Amazing purifier. It's on the pricier side but we'll worth it. We have run this thing almost non stop for 9 months and it works great. It's very quiet for how much air flow it provides.

This Shark 4 Air purifier is suitable for a room up to about 350sq feet, although that probably depends on the particle size your trying to filter. This filter can deal with fairly large particles (PM10 like Pollen & Dander) and much smaller particles like smoke (PM2.5). The air filter has 4 separate fans to move adequate amounts of air. The fans operate at 4 separate speeds, the lowest two being nearly completely quite, on 3 there is a barely noticeable background noise, and max which you can clearly hear running. This Air cleaner has a sensor that measures particle sizes to tell you how clean your air is. You can use this to tell the unit to run until the air is a certain level of clean, or for 3 specified amounts of time. In auto mode it will change the operating speed to match the setting you've selected (kind of a cool options, I've not seen before, it runs at full until it detects the air is clean enough then "idles down" decreasing the fan speed/noise. The filter is specified to to be used for 4400 hours (about 6mo continuously) it is a true HEPA filter that can be dusted off, but not really "cleaned" by the user (I wish there was a real washable first layer). The filter fits very tightly but is easy to access and remove. I'm sure it available from Shark online, but I've not seen is else where yet..
The unit is very attractive. It clearly displays what it is doing on the front and top, the good news is the display can be set to bright, dim and off (if your going to use this in a bedroom you will want the display off!). The 3 timers can also be used to quite the unit at night. But the auto feature is what makes this a really smart air purifier. I forgot to mention it also has a remote that handles all functions so you can easily adjust the unit from across the room. I should mention the unit clearly states that the rear of the unit (sucking side) should be placed at least 3" from a well, this certainly makes sense as restricting the airflow in would greatly diminish the units efficiency.
For what it does, the unit seems very effective, I like it.

This item works great and it is super quiet. It is bigger than I expected, but it is slim and looks good sitting in any room. It has a nice, simple design and the auto feature works great for it to run when it needs to. When I am cooking, it kicks on to get the smoke out of the air. When it kicks on, I can hear it when it goes to high, but it’s not overly loud or annoying at all. It is a subtle sound and kicks down to low shortly after going to high and the low speed is very quiet. I definitely notice a difference with the dust and dog hair in the air.

The auto mode is nice! It's quiet on the lower speeds but you can hear it when it goes on high. We noticed a difference in the air quality

The wife loves the sound of a fan going at night in the bedroom, and this fits the bill. It amazing that if this is set to auto, and somebody starts cooking in the kitchen, this will detect the added air impuritites and start cleaning the air. When you change the filter, it's amazing what it collects.

These are great. Love that it displays the percentage of air quality. Also keeps up with the life of the filter and let's you know when to change. Also can set up a timer when u would like for this to turn on/off. Purchased 2 of these for the home. Roughly covers about 1000 Sq footage. So I have one upstairs and the other in a bedroom and they work really well.

I live in an apartment complex where I can immediately calculate the quality of air just by smell, this air purifier is amazing at fighting against those wanted odors as soon as they appear. Super easy to use, can even double as a fan!

I love how quiet it is. The highest setting is still decent noise level. It is instant in recognizing the air quality. Makes me go to sleep comfortably. Got this because I have bad asthma so it definitely has helped. Love the style the color etc. would recommend!

This purifier is amazing. I live with cats, and they release a lot of dander and hair so it often times causes my throat to become irritated. This purifier definitely helps and the noise is not irritating at all. I’ve noticed that when I spray febreeze or glade , the color turns red because of the components these sprays have. Cooking also turns the dial red. If you’re considering buying this, I say do it. It does make a huge difference.

This filter is hands down one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I had several lung issues and my lungs were very sensitive. Bought this and the air quality instantly improved. The filter lasts forever which is great because I never turn my off. Big enough to do the job, but small enough not to be in your way. I highly recommend this filter. You will not regret it.

This is such a great purifier. At first I was wondering if it was actually operational since it was stuck at 100% but I noticed the change when blow drying/hair spraying my hair or frying foods. I also have two for a space that is under 1000 but I did that since the doors are kept closed with central air. If you have pets, I think you'll notice a great difference with odor. Highly recommended.

Im sure it would've been great. However UPS is incompetent and couldn't deliver. (They usually leave my packages at someone else's house or hands them to someone without my permission. Id have loved to use this product but UPS had different plans. They lied and said it was delivered so they could say they delivered a day early. But then they messed up bc they told me it was delivered so i reported it missing. Bestbuy is awesome. Moral of the story UPS is trash. Maybe you'll get it. Maybe you won't. My gf has one that was actually delivered and she says its awesome so ill rate it from her experience since i don't have an experience due to UPS.
More expensive, but more power, range and features

We needed something bigger for our dining room, living room, and kitchen area and this has been a big help. Mainly looking for this to help with allergens since one of our cats has started to struggle a bit in the spring. Super easy setup, relatively quiet operation, and helpful button/LCD dimmer for night time operation.
Noticed an improvement for our cat pretty quickly, we aren't trying to chase her down and put allergy drops in her eyes to stop the irritation any more. We do run the machine 24/7 though and try to limit how often we're cycling fresh air through the house. Also, we are impacted positively as well!
Helping with odors and things has been an added benefit. It's also nice to see on the machine the estimated run time to get air quality to better%s.
We do run another purifier on the other side of the house near the bedrooms, but its range is much less. Currently, it is set up near the wall inbetween the dining and living room and the cats don't seem to be bothered by it at all. Will continue to monitor and update the review of needed.

So far we love it! I have noticed less particles floating around, less sneezing than before (we have dogs), and I just feel like its cleaner. We run it periodically on a timer. I run it at the same time my robo vacuum is doing it's thing. AND we run it when we cook so the smell clears out faster. I really dislike my home smelling like a restaurant or my laundry smelling like food.

We bought this to help with my husband’s allergies and asthma. We really like it and it keeps the air so clean. I am going to buy another for the bedroom area, as it’s quiet, and even at the highest setting, is quite tolerable.
Highly recommend. (It’s nice that the clean air output acts as a small fan).

After moving into New place i started having allergy symptoms and heavy chest feeling. Bought 2 of these. The downstairs one was placed in living room. After an hour it was still in the red. The upstairs was yellow to blue. Thought one was not working right. Put them side by side. Both were in red in living room for 24 hrs. Something else had to be wrong. After researching and checking the house, turns out the AC/heat ducts were thick in dust. Immediately got ducts cleaned. The air purifiers were now 100%. I knew they work. While cooking it went to red but then right back up to blue after finished. BUT, then that night the one in my room went to red. I was confused. What was difference. I had turned on the humidifier. I turned it off and the purifier went up to 100% tested that theory by turning humidifier on again. Immediate drop into red%.
I am now healthy again and I'm grateful that these air purifiers showed me what was going on in my house.
I would recommend this shark air purifier.

Honestly this has done the job. However we wish we got the bigger one since we use it in our main living area. This would be great for a large bonus room or bedroom. We still like it and has helped with when cooking but supposedly the bigger one helps with smells which would be better cause the people below us smoke weed and our apartment reeks of it. Overall its a great product but not for what we need it for.

Great product. Cook a lot of food in the house and lots of oil. We turn it on while cooking and the air quality drops and after awhile the air quality readingis back at 100%. Auto mode is great feature.
