code into both my computers like I have in the past, but this time it made both of them completely inoperable. After a lot of frustration I managed to re-install it on my Mac desktop and it seems to be working again. I still can't get it to work on my laptop (I had limited MBs to start with so I'm literally trying to delete files to make enough space to re-install it, but that is difficult when the software is making it so it won't even book). Even when I re-installed it on my Mac, It won't let me overwrite the old version so I have 2 versions of the same stupid program taking up space. Not sure what they did, but they have royally jacked this up. Disappointed. I assumed with the 1st computer, I had done something wrong, but the 2nd makes it clear it is a system issue and it has cost me HOURS of frustration and research. Avoid at all costs!!!

Had issues installing because we had a free version of this installed with new computer purchase. Bought this when that expired. Installation was difficult because the expired version needed to be removed from the computer before this could be installed which we didn't know and thought it would just update and override the expired version but no. We had to create an entirely new online account with Webroot and was finally able to install it. I do not recommend renewing the free antivirus that comes when you purchase a new computer. It was a lot cheaper to buy this in the store and start fresh. Working as it should.

WEBROOT works fine for me. I am not a Computer Geek-So as to the technical end, I can't comment. For basic needs, it works for what I need. I advise you to purchase a program at Best Buy or elsewhere-Rather than something downloaded on the Internet. I had my computer lock-up recently and advised to call a number to "FIX it." A snotty young guy answered and wanted me to allow HIM access to my computer. I said, AND you will charge me." He said, "NOTHINGS free in this world, sir." Don't fall for it. GET A PHYSICAL PROGRAM. Talk to the Best Buy folks if you have any questions.

I have been using Webroot for several years now. I like how easy it is conduct my own scans if needed, and set up regular scans. There is a fantastic feature that checks websites while I am browsing the web using search engines. Webroot will color coat the security "safeness" for the website and place the appropriate color bubble with a check-mark or 'x' to the left of the name. Webroot provides a detail explanation on why a particular website is deemed safe or unsafe and some of those settings can be changed to fit the user's preferences.

I'm definitely not quite up to speed on all things IT....I just wanted a decent antivirus that is easy to install and that protects me. I haven't had any major issues with Webroot....the hardest part was figuring out how to renew when I bought another year as part of a sale instead of renewing through the software, but a little Google helped solve that pretty quick. I guess I don't know that it is working but I've had it a couple years without issue, so I think it is probably doing the trick.

I didn't want to auto renew and pay more when my service expired. I had rewards to use and saved money. However I still get popups saying my subscription is expired since they want you to renew and get ripped off. I find this annoying. I would think if I install new software the old software should be able to detect this and recognize coverage. Please do something about this!

So you're looking to get an excellent heavy duty tool to help you stop hacking and viruses. This is a fairly good tool to achieve that goal. It looks for bad programs, it isolates them and offers you options. It does the job, but isn't totally perfect. It works for what you want it to do, but keep your os system updated also. You might actually enjoy a full year of protection, but the rent is due every year, so consider if you like it $50 @ year. If so, I say you will like it.

We have used Webroot for 3 years and never had any problems with virus or malware. It scans much faster and uses much less memory than other programs we used in the past (eg McAfee, Trend Micro). It also recommends that you concurrently run Windows Defender so that you get the protection of two programs. I know that there are mixed opinions on this product out there, but it is an Editor's Choice from PCMag and it has worked well for us.

This antivirus program is a good tool for protecting you from online threats. It's also super light weight (sales guy told me 1 MB). Installation is speedy, which is no surprise when the package is so lightweight that there's almost nothing to do. Webroot doesn't mind if you have another antivirus installed, either. Overall very satisfied with this product.

The software included a CD and the option to install online. I used the online install and it was very easy. Ran a scan and it found a flash file that a site had automatically downloaded on my computer. I had already put the file in the Trash but Webroot found it, quarantined it and removed it. I have not noticed the computer running any slower.

This is a present for dad. I have the online downloaded version and I never had any issues with it. It blocks and alerts me of any intrusions. Dad was impressed so I got him the same product. It doesn't slow down my computer when it is running and is very fast. I would recommend this product.

Went to Best Buy to get a Antivirus for my new laptop, I remember that on my previous laptop that it came with a Antivirus software and it worked very well. So, I found it - which was Webroot Secure Anywhere Antivirus Software. It is a great software, it protects up to 3 devices and carries a year protection on the software and is good for PC and Mac. Great value as well at: $39.99.

I was very happy with me he product. I would recommend it for use by my friends and family. It's very easy to install. The price was very good for the amount of features that I received. The most useful element was the firewall that came with the product. Webroot Internet Security Antivirus 2018 (3-Device) (1-Year Subscription) - Mac|Windows

I have used this product ever since I purchased my laptop computer about 4 years ago & a year's subscription to this anti-virus software came with it. In the past, I had always used McAfee and inevitably would still encounter problems with viruses getting past it. With Webroot, I have never had that problem. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an effective anti-virus software.

Works great for our office computers. We prefer it because it consumes very little background usage like other bulkier softwares. I will say, if you purchase the 3 device software, the 1year starts from the time a key is activated, not once you put it on the additional computers

Some scanners use up noticeable computer resources when running, but this can never be noticed. Scans are super fast and are unnoticeable. I haven't had any virus's since installation. The one issue I've had was that at one point after a Windows update, the virus scanner kept flagging a Windows system file as suspicious. This was patched later.

After getting a virus on my computer, I bought Webroot which took 100 threats off with ease. It's was easy to install and figure out. I like how it tells you the safety level of each site when researching through google, and will warn you if you're about to enter something potentially harmful. I will definitely be buying this product in the future.
