If the main purpose of headphones is to immerse yourself into music, then these are a very obvious choice. The headphones only have two things going for them, comfort and sound. If these are the two criteria you base quality off of, then these excel. Expect the music to sound more open than compared to the bose or sony counterparts.

Bluetooth connectivity is excellent, consistently connects to 2 devices. Sound quality is clear, clean, especially when using the app. Call volume is a little low, does not automatically adjust when switching. Hard touch controls take some practice, but work well. Comfortable for several hours.

of course when i purchased them as a previous customer of Sennheiser I expected great things. These headphone sound awesome. They have a comfortable fit. Small issue is with controls if you are laying down the controls can interrupt the listening pleasure. They don't come with a on and off they require that you stow them to turn off so if you're not careful you could end up leaving them on

I got these after my Sony 1000X M2 started having issues. I first went to the M3s but those had issues so I figured I'd give these a try. The good first: The build quality is fantastic and sturdy The sound is very good with very impactful bass and clear mids/ highs. The ANC is not bad. The bad: Smart Pause is a huge pain. Luckily there is a way to turn that off. Have to use the Sennheiser app to change between ANC. Last but not least, The Bluetooth range is terrible and inconsistent. My gf has a pair of 1000x M2s that still work so I tested the Momentums against those. You'd think a $400 pair of headphones would be at least on par with the range. But its not even close! Sometimes I cant be more than 15 feet away before they cut out while with the 1000x M2s, I can be on the other side of the house with very few issues. In a nutshell, there is no excuse for this. If I'm going to fork out a lot of cash for something, I expect value in return. Speaking of returns, These are going back to the store.

At this price point, these headphones disappoint sonically. The bass is substantially boosted, the midbass is muddy and bloated, and there is a dip in the upper mids/lower treble. The sound degrades when using them in wired mode with a good desktop amp- thus I believe the onboard amplifier is doing some EQ to compensate for the mediocre inherent sound quality of the driver/enclosure combination. They don't play too loud either. Comfort is good, active noise cancellation is good. At $200 or so, these might be an OK value for a non-critical ear who would be happy with mass-market audio fidelity, but IMO they aren't worth it even at the sale price. Returned immediately.

I have weird ears that brush against the inside of headphones and start hurting after a few mins, which is why i have stayed away from over ears all this time. This is the first pair of noise canceling headphones that i can wear for hours without fatigue because of how deep the cups are. Sound quality is fantastic and clean out of the box (unlike the sony wh-1000xm4 which imho is terribly boomy) and noise cancelation is more than adequate. I do miss the touch control of the Sony but its not a deal breaker at all. Aesthetics are subjective but i think these are some of the coolest looking headphones you can buy.

With owning a number of high-res headphones, (and them all being breathtaking in their own respective ways) from the moment I put these on and played the first song, I can't stop wearing them since. Honest. The style is sleek in its own arena in comparison to Bang & Olufsen, M&D, etc... Not as "designer," I suppose. But who the flip cares, the soundstage is so well executed (listen to Tidal HiFi, ordinary audio isn't going to allow any professional style headphone to shine) that I'm actually having FUN digging into my music library to enjoy another song to experience again for the first time. I love these headphones with the exception of the fatigue you'll feel if you're reading sitting up or allowing the weight on your neck. Ehh, you'll very quickly forget about it to be honest, these change music and with gorgeous premium materials AND at $399!! The other competitors are in the $500 range. Buy these.

I definitely prefer this over the Bower and Wilkins PX7. It’s significantly louder for moments I want to be immersed and jam out to my tunes. It’s loud enough that it feels like it’s punching my head with sound and the PX7 has a larger soundstage but sounds warmer. Hard to explain but go instore and try them both and you’ll understand what I mean. The ANC is there but lacking compared to Sonys 1000mx3 and PX7. Lacking in battery life! But in terms of sound, probably best Bluetooth overear headphones. Px7 is next and although the 1000mx3 are balanced, they kinda suck compared 900n imo. Besides the anc, I don’t understand the hype :/

Great headphones - BUT I had to exchange it.

Unfortunately, I had to exchange this for a far more expensive Sony WH1000XM5. The sound quality, features and aesthetic of the Sennheiser MOMENTUM 3 is outstanding, not to mention the best value for the price @ $250 when I bought it, compared to Sony and Bose. The noise cancelling literally took away loud construction noise from next door and other loud ambient noises. The quality is that of studio headphones, with no "enhancements" like chirpy Bose does with mid-range. The clarity from these headphones connected to my Sony Master Series TV enabled sounds that I had not heard, taking movie watching and music to another level. The channel separation is a great revelation - even the App tiles on Apple TV on the left and right side were separated between the cups! Also, even a seasoned listener of classical music will be pleased with the honesty of the fidelity, true to source as any headphones can be. This, for the brief while I owned it was The One Headphone to Rule Them All - my TV, Pixel 5a and Computer, it connects all without a hitch. It has superb features like auto pause and auto connect when Bluetooth is enabled. The build quality is superior - finished, tough German engineering. However, I could not wear it for over 30 minutes at a stretch; it clamped down hard on my ears, and began to feel uncomfortable in less than 20 minutes. It could be because of my glasses, but my ears started to hurt in 20 minutes. Any potential buyer should try this on for comfort first; I could not reduce the pressure and discomfort even after adjusting the earpieces for varying looseness. It is unfortunate that I had to return these quality, tough headphones for a lightweight, overpriced Sony. I still cannot take away a single star from this product, my discomfort while wearing these is not a universal experience. I have to thank BestBuy for outstanding customer service, both with the exchange of these headphones and for dealing with a large TV return and exchange process earlier. I do not work for BestBuy, and am not a paid reviewer.

    Disappointing product from Sennheiser

I've had these for about a year now. Sound quality is incredible, everything else is frustrating. The adjustment mechanism wears out quickly; the right earphone droops over a few minutes of wearing now. The auto-pause feature engages any time I turn my head to the right. You can imagine how infuriating this is when looking around while wearing the headphones or on a meeting. They're wireless... customers are probably going to use them in a 'free' way... I can't believe this is an actual issue with the product. Noise canceling is subpar but functional. I bought these for their sound quality (which is incredible) so I do not care, but they do not hold a candle to Bose or Sony offerings. When charging and using with a cable (this matters for low-latency listening, ie playing guitar using the headphones, or monitoring drums, etc) you can hear electronics whine through the signal. Bad enough to infuriate you for spending $400+ on headphones with noise problems while your cheapo gas station headphones don't do this. The in app EQ is a joke. I want to know who on their product team thought an Apple-style overly simplistic equalizer would satisfy the people willing to spend over $400 on a set of headphones. What were you thinking? These headphones sound good, why take away from that with an equalizer that reminds me of the easy version of Legos.. what were those... oh yeah, Duplo blocks. Yikes. Last, but certainly not least, BLUETOOTH. The most infuriating of all technologies and Sennheiser's implementation here is LACKING. Yes, I love sitting down next to my Macbook Pro and putting my headphones on only for them to automatically pair with my iPad downstairs... then the iPad downstairs starts playing a youtube video while I'm trying to join a meeting for work... queue frantic run to downstairs to find the iPad, turn off bluetooth so the headphones pair with my laptop, only to find out they won't, because they chose my phone next, then turn off bluetooth on my phone to get the laptop going, only to see my laptop fail connect, power cycle headphones, bluetooth off and on for laptop, and tada! finally. I get to do this about 50-75% of the time I put my headphones on. Oh, PS, the beeps. These headphones beep at you a lot, but half the time it's impossible to know what the beeps mean. Again, a major product design fail at something not that hard to do. Why one beep of different tones or timbres? Why not differentiate them or play a short sequence to indicate battery, connection, etc? Yes, you can turn on a voice but with the amount these headphones talk back to you they will drive you nuts! These things are no longer get used for work or anything where I'm context switching or I have to do anything remotely important. They live next to my guitar/music equipment and that's that. They sound good and that's it, don't expect anything more from them. Seriously, you can do better for your money. If you're just looking for sound quality stick to Sennheiser but you'll get more bang for your buck with a different product line if you don't care about the other (useless) features.

I am pretty particular when it comes to listening to music with headphones. While there is a limitation is the quality you can get from bluetooth, the convenience of no wires makes it an interesting debate. I have been trying a few different bluetooth headphones to see which one I felt offers the best sound quality. My tests included these headphones, the Sony XM4's, the B&W P7's, and the Apple Airpod Max. My pick is the Apple Airpods Max with the Sennheiser Momentum a very close second. The price tag of the Airpods Max will be too high for many, so this was a great alternative, in my opinion. I know many rave about the sound from the Sony XM4's, but when comparing them to these or the Airpods Max, I felt the Sony's were well behind. While the Sony's do offer some good punch, it is often too much and muddies the mid-range sound. I also found the highs to be a bit too muted on the Sony's. The Sennheisers do really well on all ranges. The separation between these and the Airpods Max is with the way they interact with the Apple ecosystem, the noise cancellation, and the flawless "hear through" implementation. I have never heard a headphone offer a better "hear through" option. For me, the Airpods Max were worth the extra price. If you want something close at a much lower price point, this would be my pick

Pretty good. Great sound when connected to my phone. Terrible performance connected to my PC. Issues with paring and auto-pause turning on randomly when I would turn my head. Disabling the setting through the phone app did stop that issue and connecting them with the aux cord did fix the performance on PC. Could just be poor BT drivers on the home PC but be aware it can be spotty. Overall if you can overcome those two issues the headphones are fantasic and sound great.

Much better sound than what I was expecting. I own quite a few high end headphones and these have become one of my favorites. I had read quite a few reviews before purchasing and many rated these as having only average or below sound quality. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like me the sound signature. I think it goes to personal preference. If you have been less than pleased with the sound of some of your high end headphones seriously consider these.

Keep getting better as they break in. I use these for movies when my wife is sleeping, and I like to FEEL the bass and blah blah. These are too big for everyday use, unless you're into that kind of thing, but I have a big head and they are great. Also like how they connect to my TV and phone at the same time, and they turn on and connect VERY quickly simply my unfolding them. So glad i got them for a special 1 day deal because they're worth the full price. ANC is not what you should buy them for, as that is lacking severely.

I loved these while they worked. I had maybe 150-200 hours on them when the bluetooth functionality failed. I couldn't control playback, apps stopped playing music after one song and had to be manually restarted, and overall just flaky operation. Wired they still worked and was how I used them. I made the error of sending them in for RMA. Now I have the momentum 4's which are definitely a step down from the 3's. So word to the wise: Don't send yours in for warranty unless you want the updated, cheaper replacements.
