Decent Headphones, But Nothing Special.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones to replace my Sony XBB950B1 headphones which broke recently. True, the Sony XB950B1 headphones came with heavy bass while the Sennheiser HD 450BT was design for more accurate sound and less bass. However, the bass and loudness on the Sennheiser HD 450BT's is massively weaker in comparison. The Sennheiser HD 450BT are not a good replacement for my Sony headphones. It is almost a night and day situation. Both headphones have their weaknesses and strengths. The Sennheiser HD 450 BT is more durable and offers noise cancelation. They come with a carrying case and can be folded up for easy transport. My old Sony headphones had none of these features. Comfort of the Sennheiser HD 450BT is tight and can be uncomfortable for long periods of time. The Sony headphones were more comfortable but had a larger profile. At the end of the day, I am rebuying the Sony XB95B1 as my primary pair of headphones and keeping the Sennheiser HD450BT as my secondary pair of headphones. The Sony XB95B1 are not good for workouts or for walking around the house. The Sennheiser HD450BT are much better if you are on the move doing other things while listing to music. So now I have two different types of wireless headphones doing two different jobs for me. The Sennheiser HD 450BT headphones would have been perfect if it were one or two levels louder and had richer bass. Also comfort needs to be improved.

Strongly recommended headphones
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using these headphone a lot over the last couple months and I absolutely love them. I managed to buy these at a bit of a discount. The red accent is just visual, they are the exact same headphones as the HD 450BT so I don't think you should spend any more than 450s for these. Sound quality is great. If you're huge into audio quality than you're probably going to be looking elsewhere anyway. But getting headphones with better sound quality would both be unnoticeable to the vast majority of users, and financially impractical due to the diminishing returns for 'better' headphones as in you're paying more for smaller increases in audio quality. Noise canceling is pretty good. I use it often just to have a more quiet working space. It works best for getting rid of a constant noise like the humming of an appliance. Anecdotal but oddly enough these almost 100% cancel out the sound of my refrigerator while almost everything else I can hear faintly. Iphone App is OK. I hardly use it since I adjusted the audio settings initially. Comfort is pretty good. I have an average sized head and ears. If you have bigger ears the cups might be a bit tight for you. The headphones are also fairly light. They're made of plastic but it feels like a sturdy type of plastic. All functionally is on the right ear. It may take some getting used to what the controls are. Battery life is great. I really only have to charge these like once a week and I use them quite often throughout the day off and on. These headphones collapse and come with a simple tough canvas carrying case. Nothing fancy, they don't really need anything more. Phone calls are a bit weird on these. That's one ear these aren't that great. They repeat your voice into your own ear which I don't really like. Also, the sound of your voice to the person you're talking to makes you sound a bit muffled, this is due to the microphone being back at your ear so it's not picking up your voice as well as it could if it was in front of you. Strongly recommend these headphones.

Sennheiser HD458bt for the price, A-
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.App is meh, phones; love them. Sennheiser HD458bt. compact, lightweight, moderate volume/does not damage eardrums, very clear and precise sound, you can tell that there is a lot going on in these to bring you an extra clear and distortion free sound. extra super perk to me for quick laptop connection is that the aux. cord is made from a very premium/lightweight construct that i swear its like the cord is filled with helium and it floats, its like a silicone cord that is oval shaped, lol. Volume level tops out a little too soon but I'm sure its for sound quality preservation. I would like to see the app have; preset sounds like other companies, babbling brook kinda stuff, lightning storm, white noise, etc. Noise cancelling 1,2,3, etc., The app is basic and not enough; it has a very complex "looking" sound wave thing that does a hearing check for frequencies to set up the eq, and an eq with 3 sliders, nothing more... I think with todays technology we can throw a few more sliders on the thing huh, lol. There are companies out there with a multitude of options like the ones i mentioned above and more all on one app... J@br@. That's the minus to me. thx

Best headphones I have ever owned.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying that I am by no means some kind of audio expert. However, I can tell you that I have certainly spent my share of hard earned dollars over a lifetime on all sorts of headsets and plugs, usually in the $100-$150 range. I was told about these from one of the excellent members of the staff at BestBuy after I had decided to get something decent for my home theater set up. As we walked towards the Magnolia section of the shop my heart began to sink knowing full well that I was gonna be giuded toward something that was amazing but wouldnt be able to justify the cost of. I was partially correct. From the literal first second I tried these on, I was blown away. No exaggeration at all the sound was so good its shocking. But what floored me was the price!! These cans sound better than my $500 surround sound system and far better than anything I've ever owned. Not even close. Synched up seamlessly to my LGC1 and provides full atmos and 7.1 support without any delays or lag. They also worked my XBOX Series X and although they do not include a mic these are an absolute game changer during Halo or COD. Comes with a nice little case and fold away for easy storage. The accompanying app allows you to fine tune your audio as needed and noise canceling works well although not the greatest. If there is one draw back its that they are quite tight around the head. I imagine this is part of the noise canceling capabilities. Overall I am still amazed just about every time I watch something like Dune or Shang Chi with these. Highly recommended.

Good Sound If You Decode The Mystery Buttons
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the Sennheiser HD 450BT Wireless headphones because of a recommendation that Sennheiser makes good quality audio products. I’ve never heard of the company before my research so I can’t speak to their legacy but these headphones are what I consider a mixed bag. As wireless headphones their audio quality is loud and clear which is really all you need in a set of headphones, so that’s great! The noise cancelling capabilities I felt were a little lacking, either on or off I felt like I was not hearing the world outside the cushioned ear pads. Speaking of the ear pads I’m not sure why they picked the narrow shape they did. You can see in my picture that rather than typical full circle pads the HD 450 headset uses narrow ovals, my assumption is that your ears aren’t circles but it was mildly annoying until I got used to it. Just an unusual pressure on my ear top, nothing to lose sleep over and I did eventually get used to it but I think I’d prefer the classic round design. The foam is thick and squishy so if you have smaller to medium size ears you should be fine and may not even know the difference, but my ears are a little large and that’s why I noticed. Another positive I liked was the way the two sides fold in and under the headband for compact storage. The other headphones I’ve owned would just stuff full size into a large bag or sit on my desk but the folding design of the HD 450 is super convenient! The headphones come with a zippered bag that resembled an old electric razor case and I didn’t think they would fit without some work but actually they slide in with room to spare and I was able to keep the instructional pamphlets in the pockets inside the case too. Very impressive carrying case set-up! However the downside to these headphones comes with the middle man of listening to music through them: using the controls to pair and adjust volume. These headphones do not label their switches and buttons! The instruction pamphlet gives you simple drawings to intuit which end of the headphone is which so you can then deduce which switch/button is the one to press for that function being described...however this was SEVERELY lacking in user friendliness! To me this is a deal breaker for me on headphones, I do not want to review a large folded map of instructions to figure out where the features I need are. Perhaps this is another “use it and get used to it”situation but whereas the narrow foam ears are a passive “get over it” the interaction with the buttons is something I shouldn’t have to think about. Overall I think these are good headphones, you’ll enjoy your music at great quality and volume with them but other than the folding storage the design of the Sennheiser HD 450BT headphones is bad. For me the sound quality can’t be enjoyed if I can’t adjust the volume, or even pair my phone with them unless I dig out a wad of instructions. If you’re the kind of person that can learn things without hassle then maybe these are the headphones you’re looking for but otherwise, if you’re like me, these will sit on your desk and you’ll just get a cheap pair of simple wireless headphones instead to save the complications and hassle.

Great headphones!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound quality that the brand is know for. Comfortable to wear for long periods. And no sound bleed unless you have them turned up very very loud and even then it’s minimal. Quality sturdy construction. Bluetooth works flawlessly. And using an audio cord bypasses need for them to be charged (my husband never charges his lol). Battery last a long time when used wirelessly. Charging time is good. Best Buy got the order taken care of quickly and they in perfect condition.

Worth every sale price penny ( $69 ! )
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had purchased the Bose 700 for $259. Great deal and I thought I would just have the go to in over the ear head phones. They were good.. but, I just wasn't that impressed. The highs on them grated on my ears.. They have a raw sound that overall is ok, but didn't work for me. I was going to just stick with them but Best Buy put these Sennheiser HD 458BT's on sale for $69. I had a pair of Sennheiser's years ago and remember the high quality sound they had. I got these and instantly started comparing to the 700's. They both have that wonderful deep bass. They both have high quality sound. After not being able to tell too much difference between the two ( Bose can go a little louder and has more Active noise cancelling features ) , one thing stood out and that was the Bose having that screeching highs on the treble that the Sennheiser didn't have. I like my music pretty much max, so that was the deal breaker. Also, the whole idea that I could barely tell the difference between the two with the sound! When it comes to the Active Noise Cancelling, there is no indication whether it is on or off. After googling it I found out a couple of things. It is automatically on when you turn the headphones on. Also, there is a slight hissing noise when you turn it on ( by pressing the power button once ). Another way to tell is if you are in a room with the central air running, press the power button on and off ( your not turning the headphones on and off.. that you do by holding down the power button for a couple of seconds.. ) and you can really hear the fan noise block out. I didn't buy these for the noise cancelling so I don't know how good it is, but for $69, it's nice that it has it! Oh, and the ear cups seem to fit my ears just right. I don't want to rip these off after just a few minutes like I did with the Bose.

Good headphones, especially when on sale
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On the whole these are excellent for the price, and I like the red highlights, the bluetooth easy connectivity and the USB-C charging port. The sound is decent, though not as good as my Momentum 2. The fit is a bit tight on the ears, which is surprising as I am a small person. The battery life is mediocre however, so took a star off for that.

Worth it.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound is flawless and crisp. Superior to my airpods pro. The noice canceling isn’t the best in loud environments, but i don’t lose my sound quality when i’m vacuuming. I can just vaguely hear it in the background. For tablets, phones and PC the audio is easy to set up. When you need to use the mic, it’s crisp for phones and tablets, but for pc (including laptops), it works but not the best. People can hear you and you have to play with your internal sound settings. Overall, if you want a pair of headsets for your commute, to relax and listen to audio or while you’re working, that +20 hour battery comes in VERY handy! I use these on a daily. Don’t regret the purchase when i don’t want to spend +300 on the superior upgrade.

Good sound and features for the money.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use these headphones to listen to podcasts and music. The bluetooth range is good, I've walked 10 feet away and they were still connected. I think the sound is very good. I've not tried them for phone calls, but it can handle those also. Separate wire for non-bluetooth applications; used that for Roku remote connection. Battery life seems good.

Sennheiser HD 458BT Wireless Headphones
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use these for airline travel and the wireless mode is very good. The noise cancelling feature helps block out the background flight noise. If you need to use the corded mode you will be disappointed as the sound is weak and spotty at times. They were comfortable for me but your mileage may vary. The controls are on the right side ear piece and are easy to use after a little practice. If you download the Sennheiser App on your phone or tablet you can update the software and make adjustments to bass and treble which I found useful.

They're wireless, so no tangles. The black and red design looks sleek. The noise cancelling is a game-changer. I can focus on my music without any distractions. They fit comfortably, even during long listening sessions. Plus, the battery life is impressive. Best Headset I have ever owned
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This wireless headset is the best I have ever owned. The sound clarity is fantastic and it can get very loud. The headset is also very comfortable as I wore it 8 hours a day at work. The sale really made me buy it as I probably would have not spent hundreds of dollars to try Sennheiser, but I am very glad I made this purchase. Had I known the sale was only for the day I would have purchased 3 more as I wanted my whole family to own these as they are very good quality.

Worth it when on sale
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good headphones for the price - when they're on sale. Sound and noise cancelling are both good, and I like how they can be folded. The time is balanced and the bass is clear. The app keeps adjust the tone so the bass and mid-range are not muddy-sounding They are rather bulky, though. And while I like them, I'm not sure they're appreciably better than other headphones in the same price range. So, I think they're worth the purchase when they're on sale, but not at their regular price.

Very basic
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headphones are ooookay. I feel Like the sound is lower than I’m used to even at the highest volume. The equalizer app helps but it’s annoying to constantly have to adjust the levels to different types of music. Also i would Not recommend these for djing. The bass started to sound super fuzzy when plugged into a mixer and i was A little nervous the headphones were gonna blow out during my set. These are cool for the every day casual headphones User but for people looking to do more, i would Recommend that you dish out the extra cash for a pair of pro sennheisers.
