Does what it days
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice smart bulb deal with hub. Set up was a little tricky, but once the hub connects its ok.. the app is easy to use. Maybe not the most fancy or amount of functions, but does what it should.

Not a great experience
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had nothing but issues. Back and forth with Sengled support to no avail. Did everything they suggested (many times exactly) and nothing helped. Dead end. Problems with bulbs and had to reset hub all the time. App kept losing contact with bulbs frequently as well. No matter what I did bulbs would NOT remember last color. I've got 2 of their wi-fi bulbs (no hub required) and they work fine. Boxed them back up and put them in the closet.

Nice Introduction to Smart Lights!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lights work well with Alexa or Google & with the Songled Hub. However, it isn’t integrating with My Smart Things Hub to control all my other devices. Otherwise, good price & product!

Great addition to Smart technology
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lately, we have been getting our hands into smart home technology and these bulbs have been the latest addition. I was really excited to use them. I've seen smart bulbs at my cousin's house but never really thought about getting them until recently. I must say these Sengled smart LED bulbs have been a great addition. Not to forget, they are compatible with Google assistant and Alexa, not with Apple's HomeKit as of now. We have Google home hub at home and I paired these smart bulbs with it. It has 16 Million color output, tunable warm white to daylight (2000K - 6500K) The box came with the following: -3 smart LED bulbs -A hub -Ethernet cable -Charging cable -An adapter What surprised me was that the charging cable has a USB at one end that goes into the adapter but the other end is a round pin that goes into the hub. So that means if you lose or damage the cable, you will have to buy it. You just can't use a universal mini USB cable lying around at home. That's so strange of a company not to design the product to market standard. They are little pricey. If you need only couple of these in the house, then it won't matter much but if you are planning to install them in a large quantity in your house, then the price will make a huge difference. A maximum of 64 bulbs will work with each hub. Set-up was breeze. It literally took me less than 10 minutes to set them up completely. I connected the hub with my router through the ethernet cable and powered it up. Downloaded the Element Home app and let it do the rest. The hub only supports the 2.4 GHz WiFi band by the way. To set up wireless hub, unplug the ethernet cable and wait for 60 seconds to power off the hub. Relocate the hub to desired location, plug in the power cable and there you go. Please note that the initial set up with the ethernet cable has to be done before doing the wireless set up. The app itself is a bit confusing and is unresponsive at times. But when you get a hang of it, it's easy to use. It lets you schedule the time to turn individual bulbs ON or OFF automatically, lets you change the colors of each bulb separately. You can even adjust the brightness and color temperature. My 3 YO son jumps in joy when he sees different colors on the bulbs. That is something new for him too. I can now control the lighting in my house from wherever I am through my phone. The bulbs remember the last settings as well. For example, if you set up red color on one of the bulbs and turned it off from the actual physical switch (not from the app) and then if you turn the switch on, the bulb will turn on as red and won't default back to white. Overall, I am pleased with how these Sengled smart bulbs work. Yes, they have some limitations but nothing in this world is perfect. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for smart bulbs.

3rd set of smart bulbs
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.first set , didn't work out. Couldn't get them to connect to any form of network and stay connected. This was my second smart bulb purchase and so far have been amazing. Pluged it in. Set up in seconds. No fuss with this one. Nice app and easy to control.

hard to connect
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This light is hard to connect. It is bright when you are using just the white but when it is multi color you're using it is not that great.

Cool colors
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The idea of this is great, but the connection isn’t good. The light bulb disconnected and won’t reconnect so now we’re unable to use one. The colors are awesome!!

Easy setup with multiple settings
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lights linked with Alexa are great. There are certain colors that are not the best but I just don’t use them. Just wish I didn’t have to use another app to link these lights with Alexa.

CoolBulbs
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are cool. If you want bright "daylight", you can have that and you can also adjust the colors - red, green, blue. Another cool feature, you can tell Alexa to turn on one bulb at a time, even in the same fixture!

Great feature packed bulbs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I had the Sengled Element Classic bulbs (white only). They were great, but didn't have any colors and the ones that I had were too far to the warm or "Edison" spectrum for my taste. I decided to get these bulbs to add some color to the house for different occasions. For example, when watching movies I set the bulbs to a soft blue and when gaming or watching a football game I set the bulbs to red. Installation - Installation was a breeze. Download the Sengled Home app, then you connect the hub to your router with the included cable. The bulbs have QR codes on them and you just scan them with the app. You can then rename them and place them in a room in the app. I have "couch", "fireplace" and "bedroom". The app allows you to take pictures of your own rooms for easy identification instead of just having a generic bedroom or living room picture. Everyday usage - Connecting and controlling the bulbs using Alexa is simple. Using Alexa I can have complete control of the bulbs. You can tell Alexa to turn on the "couch" light to 50% and the bulb will come on at half brightness. You can also control the colors using Alexa. I have grouped bulbs for easier control. I made the "living room" control both the "couch" and "fireplace" bulbs at once. I have also set up Alexa to respond to the "goodnight" command to turn off all bulbs. Customization - There are virtually infinite colors that you can set the bulbs to. The Sengled Home app has presets for different white levels. Edison, Warm, Neutral, Cool and Daylight, as well as a slider to control the color temperature. Below the white presets in the app is the color selector. You simply press where on the scale you want the color to be. The app allows you to set schedules, however, it only allows three schedules per bulb. Another thing that I have done with the bulbs is download the IFTTT (If This Then That) app. This allows you to have more customization options. I first set an applet command to turn on the lights when I arrived home, which is nice when you get home after dark. I have also set up an applet command for when my Alexa timer goes off to turn the "fireplace" bulb red. That way, if I am in the kitchen and don't hear the timer, I can still see the light turn red. There are some improvements needed. First, it would be nice for the lights to come on as what they were set as last (red at 50% brightness for example), or to have more options for custom presets. Have something like "movie night" and it turns the bulbs blue, or "game day" and the lights turn red. This seems like it would be an easy addition to the app, and perhaps one day they will update the app to include this feature. I have also found that the light that I have labelled "couch" flickers slightly when around 50% brightness in the "cool" color range. It seems to only happen at these parameters. However, it is not noticeable in the room. You can only pick up on it if you are looking directly at the bottom of the lampshade, so it's not a huge issue. It only seems to be this one bulb, and I have not seen anyone else mention an issue like this. It seems that I just have one bulb that isn't quite perfect. I have had a couple instances of the bulbs losing connection. When this has happened, I just went to the light fixture and manually turned the bulbs off and back on and they have reconnected immediately. Everything seems to have stabilized now and it hasn't happened since about a week after installing them. Overall, these are great bulbs and offer savings over the big name brands. You can have up to 64 bulbs on one hub, so you could easily cover an entire house worth of bulbs on one hub. I would recommend these bulbs.
