These sound great but beware the clamp...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ended up returning these because I could not get them to be comfortable enough for longer than a 45 minute to 1 hours session. The clamp force and my glasses on my big noggin don't make for a good fit. So if you have a big head, maybe look at something else. That being said, these sound really good. Some of the best headphones I've ever heard. These are flat, like flat flat. The soundstage and imaging are on point, they got some sparkle in the highs and the mids are classic Sennheiser but not quite as forward as the HD58X and the like. The bass is pretty light in these and it doesn't respond well to bass tuning but these are still really good headphones.

Great headphones within its price range!
|Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not often that I put on headphones and it sounds amazing right off the bat. It usually takes time for me to break in new headphones but I was amazed to see that everything sounded so clear and just simply amazing when using these headphones. Amongst my 4 headphones in my current collection, this definitely would become a favorite of mine to use often. Clamping is a little tight at first but gets better overtime with use, the headphones started getting more comfortable within the second day of using these. Would definitely recommend picking this up ASAP!

The best headphone at this price point.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Words can't really do this headphone justice. It's the definition of balance. The only thing lacking from it is build quality; it has a slightly cheap plastic feeling to it. Aside from that- it checks every mark. To me, comfort and audio are the most important aspects of a headphone. The sound is very balanced, and if you're worried about it not having enough bass then don't be; it's not lacking by any means. They have some solid punch to them. Not as much as, perhaps, the Momentum 3, but the Momentum sounds a bit more compressed by comparison. My only issue is that they sounded a bit quiet out of the box. I had it plugged into the front panel IO of my computer; and it was getting only to about 80% of where I wanted it to go. I was going to begin messing with EQ settings; but when I plugged the headphones into the back of my El Gato Wave 3 they suddenly sounded much louder and more present. I think perhaps my microphone is delivering more power to it or running it through a different sound card or something. (I'm not sure exactly what fixed it, just that it was fixed). Being given the right amount of power to do its job, these headphones will present to you a very balanced and quality audio experience. I am going to also be purchasing the Skullcandy Crusher Evo to complement these.

I'm a music snob now?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never purchased a pair of "audiophile" headphones before; I've only had Beats, Bose, various "high-end" gaming headsets, but all of those pale in comparison to these. I've never experienced music like I am with the HD560s, especially now that I have paired these with the Audio-Quest Dragon-Fly Red USB DAC. I subscribed to Tidal music and am listening to music in lossless format which has made me appreciate songs that I never thought twice about listening to. These headphones will allow you to pry into the world of music creation and determine whether or not songs were actually mixed and mastered well. Songs I once loved I can no longer listen to with these because I can actually hear how badly they were made. The opposite of that is also true, where there are tracks that I never really cared for but these headphones have given me an appreciation for just how well they were done. I can't believe how amazing music sounds now. I can finally understand why people would consider themselves to be audiophiles. I haven't listened to music this frequently since I was in college, and that was nearly a decade ago. It is like seeing for the first time, a breathtaking experience that I am so happy to be able to have. Buy a headphone amp, buy these headphones, and listen to music in a lossless quality format. It will change your appreciation for music - I guarantee it. Headphones this inexpensive shouldn't sound this good. They are crystal clear. They are comfortable. They are INCREDIBLE.

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pricey but worth it. The audio, comfort and clarity is top notch but Sennheiser is known for this. The only real complaint, but I knew this, being not an anc headphones, there is more outside sound than expected. Thinking over the ears would help reduce that, but loud environment will cause a disturbance. Maybe if it's my head, but I think if I had a better seal, I might hear as much exterior noise. All in all, great headphones

The best budget entry level audiophile headset
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a headset to replace my JVC HARX700 (costs only $40). I have been using it for gaming, music, and videos for 9 years, and still blows away the newest $100 surround sound gaming headsets on the market. I would say the HD560s is the open ear version of the JVC HARX700 but with way better clarity and imaging. The soundstage is just the best I have heard especially using spatial audio or SBX Surround vs all the virtual surround headsets I have heard. Even having all the effects off just brings a clean flat eq. The impedance is 120ohms, but the volume on my Surface Pro 8 at level 20 is a good sound level that doesn't leak much on the outside at night. At level 50 the sound is really loud, but still clear. You might need an amp and DAC for devices that can't handle it. Of course, it's an open headset so you can hear everything so if you are in a noisy environment, I do not recommend getting these. If you are like me, you can get a closed and open headset. If you get a closed make sure it's tuned flat eq so the sound is more natural, and then you can adjust it the way you like. Bass is not overpowering and it's clean to the point that you can feel the punch which I like. The mids are decent while the highs are sharp and clear. But it does beat out $200 virtual surround headsets imo. You can hear where the footsteps are coming from in Halo Infinite. You can't go wrong with budget headphone like these

Great headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Sennheiser open air headphones are fantastic. They fit very comfortably and sound crisp with excellent highs and deep bass. The open air design works well and allows one to hear both ambient room sounds as well as headphone audio cleanly. Great headphones

Excellent neutral sound
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Impressive and balanced sound, especially in the mid and high ranges. Cymbals, chimes, and other high-pitched sounds sparkle wonderfully without being harsh. As is common with open backed headphones, the bass is slightly quieter than in other designs and could use an equalizer to bump it up a touch. The sound stage and overall sound quality more than makes up for this though. Comfort is good overall, although people with a wider head may want a headphone stand that keeps the band stretched to help reduce the clamping force.

Amazing studio headphones for the price
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many people, I’ve ended up with a lot of headphones. For pure listening in a quiet environment, music or videos, the HD 560S is easily my go-to set. First, the build. Yes, they’re made of plastic and, no, they don’t fold for storage or travel. Still the plastic makes them lightweight and, while not luxurious, they do not feel cheap in any way. They come with a long cable. Like, really long. Like, long enough to trip over when you move. I pulled out just what I needed and left the rest wrapped up, but someday I’ll probably have to get a shorter replacement. And that takes us to the sound. This is the reason the 560S was made. The sound is simply remarkable, every sound, every note, is heard with clarity and precision. This includes the music you were supposed to hear as well as the sound of a bow hitting a muted string or someone in the studio covering a cough. The open air design gives them a very wide soundstage. It doesn’t sound so much like you’re listening to a recording as it does like you’re surrounded by instruments. The effect when watching movies can be startling, as that car that pass3 doesn’t just move from left to right, it seems headed right out of the room. This would be the place to mention that if you like headphones that color the sound, like Bose or Beats or most any consumer model, then you’ll probably hate these. They’re not designed to give you a specific listening experience, but to bring out what was recorded with complete and uncompromising accuracy.

Bare minimum for excellent sound
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to think that there were plenty of mainstream headphones that were good enough for me, mainly sticking to Sony and a couple other brands since I used to be a bass head (No, I never owned Beats, huge waste of money) But now I have seen just what I'm actually supposed to be hearing and these headphones helped me out a lot. Keep in mind that I have owned other open back headphones before this, the Philips SHP9500 and 9600, Koss KPH30i and Grado SR80e. But these are the first pro-ish headphones I have had and they are worth every scent of their $200, in fact I would say that you're getting these for a steal. However, the first complaint that I have is that there is only one cable in the box, and it's an incredibly long and coiled cable. Now, I understand that these are meant to be run off an amp or desktop hardware, but the very least they can do is include a shorter cable. Out of the box, the clamp pressure is high, not so much that it's unbearable but enough to give me a headache after 20 minutes. I suggest stretching these out with a stack of books. Yes, they are made of plastic, but it's a high quality plastic that is perfectly acceptable. What I especially love is the color scheme, full matte black. The sound signature is the most interesting part about this headphone - completely flat with slight emphasis on the treble. Now some mainstream listeners would not like this, but if you find a song that has bass mixed into the track, you can still hear it. However these headphones are meant more for different types of music, mainly instrumental or lighter music. Don't get me wrong, Pop, Rap and House music will sound great there, but these headphones focus on the mids and highs and leave the bass a bit behind. In fact it could even be argued that these headphones can be used to mix and monitor music and audio. So for me, as long as you listen at a desk or have a portable amp dac, these are highly enjoyable headphones for those that want something that isn't mainstream and can provide a very different experience with the music you're already familiar with.

Open Box "Win"
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this pair on my wish list for a few months and was waiting for a sale but ended up with an opportunity to snag an open box "excellent" online. Not gonna lie, I was waiting and hoping for an open box deal to pop up and would check regularly. Let me start with I knew the risk with open box headphones, I'm sure you guys have read the same stories I have, but the price was way too good to pass up so I took the chance. The box was a little beat up but the headset itself was actually like new, I was pleasantly surprised. Not really any indication that the headphones were used at all. It was one of those times when you open the box and can't believe that it looks so good, so you're just hoping it actually produces sound when you plug them in lol. The headset itself is incredible, there's plenty of reviews out there. This review is to show people who are skeptical of open box deals, it's simply worth it for the chance to get something like new for 1/4 its retail price. If you get a dud, just return it. In my case I got extremely lucky, just be patient and do your research.

simply the best for gaming PERIOD!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought these to compare to my acrtis wirelss pro headset. this headset is 100% better in every aspect. i can hear details much more clearer and its much more obvious than the arctis are. they also get much much louder as well. it is very easy to pick out certain sounds as these separate everything the best ive ever heard. the arctis seem everything is much more smashed together. footsteps are much easier to pick out. in escape from tarkov for example. i can hear the leaves on trees and bushes in the wind. the arctis is not anywhere near as clear or obvious when this happens. you cant even hear them on the arctis. when listening to music my god there is no comparison. the sennheisers are far superior by far. i now understand why everyone says these are amazing. they are def the best by far hands down. ive tried many headsets as well btw. these are the superior option hands down. buy them and try them you wont be disappointed i guarantee it. another nice thing is they are ultra light and extremely comfortable. the quality seems very high on these even though they are made of plastic. it is def a very durable plastic though you can simply tell. i love them and will buy another set if mine fail w no hesitation. especially considering these are 100+ dollars cheaper than other headsets.

One year later
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After over a year of use, I still absolutely love these headphones. They can feel a little warm from time to time, but the comfort is still enough to wear them for an extended period of time. Sound quality is great compared to most closed back headphones I’ve used before.

Great Sound and Comfort
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to purchase a pair of high quality wired headphones for my mixer/gaming station, but I was skeptical about spending several hundred for the super hi-fi headphones like Sony or Senheiser makes. I came across these entry level headphones on sale, and decided to give them a try. I was initially a little disappointed that they felt a little cheap - with plastic parts and felt ear cups. However, once I started listening to music or playing games with these, I was immediately impressed. The sound feels like it comes from all around you, and there is a nice balance of bass (maybe not the most for some people who like it really heavy) that blends really well with the rest of the music. They were also great for gaming and let me hear footsteps and sounds that I didn't hear with even my other Bose headphones. After gaming and listening for several hours, I was surprised at how I almost forgot I was wearing them. The cheap feel that I initially thought, turned into extreme comfort over extended periods. The felt-like ear cups also didn't get hot and the headband did not dig into my head like some other headphones. It's obvious that the plastic material was a decision based on weight and comfort, and is in fact quite durable. They are not built to be sound cancelling, nor do they block all outside sound, but this adds to the comfort and longevity for use - I find that noise cancelling makes me sick and I don't like walking away from listening to headphones with my ears ringing from headphones that don't have a balance between outside/inside sounds. Overall, I Highly recommend these based on the overall sound quality and comfort. My only drawback is that there is not a replaceable/detachable cord.
