    Best headphones I've ever had

I've had these for about a month now and I can honestly say these are the best headphones I've ever had. I was between these and Airpods pro and although those other ones are very practical, they hurt my ears after wearing them for a short period. I can wear these all day, the comfort level is amazing and the battery life is amazing as well. Controls on the right ear cup are awesome. And of course the sound quality is great, it's Sennheiser.

I am very pleased with the sound quality of these headphones. I also use them a lot for taking phone calls. The sound quality for the phone calls is very good. These headphones can go a surprisingly long time between charges. These headphones are comfortable, but can get sweaty in hot weather. I can go quite a distance from my phone without the Bluetooth cutting out. I am very happy that it came with a nice case. I store the accessories in the case, so it is easy locate them when I need them.

Have really enjoyed these. Perfect when flying as it blocks the noise out in the aircraft and has high quality audio. Downloaded the app for the headphones and that was helpful. You will need to read the instructions on this unit...lots of controls. They are comfortable to wear for long periods and the battery has good longevity. There is even a voice that speaks to you to tell you the battery needs recharging.

Impressive sound on a bluetooth headphone

Most comparisons between the higher end bluetooth headphones focus on the Bose QC-35, the Sony WH1000XM2, and this Sennheiser PXC550. Frankly, all are amazing products and you cannot go wrong with any of them. The differences are not that much, so your choice should be mostly on what you value more and which headphone fits you better. In general, the Bose has better sound cancelling, the Sony supports more protocols and has more features, and the Sennheiser has a more sophisticated sound. Again, these are all quite subjective remarks, but somewhat reflect what you read in the reviews. In my case, I went with the Sennheiser because it fits me very well and the sound is truer to the source (IMHO), which is important for someone who is learning piano and enjoys a wide gamut of musical genres. My wife has the Bose and she couldn't be happier, so you should definitely compare them in the store. My local Best Buy did not have the Sennheiser in the demo, but I tried both the Bose and the Sony and bought the Sennheiser anyways. I would have returned them immediately if I had any doubt on whether they were better for me than the other two. After more than a month of continuous use, I am really happy that I chose them.

The sound and features on this headphone beats bose. The noise cancellation is slightly better on the bose qc35 but between bose, sennheiser and sony the most clear and crisp sound signature is sennheiser. The touch functions work like a charm. This is not a loud headphone but accentuates and reproduces the sound accurately.

I purchased these over the Sony wh1000xm3 & Bose QC35 because they were $100.00 less & based on my research these are just as good or even better. I have not used the microphone feature on these because i purchased them strictly for listening to Movies & Music. Sound quality is great & if you download the app on the blu tooth device you are using , you can customize your sound on the EQ in the app. The volume at is highest is not on par with other headphones but the sound is crisp, clear & great. For those who like to listen at extremely loud levels this is not the headphones for you. They are loud enough, easy to use right out the box, aptx compatible. love the touch pad controls for volume and forwarding & rewinding music. The Volume function in my opinion is better than the similar setup on the Sony Wh100xm3.If you are able to test these out the do so. I am so happy with this purchase that i'm thinking of purchasing more as Christmas gifts for 2019. They also come with 2 year warranty from Sennheiser. My only knock on these is the Case they came with could be better, would have preferred a hard shell type case. But that is a minor issue . Do yourself a favor and try these out before buying similarly priced headphones and judge for yourself. If you can get these at $250.00 . It's a no brain er . Buy then and enjoy the $$$$$ you saved and the Great sound from the Sennheiser pxc 550

I was satisfied with the sound quality of my PXC 550 headphones straight out of the box without using any type of equalizer adjustment apps, and the active noise cancellation performed well enough for me to hear and enjoy my music while standing beside a running tractor and concrete mixer truck at work. After I installed Sennheiser's CapTune app, a must if they are used with your phone, I used the soundcheck function and the quality went up from a satisfying experience to a breathtaking immersion into masterclass sound production. This would also be my first wireless headphone set that has functional touch controls that are easy to use, and it has a dedicated hardware switch for the active noise cancellation on the right ear cup whereas most of the competitors still implement this feature into the software only. I give them 5 stars out of 5 and highly recommend them for any device that can make use of high impedance headphones. They are the only headphones I use now with my quad dac equipped LG V30+, and the superior audio quality blows away the competition at this price point.

Sennheiser are the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn, and this pair is so exception. The active noise canceling is amazing and I have to turn it off to talk to anyone around me physically. Charge time and last is great. I've used these every day since I go them.

They are very comfortable and sound pretty good. I am going to return them because of how poorly they sound if you are walking and the wind blowing on them- It sounds better with the noise cancellation off but for a +$300 set of headphones I view it unacceptable. On a plane noise cancellation it doesn't do a bad job as long as you keep them off the seat--- the vibration transfers

Tired of de-tangling my Westone WD-40 ear buds after six satisfied years of use, I decided to finally transition to Bluetooth cans. Not much research thanks to long -ago pleasing experience with the Sennheiser brand led me to these PXC 550 Wireless Over-the-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones. Pairing with my Sony Xperia 1 phone was flawless. Imaging and dynamic range is stunning. I'm an acoustic conneseur so can't speak much on electronic genres. Early music, opera, jazz and live performances are all superb on the PXC 550s. Battery life is never an issue either. I Highly recommend these!

Great sound and bass. Noise canceling is excellent. Things last forever on one charge. They could be louder though. Max volume was hard to hear some parts of movies when on an airplane.

I bought these as a replacement for a pair of Sony’s headphones because they broke and they wouldn’t replace them. These headphones are sturdy and are excellent quality. The head band has cushion so it doesn’t hurt your head. The cups of the headphones are nicely cushioned as well. They fit perfectly over my ear. I love how it has different effects based on what I am using them for (club for music, movie option for when watching movies, speech option for when listening to audiobooks or something that deals with mostly people talking, and so on). The noise cancellation is amazing. Can’t hear nothing (which is good for my noisy neighbor upstairs). You have the option to turn the noise cancellation feature on and off or leave it on automatic. Even without sound going through the headphones, it does cancel a lot of noise. Wish it had noise isolation feature on them. Overall, best pair of headphones I bought so far.

I cannot describe how incredible these headphones are. I listen to music and watch movies to them as often as I can and have never been short of impressed. The sound quality and the equalizer options do make a huge difference. On top of all that, the noise suppression is incredible. I will literally wear these without any music or videos for plane rides because it completely wipes all white noise. Or 90% of it when things get a little off rhythm. Its so well made though and I can't say it enough how much I enjoy these headphones. Also the battery is literally insane. I hadn't charged them in over 6mo because I had accidentally stored them away and they still had 70% battery left. It also helps that the headphones are just so easy to turn off and stow.

Theyre comfy and light. On a flight, the NC is effective, but I feel the QC’s still have the edge on that. The BART can be super loud in some spots and these headphones have yet to let me down. BUT don’t go wearing these puppies during the rain with a hoodie on since the touch controls can be super sensitive, I wish there was an option to switch em off sometimes. The controls are welcome in most situations, but I’m an old fashioned dude that prefers the satisfying click of buttons. The sound quality really is where it’s at. I listen to Tidal’s master tracks and play FLAC files regularly with these bad boys and they haven’t let me down. Get em. They’re great

I bought a pair of Bose Soundlink headphones and I was not satisfied with the sound. I returned them for the Sennheiser PXC 550 and am glad I did. They are noise canceling and the sound is great. I love the touch features on the ear covers like turning the volume up or down by sliding your finger on the ear pad or tapping the earpiece to pause or restart your music or video. I love being able to turn them on and off by twisting the earpieces which allows them to lay flat as a bonus. They also have the ability to tune the sound by switching a button on the side. And if you need even more sound tweaking they can be tuned through the CapTune app. I have used Sennheiser for microphones and knew of there reputation for sound quality. This is my first pair of Sennheiser headphones and I love them.
