I had this system installed in my 2016 Ford F-150. It lasted roughly 6 months then started turning on and off sporadically. Now the remote start does not work and the panic alarm is silent.

Hi, Its awesome to hear from you the good reviews regarding this device. I wish to buy this Viper security alarm but one thing i need to know that, I don’t need the remote start connection. Can i use this only for security alarm ?? And could any one help me to know from where i can install this this device? I stay in silver spring. So is there any device installation center? I am asking your cooperation on this query. Thanks in advance.

I saw the “Installation Required” in the description and thought it was just for warranty support. But no, Directed actually requires you to be an authorized dealer before you can create a tech account in order to set up and configure this system with their app or online tool. I’ll be returning this and will buy a system from a different manufacturer.
