Very great sounding buds. My only complaint is I wish they got a little louder. But the quality is great.

I am an audiophile on a budget like many others. While I love high quality sound, I don’t want to over spend. And with the new momentum TW3’s I feel that these are the best sounding earbuds for a very affordable price. Before these I was daily using my Bose QC in ear headphones and I was happy and thought they sounded great. But I was wrong. Sennheiser focuses more-so on the audio quality rather than noise canceling. But noise canceling is very good on these as well. So long as you have them perfectly fitted into your ears.
Sound makes you feel as if you are using over ear headphones if you can imagine. But with out taking up so much space. I can now hear the separation from certain instruments, vocals and added sounds to each track. Hard to explain on a review. But the soundstage is beautiful and wide for the size. Never harsh on my ears. I prefer rich vocals over highs and lows. And these hit that goal easily. Bass is solid. Not ear blowing or underwhelming. Although you can select a bass boost function if you like. It’s too much for me. I leave the EQ set to flat(default). Its tuned perfectly to my taste already. So if you are into hifi sound and nicely designed earbuds with a small footprint. I’d say give these a try.
Design is a very nice cloth like material which I like. But I might get them Dirty as I will use them for the gym about 4-5 days a week and work as well. But I opted for the black variety. So I should be good. The case is Qi wireless charging or type C if you prefer one or the other. Small case but great battery life. Charged once and still going after about 3-4 days of heavy use!
Touch controls work great but might be a tad bit sensitive. Not a big deal for me. And you have the ability to customize the touch settings on each earbud. Great feature and easy to do via the sennheiser smart control app. Please update once you open. May take up to 21 min.
These are splash resistant rated at an ipx4. So for gym goers who sweat. You will be fine. Just don’t drop into a water cup or the like. I sweat a lot and these will hold up.
I don’t do voice calls hardly ever. But I did test them out by calling my wife while at the gym and they sound fine and she said she could hear me clearly.
In simple terms I love these as far as sound quality, noise canceling and design. But there are a few things that I noticed where kinda bothersome.
1st-these have been having trouble connecting to my iPhones Bluetooth. Or at least they connected and then weren’t connected. It may be a software issue. I actually think it’s a conflict with the phone’s Bluetooth chip and sennheisers own app. But I’m not sure. I am sure that sennheiser will get this sorted out as these are new so I understand completely. It’s not a big deal just expect to maybe have that issue.
2nd. Is that while the fit of these is great. It might take you a min to get there. Or maybe my ears are odd shaped. Lol. But once in the noise gets blocked and and sound is amazing. You can change not only the tips but sport band type rubber as well. These don’t fall out though.
I won’t be using my old QC buds anymore. These are now my go to earbuds. So well balanced and such beautiful sound quality. I love music and listen hours everyday. You can’t beat the price either. Please try these and see what I meanTruly Amazing.

Best sounding earphones I’ve ever had. Doesn’t fall out or get loose when I run or working out. Very comfortable too. I’ve had marshal noise cancelling and airpods2 and the sound coming out of these are way better. Talking on the phones isn’t as good as AirPods but if you’re getting these just for music than I suggest go with these.

I have been a Sennheiser Customer for the past 10 years and my experience with momentum has been the worst. The charging case randomly stops charging my earphones. I waited for multiple updates and it turned out to be a permanent issue.

The Sennheiser Momentum line has been a more quality audio take on lifestyle mobile audio products. I’ve owned all the Sennheiser Momentum over ears and a bunch of the in-ear options. One thing I can take away from my experience with them is you know they wouldn’t disappoint when it came to sound. The issues I would have with Sennheiser’s offerings in relation to the competition was simply the overall refinement on the usability side. I would argue that Apple has it down pack in terms of usability refinement. The AirPods lineup for example is incredibly convenient to use however, the sound has always been lacking for me in comparison to Sennheiser’s offerings….
Fast forward to these Momentum True Wireless 3’s and I can safely say these are not only a superb sounding set of earphones, but they work pretty well in terms of usability. I will call them the MTW3 from now on. Starting off from the packing and it’s a good presentation of a quality product. You have a good assortment of ear tips and even better, ear fins to get a comfortable and secure fit for most users. There’s a classy looking USB-C based charge case that is fitted in a sort of denim material and now finally supports wireless charging. One weird omission is a USB-C cable but I suppose most people buying these will have a USB-C charging cable at hand or a Qi wireless charger.
The overall fit and finish of the MTW3 is great. Like stated before, the case is classy and premium looking in appearing and feels like it will hold up well to drops and nicks. The earpieces are plastic but feel solid with no sounds of creaking. Comfort for me is stellar because the earpieces are designed to mold into the shape of the ear and with the added ear fins makes these stay put despite my most vigorous workouts. The Beats Fit Pro also has an ear fin type design but those are more obtrusive and caused discomfort for me after an hour or so. Battery life is competitive at 7 hours with the charging case providing an additional 21 hours or 3 more charges.
The included Sennheiser Smart Control app is quite extensive in features and allows further fine tuning of the MTW3’s to better suit your needs. You have the ability to adjust the transparency mode in terms of intensity as well if the music is paused when enabled or not. I personally love that I can set it to pause the music as well when I enable transparency mode. You can of course adjust the EQ but it’s not many points to adjust the tonal balance from since it’s only 3 sliders but it’s better than nothing. AirPods, I’m looking right at you… There’s a sound check feature that plays your music and tells you to choose between three different sounding tonal profiles over a period of tests. After it completes, it then generates an EQ profile for you. It’s ok in practice, but nowhere near as personalized as Nura’s implementation with the NURATRUE and Nuraphones. With the ANC controls within the app, you can activate wind mode which reduces the intensity of the ANC but in return reduces the annoying sound of wind flooding into the microphones. Sound Zones is a feature similar to Sony Headphones Connect app that adjusts the settings depending on where you are like for example at work, home or at the gym. Lastly, you can adjust the touch controls and customize what the inputs trigger.
ANC performance for me on the MTW3’s is great. It auto adapts to your surrounds so if it’s quiet, the ANC will ramp down its intensity which in return ramps down the white noise that is common with a lot ANC systems. In my testing at my loud gym, the MTW3’s ANC blocks out a great amount of noise and once music gets going, the world is essentially silent. Transparency mode is relatively natural sounding and I can hold conversations with people. I would say that it's not as eerily natural sounding as the AirPods Pro and Max. Apple has that category on lock. Calls were no issue for me. I heard the callers clearly and loudly and they heard me as well even while being in my loud gym. This is a noticeable improvement from the MTW2.
Sound on the MTW3 is simply magnificent. They have a neutral-warm signature. Bass and midrange are relatively flat while the treble is a slightly laid back. Details are easily heard on the MTW3 even when things get complex and busy. The soundstage is also surprisingly large and open for a set of earphones. Volume is very loud and thankfully, unlike Bose’s offerings, there’s no distortion at max volume. In comparison to my previous favorite option in this category, the Sony WF-1000XM4’s, the MTW3 is simply more open, natural sounding and nuanced in its delivery of the music. AirPods Pro don’t really even remotely compare with its midrange focused and weightless sound reminiscent of a cellphone speaker. The MTW3 is a bit brighter than the MTW2 but still retains that Sennheiser smoothness and clarity.
In conclusion, I love the new MTW3’s and these are now my new favorite earphones!

BASS HEADS: These are for you!
I'm a bit of an audiophile, so its safe to say, I have been through all of the top earbud manufacturers. From Airpods Pro (gen 2) to Sony WF1000m4's. Linkbuds S to Quiet Comfort 1&2; Sennheiser has still managed to capture my full attention.
As much as I appreciate the brand specific features of the Airpods Pro and others, the sound quality just don't stand a chance in comparison.
*** MUST perform update immediately. Any and all issues with connectivity are fixed.

The world of true wireless earbuds is aggressively competing with standard headphones. It has become a big rival in providing similar music quality and most features from headphones in small and pocketable sizes. In my opinion, and before making any purchase of earbuds, I look into brand and platform compatibility, such as IOS and Android, etc... and whether they offer any unique or at least competitive features like proximity sensor as well as multipoint connection and noise-canceling and most minor aspect I care about is the price because I look for quality and reliability. These Sennheiser Momentum III are flagship music equipment. They offer active noise canceling (ANC) in a gorgeous design and a premium feel. The case is Qi-enabled wireless charging wrapped in nice cloth, making it look and feel like a piece of desk furniture. The earbuds are square-shaped and fit in my ear comfortably. They surprisingly stay in my ear, and I have not fallen off my ears so far; thank you to the fin wings. My primary liking of these earbuds is the superior sound quality, adjustable noise-canceling, and the adaptive ability to pick up surrounding sound and execute the best sound quality with a new feature that I have never used before, “the Anti Wind”. Touch controls on both buds are very responsive, and those controls can be easily remapped to preferred functions on Sennheiseiser intelligent control app on IOS or Android. Such a companion app also offers EQ. The app is a great companion that offers many options, which I found very helpful such as the Active noise canceling, transparency mode to allow surrounding sound to come through, the Sound Zone that allows selecting specific sound settings to be applied upon entering or leaving a selected area than can be created on the map. The plus win here is the ability to use one earbud at a time while the other one is sitting in the case charging. Also, I tried them with different music genres, and they did not disappoint me. Finally, I found these earbuds offer me everything I need except the multipoint connection that I wish to see in future firmware updates!!

Comfortable, Sound Amazing, Great Features

TLDR:
(that’s Too Long, Didn’t Read)
There are many TWS earbuds to choose from at each price point. These Momentum 3 buds are at the higher end and are worth it. They sound amazing, are comfortable to wear, have better than average ANC and convenient features. The case and buds aren’t the smallest, but their size is not a huge concern (pun intended).
Pros:
* Great sound quality.
* ANC works well and automatically adjusts to the noise in the environment.
* Transparency mode works well and can pause playback at the same time.
* More than good-enough battery life.
* Wireless charging case with USB-C, too.
* Touch controls are configurable and work well.
Cons:
* No case battery status in the app.
* Case is just a tad larger than most.
* Buds are just a tad larger than some.
* Case’s fabric texture makes it harder to slide into a tight pocket.
* USB-C in the front is not as convenient as in the back.
Details - Setup:
Setup was fast and easy as is becoming the norm with your typical TWS earbuds. No longer do you need to pair the first natively with the phone, then convince the buds to connect to each other. You can simply download and install the app, then select to “Add” your buds and it walks you through the few required steps. Connectivity has been great ever since.
Details - Typical Usage:
Case: While the case isn’t the smallest I’ve seen, it’s is compact enough. It sits flat on the table even with the lid open, and charges on a qi pad easily. There is a single LED on the front of the case to indicate case charging status which works OK for everyone but those who are color blind. The USB-C port is on the front which only works if your USB-C cable plugs into the charger in front of the case. In other words, if your charger is behind the case, as it would be for many situations, the case would need to be rotated to have the cable trail out the back, which aims the status LED away from you. Not a concern at all for wireless charging, but for those who want to charge the case with a wire, it’s a tad less convenient.
The case lid stays closed magnetically and is opens easily yet not so much as to fly open accidentally. The lid also stays open and the case stays flat on a desk with the lid open. These may sound like odd things to point out, but it’s surprising how many TWS case lids flop closed on their own or cases that won’t sit flat when open (AirPods!) The buds store in their slots magnetically but extend far enough from their docking holes that they are easy to grab to remove.
A few minor concerns about the case; none of which would prevent me from recommending these buds… There is only that one status LED on the case so it’s doing heavy lifting between the case battery status and the battery status of the buds within. The app clearly shows each bud’s battery status, but does not indicate the case battery status. The texture of the case give it a luxurious look and feel, but makes it a bit more cumbersome to fit into tight pockets.
Buds: They aren’t the smallest I’ve seem (that honor goes to the Earin M-3), but they are comfortable to wear and are not too obtrusive. The are numerous sizes of ear tips and “wings” included so you can get the perfect fit. The outer surface of each bud is a touch control and the app allows you to customize what each bud’s tap, double-tap and tap-and-hold gesture does. Each bud also has an “in-ear” sensor to pause the music when removed.
The sound is crisp and clear with enough bass to round out the sound, without being overly boomy. The ANC works really well, too. I wouldn’t call it the strongest ANC I’ve ever tried, but it’s much better than average. My favorite feature is one that is absent from many others; the ability to easily toggle between ANC on while listening to music, and Transparency on with the music paused. These buds do not support multi-point pairing in that they cannot be actively connected to two devices at once (like your phone and your tablet), but they can be paired and switched between devices easily enough.
Battery life is robust and the case can top it up further, so they will probably suit most needs except for long transatlantic flights without a top-up.
The app is nicely laid-out and enables customization of the eq, the strength of the ANC and Transparency modes, and a few other features.
Conclusion:
The list of features which are considered table stakes for TWS earbuds keeps getting longer. What separates a “premium” TWS earbud from the average or basic is more on sound quality and high-end features. If you’re listening to high-quality sources, you will probably appreciate these Momentum 3 earbuds. They build on the fantastic base set by the Momentum 2 and improve on the sound, convenience and overall feature set. They sound fantastic and are highly recommended.

I was looking for high-end in-ear headphones and got Sennheiser - Momentum 3 True Wireless Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphones. The package came with a Charging case & USB-C cable, a Pair of earbuds, a Quick guide & safety guide, Ear adapter sets (XS/S/M/L), and Ear fin sets (S/M/L). Setup is easy and configured with my iPhone 13 pro max via Bluetooth using the SmartControl app. There was a new firmware available, and it took 30 mins to update the firmware. I have tested the call quality and sound quality by playing music from Spotify. The music quality is outstanding and call quality is excellent from these wireless earbuds. It fits perfectly on ears and adjustments can be made to fit anyone's ear size with provided Ear Adapter sets and Ear Fin sets.
Battery life is good with 7 hours of playtime per charge. With a wireless charging case, it provides 28 hours of battery life. With quick charging capability, one hour of playtime can be achieved by charging for ten minutes. The wireless charging case support Qi Wireless charging and USB-C charging. With three microphones in each earbud, the call quality is outstanding. With 7mm dynamic drivers, it provides high-quality listening for music and calls. I was wearing these earbuds for office calls and to listen to music for a long period of time. There is absolutely no issue wearing this for a long period of time. It comes with 2-year manufacturer warranty.
It has an adaptive noise cancellation feature that monitors noise levels in the surroundings to optimize noise cancellation performance. Transparency mode allows hearing surrounding sounds at a touch for greater situational awareness. It comes with a Built-in equalizer to tailor the sound experience with audio presets and an intuitive equalizer. Earbuds can be used individually, and touch controls can be configured using the SmartControl app. I was impressed with the crystal clear sound quality while listening to music and calls. The sound quality is way better than other high-end in-ear headphones. It is a quality wireless earbud from Sennheiser and is highly recommended for listening to music and making calls.

This is a review of Review of Momentum True Wireless 3.
The review is based on using it with iPhone.
The latest headphone from Sennheisser does deliver the mean of the model name Momentum.
The first impression was just amazing listening the music. As you wear it, and play the music creates its own world isolated from surrounding. It is almost like when you get under the water and feel that silence totally just that silence and start listening the music that can feel each vocal note and instruments.
It is made of not the all the latest but most part with the best in the industry:
- Bluetooth 5.2 Compliant;
- IPX4;
- Wireless Charging Qi;
- Adaptive Noise Cancellation;
- Sennheiser Signature Sound;
- Qualcomm aptX;
- Qualcomm aptXAdaptive;
- 28 hrs Battery life (7 hs then extended while using with the case. 10-Min charge give around 1hs of music listening without phone call and other actions);
- And naturally compatible with iOS and Android.
Upon opening and setting up is quite similar to the experience of what already exist in the market.
Connecting with the mobile phone, as soon as take out from the charging case and place next to phone, immediately detected the phone for connection without any manual intervention. I don’t know if this is across all type of iOS, but at least where it work is a nice detail.
The charging case and the buds all very light as holding them compared to other brand. And once in the ear feels very comfortable and doesn’t feel I am wearing. Often with other brand feels similar but there is pressure inward the ear that start feeling after couple of minutes, but not with the Momentum.
Note noise cancellation does what mean adapting to the moment and place. Using it while kids talking loud for instance, it creates sort o a sound wall that separate what ever listening vs kids voice. Sennheiser’s application provide option to control with three modes if the default setting is not sufficient. It has the Off/Anti Wind/On. Then it has Transparency Mode OFF/With Music/Pause Music. Combination of these options allow some degree of how to interact or isolate totally.
Making the call, during call doesn’t feel much dropping or need to repeat the conversation, such the other side would say can’t hear you or can you repeat.
Then using the control from the headphone, is simple although it might take bit of getting used to and memorize the number of tap for each action.
Note to remark on the application:
1. It has specific setting for Podcast to remake the voice.. While this is setup, automatically the equalizer option become disabled.
2. It has separate control allowing to assign or customize the Touch Controls. Hence for each Tap or repeated Tap can or not have a function. This is quite handy feature as some other I used, I wished I could disable or change the function. If it is disabled, all the control has to be done from the mobile device rather from the headphone.
3. The application provide its own equalizer from which control Bass/Midd/Treble, Bass Boost, Podcast mode.
4. Also it provide option specific to the phone call. Such enabling/disabling it for taking out the right earbud can accept or not automatically incoming call. This is nice detail to have while having the headphone charging in the case. However, feels this is not for dynamic usage as it is among Settings and not among the options for Tiles.
What I wish it would be better:
1. Control of Podcast exist in main screen instead of having to navigate under Equalizer. Secondly, Podcast mode can be assigned to Touch Control
2. Taking out the headphone from the case and wearing it, automatically hear the voice connected., That is nice, but when I open the application it shows connecting and takes couple of seconds to actually get connected. It seems there is bit of deferred mode to synchronize the connected status.
3. Firmware update, it does the update by requesting to the user to wear it til update is completed. I would prefer to leave in the case during the update.
4. It can connect only one device simultaneously that compared to other brands in same category comes short.
5. For feature Sound Check and Sound Zones, it require to create user and dependent on the account. Wish it work without such dependency.
In overall, Momentum True Wireless 3 deliver great music experience as if wearing full-size headphone but minimized to practical and very functional for during the daily movement. But the rating is given from the perspective of the Sound and full experience that come with it.

Verdict: The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 earbuds are great: they are small, they look great, and have excellent sound. Noise cancellation could be better, but overall, these are probably the best small earbuds out there at this moment.
First impressions. The unboxing experience is quite nice. The package includes several sizes for eartips and wingtips, so that the listener can achieve a perfect fit. The box also includes a charging cable and a handy quick reference guide. The case is quite unique and stylish with the fabric skin. I think this is a nice idea because the case will not show scratches after bouncing around backpacks or purses for months, unlike plastic cases.
Setup. The quick reference guide indicates that the case must be plugged initially to start the earbuds. After I plugged the charging cable, and pulled the earbuds out, they turned on. Connecting to Bluetooth was easy, as expected. Pretty standard.
App. While the app is not necessary to connect to the earbuds, I downloaded the app to get the most functionality out of these. The app is quite capable actually. All music controls are customizable. This is great because if you have other earbuds or earphones, you can standardize controls across all your listening devices. Of note, the phone controls are not customizable, which is a bit frustrating… I will get into this later. The app also offers custom equalizers, with the option of bass boosting. One of my favorite features is the ability to choose if the earbuds pause music / sound or continue to play music when activating hear-through. Most earphones / earbuds continue to play sound when activating hear-through, without an option to pause the music. I feel pretty strongly that if you activate hear-through it is because you NEED to hear what is going on, and need to focus for a second, so I absolutely want music or sound to be stopped. Thank you for this option… well done! Also, when walking with these initially, I could hear wind sounds. I was able to eliminate wind sounds by selecting “anti-wind” in the app. The app adds a lot of functionality to these earbuds.
Design. The earbuds are pretty small, and with the wing tips, they fit in the ear in a just particular way. It is a bit tricky sometimes to get them in the right place and to get a good seal of the eartips for optimal passive noise cancellation. Once they are in place, they are very steady and don’t fall out, even while running or jumping. The button on the earbuds seem to provide tactile feedback, or at least I have the impression they do because of the instant beeps at each button press. The earbuds also have different beep sounds for 1, 2, or 3 presses to eliminate any doubt about what command the earbuds received. On the other hand, when receiving a phone call, I do have difficulty pulling the earbuds out of the box, placing them in my ears, answering the call, and then adjusting the earbuds without hanging up on the caller. This has been by far by biggest frustration with these earbuds… The first week of using them, I hung up on someone at least once a day trying to adjust the buds in my ears. There is not a lot of surface area to work with, particularly if trying to avoid pressing the buttons. I wish the phone controls were customizable so that I could change the answer / hang up function to two presses instead of one. I am getting used to it now though, so this issue has improved. Ultimately, I love how small they are, I love the tight fit, I love the implementation of the button beeps, and I love how they look in my ears compared to other earbuds.
Sound. The sound is excellent overall. The mids and highs are quite good, and the bass is good (with bass boost). Bass may feel like it is lacking if you are used to high quality headphones, but remember that these are really small earbuds. The sound is pretty crisp and full. I’ve spent quite some time comparing sound with other similarly priced earbuds, and I do actually think that these have the best sound. On the other hand, passive noise cancellation is just ok (once the earbuds are situated), and the active noise cancellation is good (but not great); you can notice some improvement in noise reduction when toggling ANC on and off. Other earbuds that I own perform better in passive noise cancellation and active noise cancellation than these.
Things I love:
- Small form factor
- These look nice and don’t protrude so far out of the ears. They are my favorite looking earbuds by far
- Instant beep confirmation when pressing the buttons makes it feel like tactile feedback. I LOVE this implementation
- Excellent sound. Best out of all the small earbuds I own
- Nice looking case that will not scratch
- Excellent battery life: 7 hours on the buds, and 21 more hours from the case
- Great fit with eartips and wingtips. Once they are in place, they don’t fall out
- Exercise proof, and IPX4 splash resistant
Things I don’t love:
- Phone controls are not customizable. This is a bit annoying because the default phone controls are different than the ones for my other earphones. I would like to have the same set of controls across all devices, but I can’t change these. Also, I accidentally hang up on people while trying to adjust the earbuds to get a good fit.
- Passive and active noise cancellation is just ok. I am not sure what it is, but I definitely hear more ambient noise with these earphones compared to other small ANC earphones. It’s not a sizing issue; I am using the adequate earpieces.
- The app should allow more customization of the “sound zone.” For example, I would like to select when to maximize ANC (when I am in the train) and when to use “anti-wind” when I get to my final train station and have to walk for 22 minutes. Sound zone is good, but it could be even better.
Conclusion. I have become very picky with headphones, earphones, and earbuds. These are not perfect, but they are pretty close. I have rotated my “go-to” earbuds on a regular basis over the last two years, based on the quality of earbuds because I need earbuds that can do everything during a very active and long daily commute to work (including driving, train, and a 22 minute walk, twice a day). These are my new go-to earbuds because they can do everything I need, and they do it well. The sound is fantastic, the app is powerful, the earbuds look good, and at a single press, I can hear what I really need to hear immediately. I highly recommend these.

Superb Wireless Earbuds (second to none?)

This is probably my seventh or eighth set of BT wireless earbuds. Why, because they keep getting better, and I've always appreciated the Sennheiser sound quality, some say Bose has a certain sound, well I think Sennheiser headphones have always had there own sound style. Sennheiser claims 28h battery life (7h+21h from charging case). I fully charged, and updated my firmware before trying them out. I had no problem pairing them with my iPhone 12 pro. I then ran them through Tara Labs Noise burn in overnight (lasted ~6h 45m), just short of the 7h quoted, and then I recharged them. I installed the Sennheiser Smart Control Software and my earbuds were immediately recognized, and my battery level showed 100% on each earbud. The software provides and equalizer (only 3 bands, bass, mid and treble, that you can adjust +/-6db; not overwhelming, but adequate), you can save your own presets. It has another option called sound check where you can compare sound option a,b&c (repeat) until you find the curve you like best for the music you've selected. This worked pretty well, I was not surprised with the curve I selected.
Then on to the really important part, how do they sound and fit. I generally move to the next larger rubber earbud surround, but after testing I found the standard set worked just fine for me. I generally prefer a soft spongy insert for longer listening, but it is not an option, only rubber/silicon inserts. And they fit comfortably in my ear cannels', they did not feel loose, like they might come out, and the sound seal seamed very good.
Now this where I start with Boston's first album; More than a feeling was very crisp, and the bass had real presence with very nice highs. On Foreplay/Long time the fade in/out fade had great separation it was excellent. The subtle build up was just as expected, maybe better. And the bass was nice and deep but not overwhelming (just the right mix). Here I tried using the app to see how the equalizer settings worked. Pretty well; consistent with the software. The bass boost was nice until I got tired of it. I tapped the earbuds to advance the song, it work as I expected. The touch controls can be programmed as you desire (a nice feature) 1,2,3 taps and hold, so 4 different options on each earbud. The software can also control ANC (Adaptive Noise Cancellation), Off, Anti Wind, and Full on. Outside in some wind the anti-wind made a slight difference but not nearly as much as the full on did. No more birds, all the sound was coming from the earbuds. A big difference, I imagine they will work great on an airplane.
I'm accustomed to the software including custom sound profile's and Senheiser software is nice but I wish the Equalizer offered more bands. They offer something called sound zones, which can be set/changed based on GPS locations, so you could have a profile for the office, your home, the ballpark, any place you frequent. A interesting concept (an A for trying something different). But the best feature (IMHO), is the transparency setting, so that when you talking with someone, how you hear them, does it mute the music or just lower the volume. I can think of circumstance I might use one or the other, but nice to have a choice (I'd definitely program this for 3 taps and hold). The adaptive noise and the transparency works well together, giving me options, that all work well.
Back to the music, Pink Floyd's masterpiece; DSOTM. Speak to Me sounded great, the volume level was wonderful, opening up the subtle sounds of the song. I had the earbuds at 80% volume and that was fine (for now), but knowing they could be drive higher is what I'd have expected from Sennheiser (these earbuds are ready to Rock). The subtle tones were great, and as the song builds it had the oomph, that higher volume brought. The treble in Time was excellent, these earbuds provide a sharp/crisp clear high end. Then Great Gig In the sky's ethereal voices, wisp around the soundstage with the bass building as it should have. Money got me drumming, it sounded so real, I kicked it up a notch, a it was even better louder. Us and them was most excellent, it kept me turning my head, like I could tell the different instruments were right in front of me. As we ended with Eclipse I felt like the little voices im my head would persist, and there would be more, maybe wishful thinking?
All told these exceptional earbuds, either the best or close to the best I've ever heard (some many time this price). After listening for several hours, I found them very comfortable, I do wonder what a memory form type insert would do, from a comfort point, that's style that seems to let me listen longest. But I just spent 4+ hours with these on, and rarely thought about it (other than how good they sounded).
Sennheiser has built themselves (and anyone that buys them a real winner). IMHO these are one of the best sets of earbuds that you can acquire today. Some of Sennheiser previous generations of earbuds did not have the punch/volume level that these can reach, these are a real improvement. They are what I've been looking for, but I doubt I will stop me from further research, but the bar has been raised.

Sennheiser Momentum 3 True Wireless Earbuds

So I just received my Sennheiser Momentum 3 True Wireless Earbuds and I’ve been testing them out and putting them through their paces. I was throughly excited to receive these to test out since I had the opportunity to test out the 2nd Generation version of these earbuds a couple of years ago and wondered if they had improved on a few quirks.
Upon opening the package, you’re greeted with the cloth-like case that holds and charges the earbuds. The case and earbuds both charge via a USB-C cable which is included in the packaging. Also included, are large, small, and extra small sizes of the eartips (medium eartips are already installed). Something new that I’ve not seen before, are these earfin adapters (which are like these rubber rings) that fit around the perimeter of the earbud. Those come in a small, medium, and large size as well, with medium preinstalled. And the user manual in different languages is also included.
After a quick charge, probably no more than 30 minutes, my earbuds were charged and ready to go. But before you start using them, its recommended to download and install the Sennheiser Smart Control app from the App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android devices. The Smart Control app allows you to tweak and adjust the settings to your liking. You can change the different equalizer modes, turn on/off transparency mode, adaptive noise cancellation, sound zones, etc. And the app looks better than it did a couple years ago when I tested the last version. After pairing the earbuds with your phone through the app, most likely you’ll have to update the firmware which took me about 10 to 15 minutes for it to download and install.
After the firmware update was complete, the earbuds were ready to be tested out. Sennheiser has done an outstanding job with these compared to the last version. I fired up Apple Music and started playing some music. I was blown away by the amazing sound quality. It was loud and clear. Not muffled like the old pair. I could actually hear the bass and make out the lyrics, and background instruments in different songs. There was no background humming sound that I noticed on the last pair. When it came to calls, people said I sounded muffled although I could hear them clearly on the old pair. However, with this new version, everyone noticed that I sounded a lot clearer and not muffled. Even more so than what they could hear out of my daily Beats that I use.
I am happy with these and will probably put them in my current rotation of earbuds that I use daily. They have been a blast to use and comfortable to wear as well. Also it looks as though they’ve come down in price as well. So sounds like a win-win.

I can only compare these to the original Sennheiser Momentum TW buds, as I didn’t upgrade to the SMTW 2'S. Side by side, I did notice an upgrade in overall sound quality, bass, and volume. These get plenty loud for ear buds. The bass is punchy, but still unmatched to actual over the ear headphones. I like the customizable controls for the touch settings. The EQ is easy to use. It also comes with their own presets. I loved the additions of the now wireless charging case and the ability to use each ear bud individually. The change from the large round shape to the curved squared shape for me made a difference in ease and comfort in my ears. I do have smaller ears. No major issues for me. On a minor note, sometimes the touch controls can be finicky when you're getting into the two or three touches for noise cancellation or skipping tracks. And sometimes it wouldn't connect right away. I found this issue mostly out of the box. May be fixed over time with more useage. $250 seems like a fair price compared to Sony 1000XM4 and others in this price range. Wasn't able to compare to B&O EQ's at a much higher price point of $400. I feel these are a good upgrade if that's what you're looking for.

Premium truly wireless ear buds!

The Sennheiser Momentum 3 True Wireless! It comes with:
- case which holds both wireless ear buds
- charging cable (USB Type A to Type C)
- XS/S/M/L ear bud adapters
- S/M/L ear fins
Right off the bat, I swapped out the fins and ear bud adapters to get a comfortable and snug fit. The fit and design of the buds are quite good, I've yet to experience them falling out even while exercising! Pairing with my phone was a bit unusual at first but reading the manual made it a bit easier, :P Could be because i'm getting old! Also, these buds come with iOS & Android apps, where users can customize the buds in terms of touch functionality, sound profiles, etc. After a successful pairing and setting up, WOW. These are probably the most flat, truly wireless ear buds I've placed on my ears! What this means is that it is true to the composition of the song, and you hear exactly what is intended from the artist! That was very nice as opposed to some other truly wireless ear buds that usually have some other musical shape. I was pleasantly surprised and quite happy! With proper settings in place, I think audiophiles will love these and even bass heads will enjoy it.
Battery life on these are actually pretty good as well. I got around 6.5 hours listening @ ~60% volume, and the buds could've probably lasted a bit longer too before I needed to put them back in the case for charging. I love that the case can be charged wirelessly :)
One thing I did not really thoroughly test was the ANC, but this is because of the sound stage limitation it brings and also because ANC makes my ears feel uncomfortable.
Overall, I would highly recommend these premium truly wireless ear buds to anyone that is looking for comfortable & accurate sounding buds! Not sure if you can get any better than this!

I absolutely love these things. The sound quality is excellent, the build quality feels great, the case feels sturdy and the headphones are very comfortable. The addition of the little wing tips when compared to the previous generation really help them feel comfortable for extended listening sessions.
Pros:
Sound Quality: It goes without saying that the sound quality is excellent. Using the Sennheiser Smart Control app lets you come up with your own EQ to fit your preferences and get the sound you want.
Comfort: They are comfortable. They fit snugly and don't fall out,
Battery: I hardly ever think about charging these. I've never had the battery die when I needed them, but the wireless charging means if I'm desperate I can use my phone's reverse wireless charging to help protect me from actually listening to people.
ANC: the noise cancelling is superb, and the transparency mode feels equally good. The app lets you get more involved with how you let sound in or block it out, and I like that quite a bit.
Cons: The app is a little clunky, and makes switching between devices a bit slower than I would like.
No bluetooth multipoint.
Connection range is a little low, but that's not usually a problem for me. One example would be if I leave the room while listening to a video on my computer, I might start getting some connectivity issues, but it's really not much of a concern.
