Gorgeous game to look at. Gameplay is simple yet complex. Story is simple but that’s not a bad thing.

Shadow of the Colossus is one of the best games on PS2, but I had trouble getting back into it in the Ico collection on PS3 due to the clunky controls. This remake does a great job of maintaining the artistic style of the original with modern graphical fidelity, and the gameplay greatly benefits from a refined control scheme. Everyone with a PS4 should own Shadow of the Colossus.

i waited for a good sale, and was worth the wait. the game features stunning graphics in the pro on a 4k tv. Built from the ground up. I beat the game on the ps2, and now going to relive the adventures again in beautiful graphics. I wanted the special edition, but i was a little too late to preorder the special edtion as it was sold out already. I guess the sale they had going on during sony e3 made it worth it.

Game is pretty and the music is beautiful, but the controls made me want to throw my controller at the screen. Everything is needlessly complicated or not nearly optimized. Gameplay is boring as well and repetitive. This is one of the most overrated games I've ever played. Don't believe the hype and make the same mistake I did.

This game has an atmosphere that cannot be beat. The graphics are incredibly remade.

I picked this up for my roommate who had played the game when he was younger but I never got a chance to play it back in the ps2 era. I really missed out because there's really nothing like it. It's a very fun boss puzzle game with a bit of exploration. The ps4 really does make this game look amazing since it is fully remastered from the ground up! Definitely worth the purchase.

If you love the original, you're gonna be content with this. My only complaint is that the controls seem a bit dated now. But the visuals are great.

I never actually played the original, but I have always heard excellent things about the game. The updated version is simply stunning. The game mechanics are fun and simple to learn, and each colossus provides a different challenge. Perhaps I'm just more used to open-world concepts at this point, but it does feel slightly repetitive, which is why I award it 4 stars. It's a joy to play, but not a favorite. I would still recommend it for nostalgia-sake and for the fun concept of climbing beasts while taking them down. It definitely stands out in concept even in comparison to modern games.

Graphics are amazing for a PS2 remake. A little short though.. only took me about 8-9 hours to complete. Few annoying bugs as well but overall a great game.

either it was from the ps2 era or playstation 3. This remake is just awesome. a good replay value to actually journey and defeat these colossus that lives among the mountains and grounds. If you play shadow of colossus before, this is a must play game again with better graphics. this was made from ground up like starting new. Overall it is a beautiful looking game.
