This review is after 1 year of light use. This escooter is has maintains charge and is ablw to do long ranges in one full charge. Though the range decreases drastically after 1 year of light use.
Another significant safety hazard if the handle. Handle bar is connected to the steering column via 4 allen screws , this design is defective as the joint starts to shake over time and makes squeaky sound. The sound gets louder and louder ane one can observe that the joint between handle bar and the column is not sturdy anymore. Thus making this scooter undriveable.

At first the scooter was great, a useful and successful purchase for commute. However, after the 8th day of use, the wheels began to make an unidentified rattling noise. The battery seems to die out faster after every use, despite allowing it to charge the recommended amount on the instructions. It seems as if it’s not on the speed mode, it takes longer to accelerate. It has become an inconvenience to own.

The scooter looks like it was already used when I took it off from the box. The charging port cover easily comes off, and the tires are so old that it only took me 2 weeks and then it was already shredding off.

Awful Scooter and Even Worse Customer Support

This product does not perform as advertised. The battery dies after about 7 miles, not 25 miles. The product is falsely advertised by both Best Buy and Segway. Best Buy refused to accept a return outside of the return period even though the battery does not function as advertised. After authorizing an in-person return to the Pentagon City, VA location, the Pentagon City, VA location refused to accept the return. I attempted to return the product to Segway using the pre-paid FedEx shipping label, but FedEx refused to accept it due to the size of the box. Segway admitted that the product's advertised specs do not account for realistic ridership conditions and offered to "repair" my item by replacing it with an identical unit, which is presumably also falsely advertised. Segway offered me a free "upgrade" to two cheaper models, which would have required me to deliver the product to Segway- which, again, is not possible because FedEx refused to accept the shipment. This saga has been going on for nearly two months. Segway manufactured and falsely advertised a defective product and Best Buy falsely advertised and sold a defective product, and now neither company will stand behind the product or the warranty provided with the product. These fraudulent business practices are highly concerning and reflect badly on both companies.

Slope (Approx. 15%) is tested while riding with a full battery, 66-265lbs load (30-120 kg), 14-104F (-10-40C), the other factors that affect performance include number of starts and stops, ambient temperature, surface (smooth or rough or bumpy), wind speed, age of battery (charge cycles), tire pressure etc. We hope this helps improve your riding experience in the future.
