I had high hopes as do many others for these headphones. Some reviews I had read said that they arrived defective, so did mine. The right ear didn't work while hooked up to Bluetooth. It seemed to work fine when plugged into the 1/8in jack.

Power button only works while USB-C charging cable is plugged in. A fully charged headset, while turned off, drains the battery in a few days. Clamping force is extremely tight, like these were made for children.

Product arrived in good condition, well packed. However these are not "over the ear" headphones. The cups are narrow making these "on the ear" headphones. Fit is very tight and uncomfortable. This is especially true when wearing hearing aids. Product is being returned, unused.

I bought this for use at the office, I'm impressed with the fact that you can use it while on charge. Battery life could be improved but not an issue. I'm not satisfied with the noise canceling though. It causes discomfort when switched on, so I mostly use it without the NC. The headset is ergonomic and doesn't cause issues with long usage.

The Sennheiser 450BT are a pretty good over the head noise canceling headset. The sound is crisp and clear and set-up is simple. The Sennheiser app allows you adjust the audio settings and get the desired sound that fits best for your music tastes. It also has easy controls built onto the side that let you control you music without needing to pull out you device, as well as a button to wake up your voice assistant programs (like Google/Bixby/Siri). It includes a pretty simple zip-up carry bag, a charging USB-C cable, and an audio cable to connect through 3.5mm audio jacks. The noise canceling is good and drowns out most external sound so that you aren't disrupted. The charge time is quick and gets you hours of use. With that being said there are a few things I took issue with this headset. The app has no preset EQ options and just leaves it up to you to adjust it. This might be annoying for those that don't really know what to do when adjusting EQs and start off by picking from some available presets. The bass for this headset is pretty underwhelming, especially when comparing them to my Jabra Elite 75Ts. Even when set at the highest bass level in EQ it wasnt enough for me. If your someone that is looking for a headpounding bass sound experience then you won't really like it, but if you want more of a clear and smooth sound then you'll like it. The audio cable provided isn't a simple (Male to Female) 3.5mm connect, its actually a one end 3.5mm and the other end is far smaller. The smaller end goes into the headset while the 3.5mm ends goes into your device. This is a problem because that means if for whatever reason you need to replace that cord you'll have to go through Sennheiser as oppsed to any other (Male to Female) 3.5mm which you could buy at any store or online. Lastly the headset has no way of letting you know Noise Canceling is on, there is a button to cut it on or off but you won't hear any notification or voice letting you know if its on or off, its a pretty dumb design flaw when just about all headsets with this feature have implemented some sort of notification. Overall the Sennheiser HD 450BT are a good mid-tier headset and should be an option for those wanting a noise canceling headset without going into the higher end price ranges, which it currently is discounted from its initial price range of $200. I'm using them during my lunch breaks at work and when I'm home studying and they've been pretty good so far. I would recommend them for more casual music listeners, not audiophiles, or anyone that listens to music when they work/study and don't want to be distracted by outside noise.

How disappointing. Their reputation is supposed to be high quality but these headphones sound like garbage. Very tinny and all treble. Even using the EQ on their app doesn't help. What a waste of money

First of all, I received the Sennheiser 450 BT headphones as part of the Best Buy Tech insider network program in exchange for my honest opinion of the product. At first glance the 450 BT doesn't really stand out from other headphones. The pair I received is all black, fairly large with large comfortable ear cushions and all of the controls on the bottom of the right ear pad. On that side you have a power/pairing/Active Noise Cancellation button, wired headphone jack, volume toggle and a dedicated button to activate google assistant or siri and a play/FF/Replay/phone answering, multi-purpose button. Controls are well placed and easy to remember although the FF and replay button toggle opposite from what I would expect. Pairing was easy and quick to my Samsung Note 10 plus. Volume on these headphones doesn't seem to be as loud as a couple of other BT headphones I use on a regular basis, but is plenty loud enough to hear over noises such as lawn mowers and tractors, maybe because of the very good active noise cancellation feature and a soft ear-pad the really cradles my ears. If you are a heavy bass lover, these particular headphones may not suite you as well as some others, but these do have a balanced sound that makes them enjoyable to use with most music types. The battery seems to last forever. In fact, in the days I have been wearing these headphones, I have not charged the battery back up. I believe these have a 30 hour advertised battery life and they might just come close to that. Overall, these are very good headphones for the money. Not as loud as some and not as much bass as I would like, but overall a very well balanced sound with great battery life and fairly easy controls that would suite just about anybody looking for nice headphones.
