this is a great scooter. The ride is very smooth and it excels quite quickly easily folds up to bit in your trunk or wherever else you wanna put it. It goes over bumps and things like train tracks easily. I like the blinkers, but they are kind of hard to manage but overall it’s a great scooter. I’m very glad I got it.

The Segway Max G2 is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a premium electric scooter with great range, speed, and comfort. While the weight might be a consideration for some, the trade-offs are well worth it for the performance and reliability you get. Whether you’re commuting, running errands, or exploring the city, the Max G2 won’t disappoint.

I’ve been riding the Segway for about a month now. This is my second scooter. The first was a cheaper Gotrax with no suspension. This Segway Max G2 is like riding on a cloud - the suspension is truly amazing. Once you ride this thing you’ll never want to ride a scooter without suspension. Top notch build quality. Performs as advertised by Segway regarding range, speed, etc. App works seamlessly with the scooter, making it easy to customize riding preference to your liking. Very stable ride. Good acceleration for the price. Also - my neighborhood has many long and steep hills and the Segway climbs them with ease. For the price - nothing comes close to the features and performance you get with the Segway. I would highly recommend this scooter to anyone looking in this price range. I like it so much I bought another one! Now I have 2.

Great scooter. Good power. Can easily take on rhe biggest of riders. I love the features. Good loud horn, turn signals , find my integration, app is great. It’s sooooo heavy. I can carry it but it takes a lot of effort. Forget about carrying it with you if you commute and need to carry it. Also, it’s quite large. It’s great if your want to ride with your kid. But, it’s so large it doesn’t fit in my Tesla Model 3 boot. I need to fold the seats for it to fit. The other issue I’m going to contact Segway about is, my brakes are so loud. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re drum breaks or if it’s just new and need to break in.
Pros: Overall, good scooter. Build quality is exceptional (hence the weight? I can only imagine if they used lighter materials its range will be much higher), nice app, great features.
Cons: Too heavy to carry, size maybe an issue if you have a smaller car, noisy brakes.

As a 6'5" 350 lb father who loves exploring with my son, I can't emphasize enough how much the Segway Max G2 electric scooter has revolutionized our short trips around town and adventurous outings. This scooter is an absolute powerhouse, perfectly tailored for my larger body size, and its exceptional build quality has exceeded all my expectations.
First and foremost, let's talk about power! The Segway Max G2 packs a serious punch under the hood. Its robust motor effortlessly propels me up hills and over uneven terrain, giving me the confidence to take on any path or trail without feeling the slightest strain. This extra power is a game-changer for someone of my size, and I never have to worry about sluggish performance or a bumpy ride, even when carrying my son on the back.
Beyond its sheer strength, the Segway Max G2 offers an impressive range, allowing us to embark on exciting journeys that stretch up to 10 miles without any anxiety about running out of battery power. This means we can comfortably venture to the library, sporting events, or even enjoy a leisurely lunch in the town center without the fear of being stranded.
One of the aspects that I truly admire is the sturdy build of this electric scooter. As a heavier rider, I was initially concerned about finding a scooter that could handle my weight without compromising on stability or durability. The Segway Max G2 effortlessly rises to the challenge, boasting a solid frame and high-quality materials that instill a sense of reliability and safety.
Additionally, the large, anti-slip deck provides ample room for me to comfortably plant my feet, ensuring a steady and secure ride every time. I genuinely appreciate the thoughtful design that goes into accommodating various body sizes, as it has allowed me to bond with my son over thrilling scooter adventures, making memories that will last a lifetime.
Speaking of bonding, riding the Segway Max G2 with my son has been an incredible experience. The joy this scooter brings us is truly priceless, and it has become an indispensable tool for strengthening our father-son bond.
Overall, the Segway Max G2 electric scooter is a force to be reckoned with. It has the power to tackle any terrain while maintaining a well-built and secure structure for riders of larger sizes. As a 350 lb father, I couldn't have asked for a better companion to explore the world with my son. This is my very first electric scooter and I love it. I use it for commuting so far I’ve put about 65 miles on it. Charges easily and full charge takes about 5 hours. It’s durable, great quality, comfortable ride, and a lot of power I have yet to use sport mode because honestly I haven’t needed it. I’ve gone up VERY steep hills with no problem for those in the nyc area it got me up gunhill with ease and i have gone up even steeper hills which was a huge factor for me. I weigh 165 lbs and it’s been a dream to ride. The only downside is that it’s super heavy so it’s a little annoying to lug around and to get it inside. Besides that I love it and use it everyday, haven’t called a cab since I got it lol

Started out bad, first one I got had a faulty battery, but I took it to the store and exchanged it and I’ve had no issues with the second one. It’s got good speed up to 22mph and it’s a smooth ride even for me at 250 lbs. in terms of distance I ride about 4 miles to and from work before charging on sport+ mode and it is usually at 84% when I plug it in. So going top speed with a heavy guy, I’m guessing I could get 12-15 miles before running out of battery. Also I’m 6’3 and the height is perfect for me out of the box. I got it on sale for $800 so that was a great deal for me. Not sure I would have bought it at its original price of $1300 but it would have been a good deal still if it’s your main source of getting to work.

I am a huge fan of Segway’s newest addition to the Ninebot KickScooter family! I previously rocked the “mid-range” Ninebot F30 (which was great for the 14 months I had it) so making the decision to stick with this trusted brand was a no brainer for me. The biggest downside to the F30 was simply the battery life… that is no longer an issue AT ALL with my new Max G2! Not only am I pleased with the new range (I ride at 20mph and still get a whopping ~25 mile range), BUT the level of comfort that the Max G2 offers is considerably better. The built in shocks provide such a smooth ride it makes you feel like you are just gliding through the city streets and sidewalks!
The ONLY downside I can think to mention is the weight of the scooter. Given all the upgrades the Max G2 offers, it makes sense that it would be a little on the heavier side, plus I may have gotten too used to the weight of my F30 which very well could’ve given me some false expectations, in any case I thought it worth mentioning.
I am still extremely pleased with my purchase and can easily see myself keeping this for at least the next couple years.

After 60 miles with this scooter, I can say that this is an awesome product. The 3 drive modes let you easily manage the type of ride you’d like to have. Cruise mode is perfect for city riding (like in dt Orlando), While sport mode with the unlock-able top speed of 22 mph is perfect for going long distances and trail riding. Here is a breakdown of my thoughts:
Pros:
1. The range is amazing! I weigh 200 lbs and have gone on numerous long distance rides with no range anxiety
2. The suspension makes it a buttery smooth ride over any bumps, cobblestone, and sidewalk transitions. Compared to my other scooter with no suspension, it makes a HUGE difference.
3. Easy to carry and store in the car with the fold and lock design
4. Cruise control can be enabled by holding the turn signal for 2 seconds. This is massively convenient!
5. Acceleration is great. Turn signals are useful.
6. The grips are super thick and grippy
Cons:
1. The set up was a little wonky on the app on the first day, but the built in chat support got me sorted pretty quickly
2. When the scooter goes below 75% charge, the top speed is limited to 19 mph.
3. You cannot change the drive mode while riding. You have to stop in order to change from eco to cruise to sport
Overall the pros far outweigh the cons and I can’t recommend this scooter enough. If you find this on sale, buy it! If you use a Best Buy cc you can pay it off over the course of a year. Can’t recommend enough!

Good Scooter, but.....

Good scooter overall but has a few issues I have experience. I am 215lbs and have put about 30 miles on the G2 over the first week I have had it. It is great to be able to change drive modes with riding by double clicking the power button which will change your top speed and throttle response. The suspension is good at absorbing the rough road and even allows for some off road fun. Sport mode offers thrilling acceleration while eco mode is great for when you are just learning to ride.
But there are some issues. I have had the scooter overheat and show error H1 while going uphill in sport mode. This probably won't happen for light riders or if in eco or drive mode that limits the max watt output to less than 600w while sport exceds 1000w as shown on the app.
I did have a scary moment when I was traveling downhill full throttle approaching 22mph when suddenly the scooter regen braked hard to limit the speed from exceeding 22mph. This forced my weight forward and nearly caused me to crash. I was able to recreate the same situation shortly after. My battery level was around 50% and I believe it was trying to limit the speed to 20mph due to the lowering battery level.
Overall good 4 star scooter but needs some bugs worked out to earn the 5th.

G2’s A Great Upgrade

I had 2 x G30’s for the past 5 years. I keep one spare scooter for visitors. Also bought the G30LP two years ago and was disappointed with that one. It’s smaller & lighter, yes, but no suspension, different external charger, etc. A bit of a downgrade IMO. I live in Hollywood, CA and TWO scooters were robbed from my own garage two weeks ago, so I bought the G2…
The G2 is a major upgrade! I live in a house downtown, so I don’t need to fold it for commuting or taking it into an apartment or anything - I’ve probably only needed to fold down scooters 2 or 3 times a year to pack into my car. So many people write negative things about the weight of the G2.. As an avid scooter user, which is my main method of transport, I don’t see anyone mentioning the huge safety upgrade. G2 has suspension, indicators, way better acceleration (for intersections - I hated getting the nod to go, and then take off like a snail - not anymore), upgraded handlebar safety release, better front and rear lights, proper reflectors, etc. It’s a road built scooter!!
I’ve only had it a week now.. but the suspension means that I no longer have to jump unearned sidewalks for fear of popping a tyre. The added power with the newer model is very noticeable. Personally, I don’t like those cheap scooters that go 40/50 miles an hour - that’s too much IMHO. This G2 is stable and reliable.

I’ve owned a total of seven electric scooters and this is by far my favorite. Suspension is awesome, blinkers and other lighting were designed well, 22 mph feels screaming fast, and the app adds some nice features and customizations. After six days of use, no issues on either scooter (we own two).
You can switch between modes while riding by double-tapping the power switch, which is contrary to what one reviewer said, but I tested it last night and it works perfectly. Just keep in mind that taking a hand off the handlebar is somewhat risky, so you’re always better off stopping first.
I know some users have reported overheating issues with the motor, but I haven’t experienced that problem. I weigh 187 and I ride up hills frequently. I’ll update my review if anything changes.

Excellent product. I feel like a genius for buying it before the release date for $799. For what I got, it seems like a great deal.
The top speed on mine is set at 20 mph. It’s very fast and I’m not interested in setting it to 22.
This is my first scooter. The suspension is nice. I’m 60 years old and I consider myself to be above average strength for my age, and while i have no problem carrying it, I could easily see 60 year old-plus people being bummed out by the weight of the scooter. I live on the first floor but still have to walk up steps to enter the building. Carrying it open, rather than folded, is way, way easier for me.
I weigh 210 pounds and was surprised when I encountered a very steep hill that the scooter just stopped on. Would not go. Hills that are less steep it goes up, just at a slower speed.
It does not go 43 miles on a charge, it goes less than 20 for me. But any trip over a few miles feels kind of impractical on a scooter anyway, so it’s fine.
I haven’t owned a car in four years, and I’m proud of that. This is a nice addition to my walking.
