This little remote has a ton of features packed into a tiny form factor. part of that was the problem for me, the remote was too small and felt odd in my hand and I do not have big hands. The other drawback for me was the touch screen was very sensitive and I had a lot of accidental touches. Love the features but the size and sensitivity made it very hard to use for me as a daily remote.

Got it last week. Setup was easy. No code nonsense, which was nice. Works well with my Samsung TV, Tivo Bolt, Denon Receiver, Sonos Beam & AppleTV 4 (ugh, good riddance black Apple Remote).
So far so good.
The keyboard is awesome & infinite amounts better than the terrible Tivo Bolt remote. Searching YouTube/Netflix/Hulu is actually easy now! The screen is good size & the swipe between devices works well. The scene function is nice & works well. It's worth mentioning that our toddler loves that we were able to change the background pic to McQueen from Cars). The battery life seems to be fine, we store the remote in the doc so we know where it is (although it does have a find remote feature).
As random as it is, I'm most excited that it controls my AppleTv. I HATE AppleTV remotes. The old silver ones worked well but got lost every 17 seconds. The new, black "Siri" remotes are terrible. I'm so glad that I don't have to use either of them again.
Really excited though. Like I said, so far, so good. Works well with all my stuff & didn't break the bank. My wife even likes it, which I can't say is the case with most of my electronics purchases.

My favorite consumer tech purchase of the past year. I recently got an Apple TV and noticed how much better the navigational experience is of sliding my thumb across the remote’s pad vs pounding D-pad buttons over and over. I wanted an all-in-one remote that could provide a comparable interface. The Sevenhugs Smart Remote U was exactly what I was looking for, and it seems to be the only all-touchscreen option.
(NOTE: I got a much lower price in Dec 2020 vs what I see it advertised for now, but it makes life so much easier I probably would say it’s still worth it.)
Setup was really easy, a huge contrast from the frustrations I had just experienced trying (and failing) to set up a well-reviewed all-in-one from the leading brand. Other than my streaming devices, my devices are all pretty old, and my home wi-fi is just ok. But the Smart Remote connected easily and found every device.
I really like that I can easily customize the command screens, and I like the subtle but definite feedback the remote gives when it receives a command.
I hope they come out with a model that adds voice command and allows searching across all connected devices - that would be a grand slam. In the meantime I’m thrilled not to have to deal with broken down buttons on a handful of old remotes.

I have had this for a few weeks now, and while I have not had any major problems with it, my wife is not a fan.
The IR is very narrow beam, so if you want to change a channel on your cable box or get the "guide" you need to make sure it is pointing at it perfectly.
I don't have much problem with the virtual buttons, however my wife finds them difficult to operate, and will change back to the original remotes for various devices out of frustration. I find this annoying, because I bought this to eliminate needing to have 4 remotes to use my TV. For about $300.00 I expected to never need another remote...
Set up is a bit of a challenge and it took me a while to figure out which cable box I had. It is also not all that intuitive. My Roku was found right away by the app, however recently I had to uninstall and reinstall it because it stopped working.

As a home automation and gadget enthusiast, I was looking for a remote that feels more like 2019 than your covered-in-too-many-buttons universal remote. I chose the Sevenugs smart remote as I like the design and it can connect to all the devices I currently own (Philips Hue, Wemo plug for my air purifier, LG TV, Yamaha receiver and Apple TV)
I was pleasently surprised by how easy setup was! The app and remote connect well, and the app tells you whenever you need to take action on the remote. I was able to pair the remote with my Yamaha AV receiver quickly by just following the prompts on the remote itself, trying out different infrared signals.
I like how the Hue Control on the remote has a bunch of different colors preselected, and you can just scroll through them.
My only regret is that app does not add the room of the light in its name, so I have multiple lights called "Main" and it's hard for me to tell which is the kitchen / living room / bedroom... but it's not a dealbreaker.
Battery life is good and has not been an issue.

Setting it up was easy with the application in my android tablet and also using the learning IR. The only difficult was the first WiFi connection. For some reason I got an error the first 3 times and then it worked.
I would like to have a little larger remote and heavier to feel better in your hand.
Response is good.
I would like to see some flexibility in the button design you can add.
Coming from Logitech Harmony, this remote seems promising.

This was just what I needed. I wanted a touch screen remote that was easy to program, didn’t need a computer like others and had an app as well. The one I purchased was the U Model, no pucks for lights etc... works well connecting to all my equipment. Highly recommend!

Just because a new company goes the online funding route, don’t think they have a cutting-edge idea, or even a different idea. This remote looks cool but works OK at best. I was torn between this and the Logitech 950 while at Best Buy and decided on this because I thought it must be cutting edge, and it was 100% touch screen. The two carried identical price tags.
After a week of searching for my cable box, the previous channel function, and a sleep timer, not to mention that the dock is ridiculously fragile, I returned to the store and exchanged it for the 950. What a difference. You can plainly see the result of Logitech being in the business for decades now, with focus on quality build and perfect functionality. Don’t waste time on this. Perhaps v2 will be better.

Do not waste your $250-300 on this remote. Very poor battery life. The company has been purchased so no new updates or customer service. It’s a very stylish remote but the unit is very cheap and plastic. Display is poor and not very sharp and mostly black and white. Worth maybe $99. I was able to add my LG OLED TV & Apple TV correctly. Then I went to add my new Sony sound bar and it couldn’t find the product to add so I couldn’t add it. Also the remote is very small so if you have medium to large hands it’s very difficult to operate.

A little small but once I used it for a while it is OK. This remote is a little hard at first to set up but becomes easier with use. Seems to do what my harmony does but I like I can do it without hooking up to the computer. Just download the app on a phone or ipad and go at it. Works faster than the harmony when using activities. The screen is really nice.

Theres some things i could appreciate over my harmony elite, and theres somethings i couldn't. The touch screen was a big plus because the harmony elites touch screen is much slower. There was a glitch on the remote where if i switch from one device to another it would send a random ir signal to my current device and would make the device act when i switched. I wish there were hard volume buttons on the side. Theres not a lot of customization and support. I wish it supported lutron devices. Right there was the killer for me. I didnt want to switch my smart lighting system. The keyboard system on the screen was clutch also. It also didnt let me create my own device like logitech. So its really a proprietary device which didnt fit into my smart home.

After much work to get my Sonos sound system to produce 5.1 Dolby Digital, this was the final piece of the puzzle. I needed a universal remote to work with an HDMI Audio extractor (J-Tech), that allowed my content to produce DTS. Because the J-Tech only comes with one remote, and is needed to switch impute; I needed a universal remote that would work with it. I purchased a Harmony remote and it was an absolute mess to try and set up. I won’t get into all the detail, I’ll just say if you use Apple products don’t buy Logitech products. I returned the Harmony and tried this remote out. I is quick and easy to set up and easy to use. It does everything I want. Finally, it paired with my J-Tech device immediately, which the Harmony never paired with. Only concern could be loosing it or damaging it as it’s small and not as durable as a standard style remote. A good talk with the kiddo and we should be good.

A great concept, covers a vast array of devices. Pretty easy setup. When using with Apple TV, it triggers a million keyboard messages, which is annoying. The main problem with this device is the completely dismal battery life. If you charge this and can keep it going more than 4 hours even just in standby, you’re sound better than me.
The point is, a remote should not need to be tethered to a cord, and should have enough battery life that it will have a charge and work for at least a couple of days without needing to be charged up.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Smart Remote is a touchscreen universal remote that consumes more battery than a classic remote, which means it consumes more battery than a classic remote and needs to be charged. We understand that this is not a behavior you are used to and we are constantly releasing new updates that extend the battery life.

Beyond customizable. You can do so much with this and even though I had to purchase an IR blaster it works so well just seamless. I returned my harmony elite for this and was a good decision. The only thing I’d improve is maybe have OLED and fix charger, can be awkward.
