Purchased for my kid. Had the animal crossing game for regular DS. Purchased this animal crossing new leaf game for 3DS console. LOVE IT. Kid had so much fun with the old game and says the new game with additional features and 3D effects is beyond expectations. If you like animal crossing - you will like new leaf !!!

Daughter loves all animal crossing games and this one is no different. Not a big fan myself but she is who it was intended for.

Animal Crossing is a game that you could easily play casually and have fun with. It's also a game you can go 100% Hardcore on and wake up at 6:00 AM on a Sunday to buy turnips. It's a simple premise that can get incredibly deep depending on how much you want to get out of the game. Even after paying off your mortgage or doing what most people consider is the main storyline, the game doesn't end. There is always something to do. I played the original one on GameCube back in the early 2000's and was addicted to it. This is much worse (in a good way) because it's mobile and I can take it anywhere! 5/5 - Would fill up the entire Museum again

I already own this game, but I bought it again as a gift for a family member. It's still as fun today as it was 4 years ago. Even better if you visit other towns.

All the main Animal Crossing games are a specific niche. I'd hardly call them actual games; rather they're more like toys. You don't win or lose, you just have stuff you can do and you do it. Definitely not for everyone, but if just filling out collections, decorating a home, doing random tasks, and stuff of that nature sounds appealing then this game is probably a good choice. For players returning to the franchise, there's not much to say other than that it's a proper game in the series. I originally played the Gamecube version and this just feels like that but with more stuff to do.

A welcome addition to the 3DS library, this edition of Animal Crossing combines many features of the GameCube and DS versions into a familiar package. If you're a fan of the series, you won't be disappointed. If you're new to Animal Crossing, this real-time town simulator will provide you with countless hours of relaxing play, as you slowly shape your tiny village. Unlike most simulators, like Sim City or the Sims series, Animal Crossing grows without you. Villagers move in and out without your input, building their houses where they wish, while you're away from the game. Like a bonsai tree, daily pruning and attention to the town's growth-changes will result in a kind of natural beauty you won't find elsewhere. The only thing the game lacks is space. This version's town is smaller than the GameCube version, owing perhaps to many of the shops and buildings like the museum having been moved to their own separate zone, kind of like a "Main Street". Nevertheless, I find myself wishing for a way to extend my town's borders.

I bought this for my niece for Christmas gift as she was also getting a 3DS. She loves it and it's hard for her to put it down. She says its very relaxing.

This game is great! Exactly what you would expect from an Animal Crossing game and some extra features.
