They fit even better than the Momentum 3s and sound better too. Super comfortable with amazing sound quality. I did have to use the App EQ setting to boost the bass a bit. Firmware updates went much smoother too. Overall highly recommended.

One of the best sounding wireless buds out

Sennheiser has been around since 1945! The German company has been one of the most renowned audio manufacturers for the last century. The engineering part of their audio continues to impress the most, yet the build quality of their products also never disappoints. From their over-the-ear headphones and earbuds to their soundbars, you will more than likely be impressed if you purchase a Sennheiser product. I've been an earbud enthusiast for a while now. I've had an embarrassing amount of earbuds throughout the years. Sure, Apple Earpods made wireless earbuds mainstream. Still, the true "audio enthusiasts" knew that the original Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless won the best sound category when the masses were buying the Earpods. I've owned the originals, the second gens, and now the fourth gens. The only reason I skipped the third gens was because I was so happy with the 2's. They had become my favorite earbuds of all time (and I've tried so many). However, I tried the 3s and thought they sounded as fantastic as ever. Before the fourth gens, it was a close call between the Bang & Oleson Beoplay Exs and the Momentum True Wireless 2s. Regarding sound, only a few other buds can match the audio fidelity of those two products. The Momentum 4s have a crispness that is very difficult to get in an earbud. It's the closest thing to an over-the-ear headphones sound you can get with buds. Not only that, but it's customizable if you like to tinker with the equalizers. The app that accompanies the buds is called "Smart Control" and has been excellent for the most part. There have been some issues with the app connecting the buds. I had problems with the second version, losing connection with the app and having to repair them several times throughout ownership. By reading and watching early reviews of the 4s, the app may have suffered from some issues in the first months of release. However, I have not had any connection issues (given that there was a firmware update after setting them up). The firmware update went smoothly and didn't take multiple attempts, like some apps. Once connected, the app has many settings with which to tinker. I love the fact that you can create your own. Sound is very subjective, so it makes the sound much more enjoyable when you can customize it to your preferences. There's also a "bass boost" or a "podcast" toggle. The bass boost is perfect for hip-hop. It doesn't overload the bass but turns it up to what most hip-hop producers wanted the sound to be when they recorded it. The podcast toggle reduces bass altogether and emphasizes the voices - which is welcome for those who listen to podcasts. Regarding the ANC, the Sennheiser's are up to par regarding noise canceling. They've been hit and miss in the past, but the 4s seem improved, even though they can keep going. I love the "anti-wind" setting, perfect for walks or runs in windy environments. Speaking of being out and about, the transparency level is also customizable from anywhere, from low to high and in between. This isn't a feature I use much, as I love to go out and run with sound, but while riding your bike, walking on the roads, or enjoying music somewhere you'd like to hear your surroundings, I think the 4s do an excellent job. The Earpods are the standard when it comes to transparency but lacks audio fidelity, so Sennheiser's audio fidelity makes up for the bit of difference between the transparency mode. There are also touch controls that are extremely easy to use. Surprisingly, the touch controls are intuitive when the buds are tiny. I chose to stay with the default controls, but that is another aspect that you can customize if you wish. As with any earbuds, one of the most critical steps you need to take to ensure the best sound is the fit. If there is a lot of sound leak from the buds, the sound will suffer greatly. Sennheiser's app is helpful with that because it has its own "fit test" built in. It's straightforward to use and will let you know how much sound leaks. These buds do give a very tight seal, which is excellent. For some, however, this may feel uncomfortable, as if your ears are plugged or a feeling similar to when you're in water, but to me, it's not something that bothers me after choosing the correct sized tips. One of the coolest features of these earbuds is something that I haven't seen any other company do—the Sound Zones. This will automatically give you "sound profiles," depending on your location. If you're at work and need transparency mode on, it will use geolocation to know you're at work and automatically turn transparency mode on. That's pretty cool. The idea of not needing to tinker with the settings every time you go to work should sound welcoming to all. Battery life is outstanding, too. 7.5 hours is expected per Sennheiser, and from the first few days, I purposely didn't charge them; they lasted me around 7! And that's at higher than normal volumes and with "bass boost" turned on most of the time. With the case, you can get around 30 hours. PROS: * Excellent sound quality (rich, crips and detailed) - I'd say it's tied with Beoplay EXs * Great seal ear tips with different size options * Battery life * Wireless charging * Smaller bud size CONS: * Transparency and ANC could be better * Call quality should be improved * Can be uncomfortable to some or take trial and error to get the perfect fit

Exceeded expectations - fits and sounds great. The app is easy to use and you have good control over customizing the buttons. Only issue is the same as all earbuds that have touch vs. a button control is if you adjust the earbud or accidentally touch it it registers a press. This has happened a time or two where you end up accidentally touching it for a long time and the volume goes up to 100. Only other thing worth mentioning is unlike other earbuds that support multipoint (connect to more than one device), you don't get any differentiation like a different sound between connecting to one device or two. However the logic it uses to manage multipoint seems to work better than any other set i've used. I've used numerous Jabra (great fit) and Google (great sound and great mics) earbuds, and this has replaced them all - the only set I have used since I bought them.

After watching flossy carters video on these i had to get them and i dont regret it because these earbuds have blown me away so far! Im coming from some 2nd gen airpod pros which i thought sounded pretty good but these are on a whole other level! The bass, clarity, sound stage on these is incredible. The noise cancelation is better than the airpods but nobody can touch their transparency mode even though these have a great transparency mode. 100% recommend and these will be replacing my airpods pro gen 2 as my daily drivers!

I’m a NYC based user who has used many Bose, Sennheiser, and Anker headphones. I place a heavy emphasis on sound quality, and to that end it certainly delivers. It replaces my Bose QC Ultra True Wireless earbuds with active noise cancelling, and these earbuds certainly delivers sound clarity and soundstage significantly better what the Bose QC Ultra is capable of. But with that said, I’m someone who mostly uses his earbuds on the subway, and there is no beating around the bush: Sennheiser’s active noise cancelling technology is currently far behind what Bose can do. It does muffle the subway sounds and honking cars and public conversations, but they remain far more noticeable than when I was using the Bose QC Ultra. It is certainly a downgrade in that regard. On the whole I’m still happy because the sound quality difference is substantial enough to make up for it, but if you’re looking specifically for active noise cancelling over all other considerations, I would go with Bose.

Ear buds sound good, the app is cool and has lots of things to help with fit and adjusting sounds. The fit is something you have to adjust and learn where your sweet spot is. Connectivity is ok. Every once in a while i will hear a click like it dropped and reconnected connection. Battery life seems good. I wear them mostly at gym. I have not issues with them staying in. The ANC works ok. Ive had better. The ambient sound is very loud. Even when adjusted high and music on low. The worst part is talking on my phone with them. Nobody can hear me. I have to disconnect from the buds take one out to use my phone. Thinking about taking them back.

Overall 5 stars. For the price these are exceptional and offer terrific comfort since you can mix and match the ear tips. I have different size ear canals so I use the medium size tip and ear fin for the right ear and the small size for the left. Since I have it set for high quality audio the battery life is somewhat reduced but still plenty to get me through the day without having to spend time in the Qi charging case. The controls can be accidentally triggered when adjusting the fit if you have larger fingers but it's just something you adapt to. The ANC feature is especially nice when I'm outside and don't want to hear my neighbors' lawn equipment or when I'm inside working and need to focus without the background noise interference. Will they replace my Focal Bathys headphones? No, but for the price ($299 MSRP vs $799 MSRP) and the convenience they are more than adequate.

When I unboxed the Wireless Earbuds, I noticed the premium feel they had. The case was sturdy and the presentation felt amazing. The case felt like you were getting quality. The Case also feels high quality. My headphones can stay in my pocket all day. The case is what makes a good pair of wireless earbuds. These deliver all around. Not too bulky much more firm and solid. The Earbuds by far were the most comfortable earbuds I've ever had. After a while, I'd forget I'd had them in. The Audio quality was crisp and clear. While listening to a podcast, you could hear the clarity and cleanness. While listening to music you could hear and be in the experience. When you have good audio it enhances the experience. It has an Adaptive Noise Cancellation Mode. With the window up and raining outside It blocks out a decent amount. Though, I've never been a fan of any Noise Cancellation this one was decent. You adjust this feature inside the app. The Transparency feature is one that I see as useful. Honestly, the best thing about the earbuds is that you don't need the app. Out of the box, the Earbuds sounded amazing. While listening to podcasts, videos, and audio. The interaction and functionality of the earbuds were flawless. Each press pressed and there were no problems with pause/playback. My only Negative would be the app. It seemed useless with not as much control. Yet, you can "Sign Up" for more control. I'll pass on that part. The Earbuds are a Home Run. Great comfort, Quality, Sound, and a Premium Price Tag.

With a name like Sennheiser, you expect exceptional sound and quality. These earbuds do just that and I would have expected (and accepted) nothing less!!! The sound is exceptional and you can tweak them to your liking with the Sennheiser Smart Control smartphone app. More importantly, I can use them for a good while (2 to 3 hours) without any discomfort and I can hear the higher pitched voices without any problem which was my whole reason for using headphones. I have the Momentum over the ear headphones which are also exceptional, but they rub against the headrest on my couch causing external sound distortion. The earbuds are a great alternative. I purchased Apple AirBuds Pro about a year ago. I noticed they made my ears hurt - they sound good, but that's irellevant if you're in pain. The pain was around the area where the airbuds make contact with the ear before the ear canal. This appears to be common based on my research. Anyone want a free pair of airbuds?

Sennheiser has struggled in the past with reliability, but they seem to have heard the complaints and responded with these new momentum 4s. They also sound phenomenal, the case is great, they have long battery life, and the fit is really nice too. Quite possibly the best bluetooth earbuds available right now.

I read plenty of reviews where people say these aren't as good as others, but decided to give them a try after putting it off. These sound amazing. Balanced sound, crystal clarity. I'm using an aptx adaptive capable android phone, and it sounds fantastic. Tried aptx lossless and after disabling bluetooth on all my other devices it kept a stable connection from my laptop and BT adapter and sparkled even more. Just a little more with lossless but enough to appreciate. I listen mostly to classical and light jazz. Loved how the nuances and subtleties came through, and i could follow individual instrumdnts and enjoy each of their melodies individually instead of everything being glued together like a wad of chewing gum. I think when it comes to classical and orchestral music you can't go by the reviews of typical consumers. No doubt their favorites might sound better on other ear buds, but these are hands down a winner for me!

Sound quality with these earbuds is quite insane. Coming over from a reputable brand user of 10 years is a night and day difference. The sound cancellation is unreal and makes everything personalized. The only reason these are 4/5 stars is due the microphone not having any noise cancellation which makes phone calls a big 50/50.

My choice for new buds came down to the Sennheiser Momentum TW 4 or the Bose QC Ultra. Let me start by saying that I'm a big fan of Bose, and up against almost any other set of buds, I would have chosen them. The Bose sound great. But the Sennheiser's just scream premium. The case is beautiful, the buds themselves look very high quality, the Sennheiser app is robust and user friendly, and the sound quality is just phenomenal. No fancy spatial audio like the Bose, which is fine. What you get is clean, crisp, beautiful sound, with enough eq settings to tailor your music just how you like it. I couldn't be happier!
