I like the remote as well as the other various settings such as the “auto” function wherein in will adjust by itself depending on how clean your air is. The brightness of the LCD can also be adjusted. You can purchase 3 different air filters ($80, $90 or $100). I have both this and the white one (601 Model). This one came with a Pro Filter (highest filtration) while the 601 came with the Pet Filter (mid tier). I don’t know which one it should come with, but it should be the same in all models. I don’t think it’s worth the $450 price tag, but with the sale, (over $200 off), it’s worth the money.

It seems to be working well after having two weeks with it. It stays between 98-100% most of the time. If there is heavy traffic in the hall I’ve seen it drop to 78%. Overall a good purchase on the deal of the day. Probably wouldn’t pay retail.

This air purifier works really well. The auto mode senses smoke and smells in the air and kicks on to purify the air. We are happy with this product. Shark usually makes quality products.

We have air purifiers in different parts of the house, due to allergies, so I've seen a few models. The unique factor with this is that instead of using a single fan, that is either very large or spins fast, this has six small fans spread through the body of the unit. The first benefit is that is much quieter, so I can leave it running all night bedside, and it's barely audible. It's also compact, width-wise, although taller than many others. Being short in width allows me to leave it close to the wall, between windows and does not protrude as much. It has an air quality sensor, measuring different particle sizes, and provides and overall 'air score' where 100 is the most clean. The display shows different measurements, and a color ring changes from blue (clean) to yellow (moderate) to red (bad) depending on the air quality. With this data, in auto mode, it adjusts four different speeds on the fans (all at the same speed) depending on how much air if needs to circulate. The air intake is through the filters, on the back of the unit and spreads the cleaned air on both left and right sides. The front is polished plastic. (This model is black, they also have it in white). The top is also glossy with a clear plastic on top of black, where it has the main screen and touch controls. I don't find it aesthetically pleasing. It's rather utilitarian looking, but this all depends on how and where it's used. The touch controls are actually very responsive. I had other appliances that are a pain to operate touch controls but this got it just right. There's an on/off, speed level or auto, timer and screen brightness. Also a filter reset. The filter is one piece with three layers: Dust filter, HEPA filter and carbon filter. It's single piece with all the filters bonded together and it goes in one way only. It's very easy to swap the filter. Screens: For some inexplicable reason, this fan has two screens that shows a clean score and the color ring. The screen on top also has the controls and the one in the front has the same information without the controls. It's a feature so it can be seen from any direction but it's really a design quirk. It's fine and very useful, but I don't like that the unit has no light sensor. It can be set to bright, medium and off. The medium setting is distracting at night, so after a few days I turned the screens off. Other units have a light sensor that adjusts the screen automatically. It's a small detail in these high-end purifiers but this, that has two screen doesn't have it. Remote control: It has a nicely designed remote control, with a big on/off button and all the other controls. Looks modern and works well, with nicely arranged buttons. It comes with its bell (watch type) battery, which I'd expect would last for years. It has no app or phone/cloud connectivity (And frankly, does not need to). I noticed that if the unit is on, unplug it and then plug it back on, it returns to it's previous setting. This is great so I could use an appliance switch if I want to with this. Packaging was good, without excess of cardboard, the necessary amounts of bag and no Styrofoam (Which regardless of not being recyclable, invariably makes a mess when removing, with irritating noises). So props for thought-of packaging. The unit was manufactured in China, however SharkNinja operates from, and designs its own products in Needham, Massachusetts. Overall it's a great unit. Seems well built and it is exceptionally quiet. It's also not bulky although it's wide and tall. I'm happy so say I can keep this bed-side running all day, being quiet.

Great item, fast and easy set up. We replaced and older air purifier and once this one started it instanly realized the air was not as clean as we thought. Took less than 12 hours to putify the air to 100% and it contiues to monitor and act on the quality of the air in the house. Plenty of feedback options to tell you how the air is. A great addition to any home

Shark has made a great air purifier with this model of release. I have been using it for over a week now and the air just feels cleaner and fresh. It picks up odors and locks them in immediately turning the air clean. Everything you would want from a Modern air purifier is here with tons of useful features. The box is large but it’s easy to pull out the unit and place it where you want. The design is more monolith / Sci-fi than anything I’ve seen before from an air purifier. There are easy instructions printed on the tab of the box so you can set it up right away. Once plugged in, it gives you a host of information about your Air inside your location which can be fun to see. There is a feature on Shark’s Air Purifier 6 that makes it stand out. “Clean Sense IQ” completely and intelligently adjust to the room air and cleans the air for you showing you stats in real-time. Over time this can go from 0% to 100% in about 45 minutes time. I’ve tried this with smoke as the air impacts hard to 0%. I love this feature the most! This model really takes over the biggest space in your home as it traps all the allergens inside from the six large fans inside. The best part here is Shark made this a really powerful and quiet machine. Touch-sensitive buttons give this model a nice look. The buttons light up but there is a way to turn it off if the lights are too bright. Fan Speed Control, Air Info, Auto, Filter Life, Brightness, and Timer Buttons are all displayed at the top of the unit which looks cool. When pressing the “Air Info” button the air purifier will display info about: Air Percentage: The percentage of your air quality. Time to Clean: The time takes for the unit to clean the air. PM1.0: Number of particles, allergens, and viruses in the air. PM2.5: Number of smoke and bacteria in the air. PM10: Number of dust, pollen, and mold in the air. Three colors around the ring of light let you know what levels the air is in. (Blue = Clean Air, Yellow = Air is mid-way clean, and Red = Bad Air.) the unit comes with a remote control so you don’t have to get up to turn it on. Auto Mode is mostly set it and forget it. You can just place the air purifier down and let it clean the air. If the air sense is really bad or if there is odors in the air the fans will turn on the highest. If Air is clean the fans will hit low. You can also manually set the settings yourself by turning the fan speed high or low. giving you greater control of the air around you. There is a bunch of features in the HEPA filters themselves. Kills a bunch of odors, strange food smells, captures pollen, and super high smoke absorption. It does the job really really well. So much so I want to buy more filters, but all this does come at a high cost. The filters for this unit are around $90. Keep this in mind when buying Shark’s latest and greatest. Each filter lasts 5000 hours which is more than enough time considering that it has auto mode. Overall the unit does the job extremely well and I enjoy it in my household. The air purifier keeps my home really pure air and it’s good to see stats of how my home is doing. The family seems to enjoy it as well coming home to fresh clean air. Shark did a good job with this one and the XL size is perfect for my use.

The Shark™ Air Purifier 6 is a HEPA Filter and 6-Fan based air purifying system that is used to provide one cleaner air within one or more rooms of your home. The following items are the key features: • 6-FAN AIRFLOW: Shark gives you six high-speed micro-fans work together to evenly distribute airflow across the filter. • ULTRA-FAST MEETS ULTRA-QUIET: Six high-speed fans provide a remarkably quiet, clean, and an incredibly fast clean air delivery rate. • TRACKS & ADJUSTS AUTOMATICALLY: Clean Sense IQ™ tracks air quality and auto-adjusts power to constantly maintain clean air in your home. The easy-to-use control panel displays data in real-time. • ANTI-ALLERGEN HEPA MULTI-FILTER: Shark’s Anti-Allergen Multi-Filter captures 99.97% of dust, dander, allergens, smoke, and household odors.* • HEIGHTENED ODOR PROTECTION: An advanced odor guard on the filter protects against household odors from cooking, cleaning products, and more. • ADVANCED PROTECTION FROM HOUSEHOLD FUMES: The activated carbon layer protects your air from household fumes like formaldehyde. • LARGE CLEANING AREA: 6 fans working together generate the power to clean the air in large, open-space areas. • REMOTE CONTROL INCLUDED: An easy-to-use remote gives you complete control from up to 15'. • *Based on HEPA filtration standards of 99.97% filtration, down to 0.3 microns. Set-up is straightforward and consists of removing the various tape, plastic covers and removing the Filter from its plastic packaging. Next, one places the unit with at least 3 inches of space between the unit and the wall with the front of the unit facing away from the nearest wall. Once set in place one just turns the unit on to have it begin cleaning the air. The top of the unit is a control panel that has the following controls - the On/Off Button, Air Info (cycles between displaying the % Clean air, Time to Clean air, and 3 particle size counts), Auto Mode Button, Filter life button, Brightness button, shut-off timer button, and the Fan Speed button. Each of these controls literally does what it says or displays the information it states it will display. Auto mode is recommended for optional filter life and unit performance. The front display mimics the top display and when using the remote can be seen from across the room. The front of the unit displays a colored ring and a percentage score for the air quality of the room/area the unit is working in. The ranges are Poor (Red Ring and 0% - 69%). Fair (Yellow Ring and 70-84%), and Good (Blue Ring and 85% - 100%) rating. The air quality percentage is based on the system counting 3 particle sizes in the air and calculating the air quality % in accordance with the particulate matter (PM) Air Quality Standards as determined by the EPA to calculate the air quality rating. Overall, this unit is a nice unit and does what it states it will do. When considering its basic/midrange functionality when combined with the $449.99 suggested retail price, it seems to be on the steep end of the pricing spectrum and I would highly recommend folks shop around to see if this unit meets their needs before purchasing it.

The Shark Air Purifier 6 has become one of the best appliance additions to my house. Unboxing and Setup The setup of the air purifier was straightforward. The inside box flaps have clear instructions and pictures for setting up the unit for use. Removal of the packaging around the unit and the internal filter is simple. I placed the unit on one side of the living room about a foot from a wall, plugged it in, and pressed the power button. The unit has easy-to-understand controls and displays on the top and an air quality display on the front. The unit immediately tested the air quality. Usage Usually, I don't need to use the air purifier since the quality in my home is 98-100%. However, the smoke from the summer fires was terrible last year, and I'm sure I'll be putting it to good use. A good first test of the unit was the morning after the 4th of July. There was a lot of leftover smoke in the air. When I powered the unit on, our air quality was at 83%. I left the unit running for the entire morning, and the air quality had improved to 100%. The air was noticeably cleaner and smelled fresh. We also have two cats, and we use the air purifier to freshen up the air. Our living room is large, and this unit had no problem cleaning the air. I was amazed at how quiet the unit is, even in the highest setting. Features • Six powerful micro-fans run quieter than larger box/circular fans. • Touchscreen controls and a clear display on the top of the unit. • Air quality display on the front of the unit. • Airflow is through an anti-allergen HEPA filter. • 99.97% of dander, dust, odors, smoke, pollen, allergens and pet hair are filtered out. • Auto purify mode (Clean Sense IQ) will monitor the air quality and adjust the airflow accordingly. • Remote control handles all functions of the unit. • The replaceable air filter is good for 6-12 months without washing. • The display can show air quality, estimated time till the air is clean, and the amount of particulate matter in the air. Summary I am delighted with the quality, sound, and performance of the Shark Air Purifier 6. I know we will be healthier and safer during fire and pollen seasons.

I have had the opportunity to use this air filter on a daily basis for quite some time now. I absolutely love the features and design and when the fan is on auto is pretty much whisper quiet unless the air quality drops drastically then the fan kicks on high and brings you back to a breathable 100% CLEAN. It is a sleek black design with a very read-able digital display which has easy to read options and displays all the info you need at your fingertips. It constantly displays the air quality and there is nothing as re-assuring as seeing 100% on the readout. I have it set on AUTO, whenever the air quality drops the fan kicks on and brings you back to 100%. I was at first skeptical on the accuracy of the air monitor system but i was reassured because whenever i cook and it even starts to get a little smoky the fan kicks on...THE BEST PART IS THE AIR PURIFIER IN ANOTHER ROOM AND STILL READS THE AIR QUALITY. I suffer from allergies and have noticed a huge improvement in my symptoms due to less dust and pollen in the air. It has a reusable air filter and 6 fans which keep my first floor air quality excellent. I prefer this to the room units, why purify a room when you can keep a whole floor clean at all times with the automatic setting. It will also display the amount of pollutants in the air and air quality. AN AMAZING ADD-ON FOR ANY HOME! ALLERGY SUFFERERS REJOICE!
