Got this set as opposed to buying digital. I like that you also get a CD and artbook in addition to all the DLC for the game. Wonderful gameplay and music

Fun platformer/metroidvania game for all types of gamers.

Great platformer that I think is overlooked by the plethora of indies on the Switch. Music is so great it had my kids dancing in some levels

I've wanted to play a game from this series for a long time. I've heard great things about it and this did not disappoint me! I only want to play the earlier games even more now. The sound track is amazing so I am glad to get the CD as part of the bundle. The one drawback I had is that the included art book in my bundle came out of the box already damaged. I plan to notify the company and hopefully get an exchange for a new copy. Other than the damages to the cover and spine, the art book seemed really worthwhile. The game itself may seem short (I finished the main game version in less than a day with 99% items found), but in addition to the multiple versions and DLC this bundle comes with; I personally enjoyed the game enough that I plan to replay it multiple times. I am an instant fan of the series thanks to this and am glad I decided to go for this bundle.

Its nice to play a game that just about having fun. The art style is cute and gameplay is on point. its simple and easy for anyone to enjoy.

Great platforming - awesome music, and the ability to transform into other animals to get new abilities on the fly is am interesting mechanic. Not as deep as other games, but the art is great and I will continue to play it.

Fun game with a great cast of characters and gameplay, highly recommended if you are looking for a fun platformer.

Love it love it. its a great deal for 40 bucks you get all the dlc and a artbook everything else is just a bonus

Shantae: Half-Genie hero is the first HD game in the series, and it looks great. The game play is fun, but it is very linear and not quite as good as the previous entry (Pirate's Curse). I originally bought this on the Wii U but double-dipped to get the Switch version as it includes all the DLC on cart. The DLC lets you replay the game with modified stories as either Shantae's rival Risky Boots, her 3 friends, or as Shantae with different abilities. These all make for good challenges, but it can get repetitive going through the same stages over and over again. Still worth playing, esp if you're fan of the series.

There's so much packed into this cartridge, different characters and modes to play as can occupy you for days. A charming platformer for sure, pick this up!

This would be a 5-star review without the bonuses — the game really is that good — but they really went above and beyond with the art book, soundtrack, and instruction booklet. This may be one of the greatest values currently on the Switch or any platform. If you like NES or SNES style action/platformers, do yourself a favor and add this to your collection.

Half Genie Hero may not be as inventive as it's predecessor was, but this game packs in so much stuff. The main game really goes back to the roots of Shantae, and all the additional modes and DLC stuff really adds to that experience. It's a fantastic platformer and a character I hope we continue to see on into the future.

This is the 4th Shantae game. The previous Shantae titles were all metroidvania style games, but this one is a standard level based platformer with only a few minor metroidvania features sprinkled in. Still, fantastic game. The physical edition was especially impressive with it's full color manual.

you get the base game plus all the DLC and an exclusive alternate color for one of the costumes, you also get a soundtrack CD as well as an art book, I'd recommend getting this while it last, because once it's sold out a version without the art book and soundtrack will be sold at the same price

Excellent release by XSeed of Shantae. Soundtrack is the same as the Risky Beats release back on the PS4 but comes with a new softcover artbook and manual in the case. Game was picked up in store in mint condition. Love playing the DLC I never got a chance to buy on the PS4. Really fun series.
