Not for beginners, G2 has better battery, and is much more stable when it comes to bumps.

Disappointed by the lack of quality control in the manufacturing process behind the Max G3 scooter. 3 key things that were issues: 1. Misaligned LCD Backlight 2. Surface Damage to Power On button 3. Misaligned Disc Brake - Can hear it inconsistently rubbing against brake pads when applying pressure. 4. Power delivery on Boost was erratic - dangerously so.

I’ve tried several electric scooters over the years, but the Segway Max G3 completely redefined what I thought was possible from an e-scooter. From the moment I stepped on, I could feel the solid engineering, power, and smooth handling that makes this scooter a game-changer for daily commuting and weekend adventures alike. The dual suspension and 11-inch self-healing tires glide over potholes and bumps like they’re nothing. The powerful 850W motor (peaks at 2000W!) delivers instant torque and easily takes on steep hills without losing momentum. I regularly hit 28 mph and still feel in full control thanks to the SegRide stability system. But it’s not just about power—this scooter is smart. The TFT display is crisp and intuitive, showing everything from speed to battery to navigation. I love the AirLock keyless start and Apple Find My integration—no more worrying about theft or keys. The under-deck lights and 360° visibility system are also a big safety bonus, especially at night. Battery life? Absolutely amazing. I consistently get over 30 miles per charge even in real-world conditions, and charging is fast and easy. It’s not the lightest scooter, but that’s the trade-off for having so much tech, performance, and durability packed into one machine. Whether you’re a commuter, thrill-seeker, or just want to ride in serious style, the Segway Max G3 is worth every penny. Aggressive looks and the power to back it and it is as fast as advertised. The range is a little exaggerated, but I am 6-3, 200 lbs so I'm not in the test demographic they used in their milage ratings. The headlight is extremely bright, but it's not adjustable. It's either on or off; no low-beam. As a result, it's uncomfortable for walkers and cyclists walking towards me on the bike paths. I turn the headlight off when opposing traffic is in my path. The running light is powerful enough to get me past them without blinding them, The suspension is awesomely smooth and the ride feels safe, steady, and solid. And man, the brakes are fantastic. Great purchase - love my G3. The plusses outweigh the headlight drama.

Segway scooters use the highest quality materials, and build quality is among the best in the game. They use bespoke parts, and as a result, their scooters don't look like high school garage shop projects like many in the market do. There are good and bad aspects of that, of course, one bad thing being that parts may not be universally available, like other scooters using off-the-shelf parts. The power and acceleration on the G3 is pretty good in 'Sport' mode. I would say 'Drive' mode is only used to conserve battery for me, as it's rather boring and uninspiring, especially since top speed is neutered to 16 mph in that mode. I've owned the original Max G30P, P100s, and I currently have the GT2. The G3 is a fun ride with a firm chassis, and soft suspension. The scooter looks and feels premium, and feels super nice to ride - until you can't. My biggest gripe about the G3 is its pitiful range. It's so bad that it almost makes everything good about the scooter pointless. It's so bad that it almost doesn't make sense. Also, the fact that they decided to lock 20 mph behind 'Sport' mode is baffling, with 16 mph being the top allowable speed in 'Drive' mode. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I feel like the only reason Segway did something so ridiculous was so that people are forced to be in 'Sport' mode, with its much more aggressive power curve just to be able to go faster than 16 mph, draining our battery much faster than it needs to (and contributing to the atrocious range) , making us feel like we will need their soon-to-be-released external battery. There is just no sensible reason for doing this. Frankly, it's rather ridiculous. Until they change this via a firmware update, I'll assume this is the reason why. Another issue that I had was that my first G3 had rattles I couldn't locate, so I had to exchange it for a new one. This new one also had rattling, but I located it, and got rid of it, but the front fork also has squeaking issues. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of boxing it back up to return it again, so I'll just have to contact Segway for a warranty part and replace the fork myself. For me that's less of a hassle, honestly. Minus 1-star for comical range, minus another star for limiting 'Drive' mode to 16 mph.

I bought the Ninebot Max G3, and it’s an amazing scooter. It fully matches the official specs — fast, powerful, and can go about 14–16 miles at top speed 28 without stopping. For around $1000, it’s a great deal with excellent Best Buy warranty support. I had a few flat tires, and Best Buy helped me right away, super friendly and professional service! The Real speed 28 mph, the suspension is simply the best. The most important aspect why you should buy this electric scooter is because of the support of best buy in everything.

I’ve recently switched from bicycle to e-scooter for my daily commute, and this has been great. I would recommend a scooter like the max g3 because it allows me to go off of the bicycle path and into the main roads, as its top speed of 28 mph can keep up with traffic. The suspension is great for city roads. I do a 9 mile round trip commute and I only use around 50% of the battery doing top speed. I would recommend this to my fellow city dwellers

I love my G3 Ninebot Max. I had the original Ninebot Max, so I can see where the Ninebot has evolved from its original design and the imrovements are excellent. In regular sport mode, I can travel across town going 20 mph. With boost mode, I can travel around my vicinity and run errands and hit speeds of up to 27 mph. The shocks are really good, I love the improved standing area, I like the hoop on the front for locking the scooter, and I like the hook for a shopping bag. I can ride this one on brick roads with no problem whereas the original ninebot max basically couldn't handle it. Highly recommend.

So far this scooter is doing great. I absolutely love the smooth ride and all the options available. The brakes work good, it lasts a long time on a single charge also. It charges fast, cant wait til summer to ride it more

very nice scooter I just received from my lady for Christmas . I'm a biker ( 2 Hayabusa's , Victory Vision) and saw this in a store and thought it was pretty cool with full suspension and disc brakes and a close to 30mph top speed . But honestly the cool factor wore off pretty quick after 30 minutes of riding . You can't ride it on sidewalks (not supposed to anyway) and not fast enough to ride in traffic so you're limited to side streets and back roads when it's no traffic . battery seem to deplete pretty fast , never ran out of power just noticed after plugging back up after a quick run it took awhile to charge back up . Long as its understood that this is mainly an adult toy and not main means of transportation , you should be good ...

I’ve had my MAX G3 for a month and love it! It’s solid, smooth, and great on rough roads. The speed, battery life, and brakes are excellent. My son uses it for school commutes and arrives with style. Super comfortable and stylish(according to my son)—definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

I have a MAX G2 and now this MAX G3. I will say that the MAX G3 is an all-around improvement. The top speed is faster, the ride is smooth, the battery life is good (if your expectations are reasonable). Some folks are complaining that the battery is undersized - I would tend to agree but it at least kept the weight down. There will be an external battery coming later this year...perhaps a money grab - but for those people that REALLY DO need the extra life you at least have the option. Zero issues with the scooter so far!

I spent quite a bit of time researching scooters for my commute and when the Max G3 was announced I knew that it was the perfect choice. The pre-order and pickup process from Best Buy was easy. The scooter itself is amazing. Very smooth ride with the dual suspension and larger tires. It's fast and I get around 40 miles on a charge riding in norm mode. The app connectivity is amazing and "find my" security is a nice touch. I recommend turning off the park on slope and setting the starting speed to 0mph to allow a seamless ride. Very happy with my purchase.

Smooth ride .. good price speed is good to be honest I got up to 32,34 mph in sport mode that’s fast enough for me anything more then that you might as well get a motorcycle.. but this for a scooter is great for what you need to do with it ..breaks is nice lights is bright .. I like it but I will say to all that ride be safe when you on the streets and enjoy the ride ..

Cool customization, battery life and versatility. The shocks are very helpful when it comes to hitting bumps and potholes, good steering control and a top speed and acceleration can be customized to your preference. I plan on panting my the way I want later so we’ll see how tha turns out.
