As a huge fan of Lego City Undercover (I got the Wii-u version when it came out about 4 years ago) I was hoping this "prequel" would add more to the story (which it does as you follow Chase as a rookie cop). The game is around 10 hours which feels right with a 3ds game. The problem (which also plagued LCU on wii U) is the extreme load times, the stripped down city, and the constant fog settings making the game look like trash. If you aren't a fan of Lego games this is a total skip.

My 4 year old at the time loved it. But my husband did have to play the game the whole time with him!

LEGO City Undercover is my all time favorite LEGO game to date, so when I saw this on sale I decided to finally buy it. The game plays well on the 3DS with a few compromises that are fine. The draw distance is reduced and character voices are more limited to dialog on screen. You will still hear Chase shout "Woohoo" and other phrases, but the spoken dialog found throughout the Undercover game is missing. The missions are also completely different as this is a prequel that tasks Chase with smaller missions throughout the world. There is still a lot to do in this game and it packs a lot of fun with hours of exploration especially for completionists. I highly recommend this game especially if you can buy it on sale.

This game is one of the best lego games not based on a licensed movie or series. Its kind of GTA style but with tons of lego humor and its signature building and collecting.

Bought this for my 7 year old nephew. He loves it!! Easy to learn and hours of entertainment.

That's what this is: another Lego game. Although, I like this better than a lot of the other series Lego puts out. To me it feels less like solving puzzles and more like a story. Other games like Lego Marvel or Lego Batman are very stop-and-go where the story stops while you swap everyone around and complete puzzles. This is more like GTA for kids in a story mode.

Very similar to GTA without the violence and drug environment.

My grandsons enjoy playing this. It entertains them for awhile

Fun for all ages, easy enough for any child to play.

It's fun don't get me wrong but some level of the game are little confused for kids because they have to read a lot of instructions for each mission.( it's good kids read but like a say some time it's just ridiculous).

Not only was this item on sale that we used it as a bribery tool for my five-year-old to sleep in his bed every night. It's working like a charm and it's also an excellent game. Love Nintendo! But they need to get on the ball by putting out more switch!

My son plays this game for hours and hours. He loves all things Lego and this game is no exception. He says he would recommend it to any Lego fan, young or "old like Daddy". (Face palm)

She has numerous other lego series titles and from her continued interest this one is no different being a hit. She figured out the game quickly and hasn't put it down yet

Great game. The age-group described is probably the best option considering younger son was not able to read the gameplay instruction. Fits right in with other lego games.

This game is like a children's GTA. You can drive around in cars around a city, and exit whenever you want. You do missions for people in the city. Pretty fun portable game.

My son really likes the game especially after seeing the movies. It is comparable in most areas to what he had watched so it makes it a good fit for how he wants to play it.

This game could provide hours of fun. But to get an hour of screen time my kids would need to do chores for 3 days straight. All day, sun up to sun down! 3 days minimum.

We love this game! It's a must for every lego fan. Quirky, lots of quests, and you get paid to smash stuff. It doesn't feel violent or crude, just good clean fun.
