Broke in 40 days

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The scooter broke with an error 40 which is an abnormal Control Board Temperature Sensor. Used this scooter for 40 days and it already broke. Now I have to send it to Segway to diagnose and to fix it. But they don’t even provide a box to ship it to California and so I would have to pay for a box to ship it.

We cannot provide boxes but we will be happy to help offset this by providing a courtesy prepaid shipping label. Many of our customers have had good luck finding suitable boxes at our dealers such as Target, Best Buy, Sam's Club, etc, or at local bicycle shops.

Contacted segway and was told they would send me a part for me to repair. 4 weeks later no part. bike still doesnt work.

Unsafe - buggy software, unstable steering

Another issue is handlebars instability due to what I feel like bad angle for steering. I am retuning it as I crashed on this scooter due to those hardware/software bugs. Without these issues, this could have been the best scooter in the market.

Turned on once then never again!

I registered everything on the app, updated firmware. I left it to charge, then went i went to try to ride it, the rear wheel made a strange noise then turned off and doesnt want to turn on! Completely unacceptable.

Too expensive not easy use and slow slow

Have to set up app online before it will go above 15 mph...very frustrating so i returned it also too much money for such a slow scooter

Item availability sucks

Scoot Scoot Fun

Assembly was easy as it was just the handlebars and after connecting to the Segway app i was off. I was able to get the speed to 22mph which is plenty fast but had to be unlocked in the App first. Range doesn't seem to be 43 miles but that's because I'm 190 pounds and going full speed so maybe 28 miles. Overall beautiful build quality and very happy with my new ride!

I take it everywhere, gym, volunteering, the whole 9 yards. It's a sturdy scooter and I'm glad I bought it. Best Buy's return policy made the exchange pretty seamless. I think it'll last a long time; so I'm happy. Plus I got it on sale for $799 which is a decent deal, at 3 bucks a gallon I' break even at 5,000 miles (less if the cost of gas goes up).
