Must have on the switch as i feel it plays better than on the PS4. Have to understand it’s portability is what wins it for me on the switch.

This version comes with all previous DLC that was not included with the Wii U version. It's a good, short, fun game but manage expectations...

This is a wii U por but the diferente is that it comes with all dlc included and some extra goodies, buy it because is too an excellent game.

Really glad I was able to get the Ultimate Day One Edition! Regardless the game is great and comes with the DLC which is always a plus

this game remind me a lot of monster boy and the dragons curse for switch. It is easy to pick up and play for hours.

I was walking around Best Buy when I saw this game. I am not really a Shantae fan, but did play the game on a friend´s 3DS and felt it was OK: And looking at this special edition for the Switch was a no brainer for me to get! Specially with that price! Sadly, well it would had never crossed me to open the box at the store, as i opened it some days later at home when I finally had the time to play it, and to my surprise, there was not physical game. At first I was under the idea there was a download code, but nothing; it did mention that it had free DLC and believed the code included that and the game, but no game nor DLC was included, and there was a space big enough to fit the game case. It did include the art book and the soundtrack, which to date remains unopened as not sure what to do in this situation. I went to report this at Best Buy´s forums and no reply so far, to see if someone else got through it as maybe it was an error from the sellers. My guess is that Best Buy does not accept back the case, as it is opened and there is no way to prove that the game itself was not included in the box. The art book had no foil cover which the soundtrack does not have and I do not plan to tear open it until I get some special message. Would it be worth it to buy this special edition again? But this time open it at the store? Or buy the game itself in standard edition but miss the free DLC content. Not sure if this review might help. Thanks.

This game is amazing! I really recommend it and can't wait to play more in the series.

fun to pick up for 10-15 minutes at most, standard 2 d side scroller, no special moves, basic jump and attack

Fun game for kids and adults alike. Some levels are easy but others can be challenging.

Soon as I got it I started playing it. Beat it really good game a lot of replay value.
