Senheiser Momentum 2
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very very good purchase. I've purchased quite a few sets of earbuds. From Apple Airpods, Sony 1000XM3 to Bose Sound Sports, and these are the clean cut winner. They have a very good sound stage, rich tone in the mid and high frequency with an equally rich and full bass/low frequency. You hear everything in the music including the little nuances without overexposure. Very neat compact case. Not a wireless charging case, but that is no where near a deal breaker with what you get in sound quality, and that to me is what seals the deal!

Not very good in the noise canceling department
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These were more comfortable than the Sonys and also more comfortable than the Bose QC earbuds, but they couldn't hold a candle to either of those when it came to noise canceling. Couple that with a box that is bigger than the Sony and Sennheiser has some work to do. They did feel secure in the ears and the controls were the best of the three, but the other drawback was the setup where the right ear was the primary and the left earbud did not work on it's own without the right. Another area that Sennheiser could improve on. They were also the most expensive pair I tested.

Wish they were louder
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound quality is great but could be louder. A little more volume would have gotten these 5 stars. Otherwise build quality is good but the ear tips could be better. I’m using comply foam tips with them now and they’re much improved

The best I’ve tried
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve tried many of these types of earbuds such as the Bose and Sony wf1000 xm3. The others mentioned here aren’t bad and sound good, especially the Sony’s, but I could never get them to stay in my ears or be comfortable. The Sennheiser’s made an instant good fit and have extremely good and clear sound quality. Base extension could be a little better but you’d be losing lots of clarity in expense, especially being such tiny drivers. Phone calls sound good and the microphone on them is one of the best on these types of earbuds I’ve had. The calls do tend to like dropping to one earbud sometimes (right) but it could just be my pair, it’s not really an issue that bothers me. I got these for sound quality in a tiny package on the go for when I don’t want to lug my headphones around, and these get the job done. Lastly, the noise canceling works great. It’s not going to be dead silence but when you have a good seal with the music going the majority of the noise is removed. Build quality appears top notch. If you’re looking for wireless earbuds too these are the ones I recommend. Everyone’s ears are shaped differently and hears music differently so don’t be afraid to experiment with different types until you find the ones that feel and sound good to you.

Still a great buy now that the price is lower
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These were my go to buds for concert-level sound until I replaced them with the Momentum 3s. Excellent NC and Ambient sound mode, they just don't get loud enough for my taste, thus I upgraded to the Sen Mo 3s as they are noticeably louder. They give me the volume headroom I need if the video I'm watching or track I'm listening to have low volume playback.

Love these, but...
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved these up until they started letting out a horrid screeching sound. Ear drum piercing painful screeching sound. I’ve had them for about 5 months. Started doing it a few days ago. I was hoping it was just a one time thing, that was definitely proven wrong. For the price, this should never happen. It’s actually painful. Will be getting a new pair. Hopefully the next doesn’t have this issue because I love these. I’ve had airpods, pros and 2nd gen. Soundcore liberty 2 Pro, Sony WF-1000XM3, power beats pros and none of them worked for me. My ears would start to hurt and I’d have to take them out. Never had that issue with these. They sound the best BY FAR out of all of the true wireless buds I’ve owned. amazing up until this.

Outstanding
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best sound quality of any truly wireless earbuds period. Blows my Beats Pro wireless away (btw the Beats sound really good). Customizable EQ with Sennheiser app is okay. Noise cancellation better than AirPods Pro and they stay in your ear. The touch controls on the buds can be finicky. Overall, if you want the best sound, really good noise cancellation and a top notch ear bud, these Sennheisers are worth every penny. Better than Bose QC30s, AirPods Pro and Beats Wireless Pro. Not even close.

Good wireless headphones, bad app
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headphones are pretty good, and if a couple things were changed they’d be outstanding. Overall, as the sound quality is very good, the packaging is great, the headphones look sleek, and overall the package is enticing. However, the biggest drawback to these headphones right now is the app that you need to use to fully control the headphones. Starting out, the overall package oozes quality and the charging case works beautifully. Battery life is exactly what was expected after my week of use, netting about 26 hours worth of listening over that time; individual charges last approximately six hours or so, which I find good. Moving on, the build quality seems good and the metal in certain areas give it a premium look. Plus, the buds don’t really protrude out from your ear. I’ve had a hard time with touch controls on wireless headphones in the past, so this was good and a welcome addition. They weren’t any accidental touches unless I pulled the headphones out, and overall responsiveness was good. I've also taken these on three runs so far, and they’ve never fallen out and the comfort quality is pretty good for roughly 4 hour sessions. Anything longer than that and my ears did start to hurt a little bit, but that also could be a product of not having the other silicone ear selection choices come in my Momentum 2 packaging. In terms of sound, you’re probably going to pick these up and feel like the quality is great from a small wireless earbud. This is what you should expect from Sennheiser, and the Momentum 2 do not disappoint. The only disappointing thing is tweaking the equalizer, which can only be done through the Smart Control app, which is slow and sometimes non-responsive. Also, as far as I’m concerned, there aren’t any additional presets to choose from, which is a bit of a letdown. Getting into the app, this is the biggest drawback and hardest reason why it might be challenging to recommend these headphones. Currently, the Smart Control app seems like a mess, with certain selections like transparent audio turning off and turning back on randomly, equalizer being non-responsive, etc. You need it to use the headphones to the full potential, so some fixes would be nice. Overall, the sound is clear, the bass pretty good and the only weakness to me of these headphones are the mid range due to the bass being a tad heavy and muddled when you first turn them on at the default preset settings. Otherwise, there’s a rich almost but not too warm sound to these buds. I never had any issues with connectivity and they always stayed paired to my phone turning him on and off was a breeze and I never had to reconnect them during my time so far. The only drawback to me is using the app interface and I hope that Sennheiser devotes a little bit more time and effort into smoothing out that experience for future headphones.

Amazing!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: - Excellent sound quality - Customizable touch controls - Customizable EQ - ANC works very well - 4 included eartips to find comfortable seal - Long battery life - Small, light-weight charging case - USB-C charging CONS: - Included charging cable is really short - Switching between paired devices could be easier -- SET UP -- Setting up the Momentum 2 is as straight-forward as any other Bluetooth device: you get the Momentum 2 into pairing mode (by placing a finger on each bud for about 3 seconds until you hear "pairing"), open the Bluetooth settings on your device (Android, iOS, MacOS, Windows, or Linux) and find the Momentum 2, select the Momentum 2, and you're done! For mobile phones, regardless of if you're using Android or iOS, I would HIGHLY recommend that you download the Sennheiser Smart Control app. The app is how you can customize your earbuds and keep the firmware updated (there was a firmware update immediately after I first set up my Momentum 2). With the Smart Control app, you can really make the Momentum 2 yours. You can adjust the EQ to your liking, you can change what different taps on each earbud does with the touch control customization, and toggle if you want audio to pause if you remove an earbud. -- AUDIO QUALITY -- The audio quality is going to be greatly impacted based on if you can get a good seal with the eartips or not, thankfully Sennheiser includes four different sizes in the box (XS, S, M, and L). Out of the box they are installed with the medium tips, which work very well for me, but I would go through a couple sizes to find your perfect seal. I have always been a huge fan of Sennheiser products for their build and audio quality, and the Momentum 2 are no exception. I knew that I would enjoy the audio quality, but I was not expecting to like it this much. While Sennheiser claims that they improved the design of the Momentum 2 to allow you listen for longer periods of time comfortably, I was still expecting to only really use them for shorter listening (less than an hour or so) while defaulting to my over-ear headphones for longer listening. This is not the case. While the Momentum 2 are not as comfortable as over-ear headphones for multiple hours, the audio and ANC quality is just too good to give up! I like to listen to a mix of classical, metal, electro house, and the Momentum 2 hold up very well (mostly thanks to the customizable EQ). While I think the bass is quite decent for wireless earbuds, I could understand if someone would want more out of them. -- DAILY USE -- The Momentum 2 have completely replaced my previous over-ear headphones that I normally keep in my backpack. I normally keep them paired to my phone, but I will also use them with my laptop or tablet, depending on what I need to do. This actually brings me to one of my biggest issues with the Momentum 2: switching between devices. If I want to switch from being paired with my phone to my laptop, I need to manually disconnect the Momentum 2 from my phone Bluetooth settings before I can connect them to my laptop. With my previous headphones, I could just select "connect" on the device I want to switch to. Battery life is great on the Momentum 2 and I can't complain. Sennheiser claims that you can get up to 7 hours of battery life on the earbuds, plus an additional 28 hours through recharging the buds in the case. This will vary depending on how you're using them (especially if you're using ANC). While I think the Momentum 2 are quite possibly the most comfortable in-ear earbuds I've ever used, I still can't use them for more than 4 hours at a time, plus every time I'm done using the earbuds, they go back into their charging case. Speaking of the charging case, I am so happy that Sennheiser went with USB-C charging. It is just one less cable I need to carry with me, which is good since the included cable for the case is REALLY short. I'm guessing this is more for people who want to charge their case using laptop? I just use the same cable+charger for my Android phone to make things easy. Charging the earbuds and case is really fast too, so if you do manage to drain the batteries in the earbuds AND the case, you won't have to wait very long to listen to more music. -- BOTTOMLINE -- I love the Momentum 2! Sure, they're not perfect (I REALLY wish that it was easier to switch between devices), but the audio quality is so good that those minor issues are worth living with.

Good, but Not Perfect
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great headphones with awesome sound and great noise cancellation (way better than my AirPods or my Bose on ears)!! The main annoying thing is these weren’t really made to let you use 1 at a time. I often listen with just one earbud in & enjoy the flexibility of being able to charge one while using the other. With these, the app won’t even recognize that they’re on until you pull out both. This wouldn’t be a big deal, except they can only pair to one device at a time. So if I’m watching videos on my computer and get a phone call, I need to manually switch the Bluetooth connection to keep using them. This can be done through the app or by long-pressing the headphones to go into pairing mode. The app will not recognize the headphones unless you have both out & turned on. Same goes for trying to turn on pairing mode: it requires both. So if I left the case in another room I need to go get it just to use the headphones. The other annoyance is that the mic is only on one (I think the R) earbud, so if for example I’m walking with just the L bud in and the R in its case my backpack, I still have to dig out the case and switch earbuds to take a call. Outside of these issues, the headphones were great though. Of note, they did stop charging 3 months in. That would be a dealbreaker, but Sennheiser has a great warranty program. I just filled out the online warranty form, submitted a screenshot of my Best Buy receipt, & received a label to send them to Sennheiser for replacement/repair.

Very good wireless earphones

Incredible Headphones
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been through dozens of in ear headphones and the Sennheiser True Wireless 2 are the best I've ever experienced. The ANC is fantastic and the sound quality is beyond exceptional. It blows nearly any other Bluetooth IEM out of the water including the AirPods Pro. Battery life is massively improved since the last generation. I'm extremely happy with this product.

Good product
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried those headphones and I have loved them, they have good sound quality, they have a very good app that allows you to customize the sound and other functions of the headphones, the headphones have a decent autonomy of 7 hours and the case has 21 hours more, the only thing that needs to be improved is in the call microphones and adding the wireless charging function, but in everything else it is a good product.

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great all around earbuds but the right earbud just failed and works sporadically. These are the Toyota Camry of earbuds they don’t do anything great but they everything pretty good. i purchased these , Sony 1000m3 ( crap and poor / non existent customer service) , Bose QC’s , and Bowers/Wilkins P17. Bose have best noise canceling and battery life and my most used, Bowers send best but battery life is poor and noise canceling nonexistent. these up until earbud failure are second best but suspect on their reliability.

Awesome earbuds
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love these earbuds, except for two things described later. They are easy to use and comfortable. The sound is great. I like being able to ask Google something while listening to music. All the functionality works as expected as long as I don't do anything. However, I like to exercise. Pushing the pause button doesn't usually work if I have been exercising or even walking for a few minutes. I have to pause it with my phone. Also, when I take them out of my ears, I let them rest and get totally dry before putting in case. They keep draining battery until they are in the case. That could be better. However, I love these and gave always had good luck with Sennheiser.

Great quality slim and long lasting battery life.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality earbuds. Low slim profile and not make you look like frankeinstein. Quality sound and good noise cancelling options. Got a good equalizer as well. Battery is really good as well. I just wish they have good grips when you handle them. Sometimes they slip your fingers when your handling them which cause them to fall on the ground. Other than that I'd decided to choose these over the Bose.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really comfortable, great sound quality, and sleek appearance. Great Sound, Features, and a Few Quirks
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sennheiser Momemtum TW 2's provide excellent sound, good fit, long battery life, and a nice range of functionality. There are a couple of minor quirks that make them less than perfect, but more on that later. I'm writing this after using them for an hour and a half on a bike trainer where they performed admirably and I definitely proved them to be sweatproof! The sound quality is absolutely stellar, rivaling over the ear headphones. Using the flat setting on the equalizer, I listened to a variety of music (rock, classical, jazz) and some video tracks. The bass was present and clear without being thumpy or muddy, kind of the bane of earbuds. The sonic clarity is excellent, midrange and treble are clean anc crisp. I could pick out individual instruments in all kinds of music, they never ran together. Sennheiser also seems to have solved the 'sync' problem common in wireless earbuds, where one earpiece seems slightly behind the other; I couldn't detect any trace of it. Setup was easy, but definitely do it in the order Sennheiser describes, pair first with your phone or other device, then connect to the app. I installed the app (Android, btw) and connected the TW2's to it before pairing with my phone. That seems to have caused problems with the bluetooth profile on the phone, preventing it from recognizing an audio playback device. Fortunately, 'forgetting' the TW2's in the app and starting over in the recommended order fixed everything. NOTE: The app works on ChromeOS as well as an Android device, which makes it very convenient. Battery life seems to be pretty close to the specified 7 hrs - I was able to get through the day, including a workout session, a movie, and some chat time without a problem. The case has recharged the earbuds twice now without being plugged in, so I don't doubt the claimed four charges. I did try the 'short charge' (10 min charge for 1.5 hrs play time) and it seems to work. Spend the time to try out the included array of earpads; the seal makes a big difference both in comfort and sound quality. Seating the earbuds is easy, you kind of give them a quarter turn twisting them into your ears. They seem to fit securely through walking and cycling and didn't seem to pop out like some others have. The touch controls, once you get used to them, work really well, much better than physical buttons. Not having to fumble around for some tiny little button, especially during a workout, is a real boon. The large touch surface is easy to use and the functions are user configurable. The app is pretty good and provides a plethora of configuration options. It uses a relatively new bluetooth innovation to remain connected even while the earbuds are connected to another device. Which brings me to the annoying quirks and one serious missing feature of the TW2's. The equalizer is a bit funky to use and can only be adjusted and stored in the app, although the current settings are stored in the earbuds. There is no way to switch equalizer settings (eg., rock to jazz) on the earbuds. The one missing feature, which will hopefully be added in an update, is to support switching between multiple connections on the earbud. Bluetooth now allows audio devices to keep multiple connections alive and switch between them. The TW2's support this and can be connected to, for example, a laptop and a phone at the same time. But the only way to 'switch' between the connections (say, to answer the phone) is to bring up the app and switch in the app! Sennheiser, please make one of the 'soft control' options the ability to rotate through connections! In spite of the one deficiency, I'm really happy with the TW2's and highly recommend them to anyone looking for headphone quality sound in a earbud package.
