This is a darn good sound bar. I don't get the full effect of the Atmos but that is more because of my room and the position of the sound bar in the room than than the actual Ambeo. Given that, I still am pretty happy with the sound it produces for movies and even music, even its attempt at ATMOS is my room. I have found audio syncing issues when I plug an Apple TV or Roku plugged into the Ambeo's HDMI port and have my TV plugged into the Ambeo's eARC HDMI. I have much better success connecting all devices to my TV and then having the TV connect to the AMBEO through the TV's eARc HDMI output to Ambeo's eARC HDMI input. I don't think that that's necessarily distinctive to the AMBEO; It looks like it's an issue in general with soundbars?? The only drawback to connecting everything to my TV and then to the Ambeo is I can't get Atmos surround sound on my Apple TV. But, that's because I have an older LED TV that does not have ATMOS throughput through its eARC. A tremendous positive that is not clear in Best Buy's description of this product is that this model does have an analog subwoofer input. It makes this and its larger AMBEO counterpart the only ( I believe only) sound bars that offer third-party analog wired subwoofer connections. That was a big deal for me as I have a nice subwoofer I can connect it to.

Great soundbar! I picked it up because of the Sennheiser name and positive reviews. I definitely was not disappointed. I auditioned the Ambeo subs as well but decided to go with my own Rel T-9i sub instead.
After downloading the Sennheiser app setup was a breeze. The app allows you to perform a room calibration and select various options to fit your sonic preferences.
The sound bar sounds absolutely wonderful.
The Ambeo does a highly credible job with Dolby Atmos and 360 degree sound effects. If you are an audiophile you love the tone, rhythm and timing of this bar. Dialogue is clear and intelligible and the app gives you the option to give dialogue added emphasis. I have the Sonos Arc with sub and rears and I’d be hard pressed to select one over the other. However, If you are trying to limit the number of boxes in your room you won’t lose out with the Sennheiser.
One caveat I’ll make is I have only listened to the Ambeo in a small media room (20x16) setup. I have the Arc system in a family room so I know it can fill a larger space.

The most crystal clear sound from any device I’ve heard . Sounds just like you are in a movie theatre. Tried it without the sub and was real good but definitely sounds exceptional with the subs

This is a good value when under $1k. This was a massive upgrade over our 6.5yr old LG soundbar. Even without a dedicated sub it has a very rich neutral (doesn’t favor one range) sound. Base could be better but it is better than most. I plugged in our Polk sub and it made all the difference. I was hesitant to purchase their wireless version due to the complaints of disconnect. I just wanted it to work without hassle. Other connections (wireless, Bluetooth, etc) are flawless.

Honestly a great soundbar but I wish Sennheiser would release wireless rears to pair with it. You can have up to 4 senheiser subs with it, which is amazing, but no rears really pulls it out of the running when compared to Sonos.

When working it’s the best soundbar but has issues with CEC and connecting devices directly to it.

Main reason for buying this, in addition to the obvious benefits of this bar itself (sleek, build quality, processing of many channels, I could go on) is that I wanted a bar that had a sub preout, which is hard to find today. I paired mine with a 12" REL sub and have been more than impressed with the theater and musical performance, without having to add physical rear speakers to the setup. Media room, maybe not. Living room, 100%.

Amazing depth of sound! We did use an optical cable to improve the quality even further. The speaker can be calibrated to your own room. I love that I can hear the conversations clearly as well. We also purchased the subwoofer for even better sound. Sennheiser did a great job. I hope they expand the system further. Our salesperson, Kaiden, went above and beyond to help us make our decision with solid information and no pressure. Excellent experience.

I initally started out with the Ambeo Plus which was fantastic but for the size of the space it felt like I needed something a bit stronger. I’ve had the Max now for about a week and a half. Sound is incredible and immersive with the Ambeo technology, plus Sennheiser has been solid in my experiences sound wise. My drawbacks are wishing it had the room correction mic built in like the Plus, also a bit more volume around the center channel for dialogue. I did get this on a great deal via price match which is also an add to my rating.

Soundbar vs full size speakers

Everything about this soundbar is high quality as you would expect from Sennheiser. Previously, I had been using full size Polk speakers (left, center, right) for the TV sound. I wanted to try the soundbar for the size and convenience. In the end, the full size speakers simply sound better and for me the sound was more important than the convenience.

Sounds amazing, packs a lot of punch in such a small-ish device. I was between this and the MAX and am very happy I went this route instead. READ UP ON THE MAX - there are a number of issues that don't materialize with this model. You COULD add a sub if you really want super low end, but I feel like this already does a great job without one.

This sound bar and the sub that goes with it is so incredible. It was the best sounding in every aspect compared to all the others on display. The way it makes sounds seem like its all around you is just mind boggling.
You for sure want to purchase the sub to go with it. It just adds to the overall sound quality.

We recently bought an OLED LG 65” TV, Senheiser Amber Soundbar, and other equipment from Best Buy. Although it hasn’t been delivered & installed yet we are very pleased with the purchase. Tyler Curtice (our Best Buy Adviser) was great to work with and answered all our questions & needs. He was extre Knowledgeable and guided us through everything. Can’t wait until we have everything set up so we can watch & listen to the great sound.

For the size and being an actual 7.1.4 soundbar, the tonality/notes are better than any bars I tried - it beats my Sonos Arc that’s in my basement.
Both setups are sound bar only with no additional powered subwoofer or surround speakers.
The only complaint with the Sennheiser Plus is the software and interaction with the Sony and Samsung TVs. Turning on the TV should automatically boot up the soundbar, but doesn’t always work. The workaround is using the option menu on the TV to toggle between the Audio options: External speaker > TV speaker > External speaker. This process will engage the Sennheiser Plus to turn on.

This sound bar was great because I did not want to deal with wireless subs or rear speakers. We have a small media room, so we wired our existing Sub to this bar, and we are very happy. It fills the room with sound much better than my old Yamaha Yas 109.
