After using other bagged upright that was heavy and very noisey, we found the shark to be easier to handle, much quieter and pulled a surprising amount of additional dirt out of test spots we previously vacuumed with the bagged upright. Convenient placement of buttons to remove canister, detach wand etc. Also the best powered furniture brush I've used. My wife has long hair and we also have 2 cats, amazed that no hair gets tangled around brush roll due to its special design.

Heard good things about Shark, and watched tv commercial that showed some different features so I thought I would try it since I have 3 Golden Retrievers who shed like crazy. Easy to put together, easy to use. It does seem like it takes more strength to pull it back than push it forward. But it did a great job in picking up the fur and I like the easy empty canister. Still new, so not sure how long the great suction will last but I'm very happy with it as if now.

NEGATIVES: Awkward to handle though it gets a little easier with practice it still isn't easy. Heavy to carry. Attachments are a bit flimsy. POSITIVES: I like the 3 height levels, easily changes while vacuuming different heights of flooring. Cord is a nice length. Dirt canister is easy to remove, empty and replace. Picks up dirt well.

I have two dogs! It picks up hair like a pro! I was a bit Leary about paying so much for a shark but I have to say I am extremely impressed. Worked on my wood floors, tile floors carpet and rugs! Only con is that when you detach it in canister mode it’s a bit heavy and I wish the hose would stretch a little further out! Other than that it’s amazingly quiet as well! Would definitely purchase this again

Best vacuum we have ever found for managing pet hair! We have two Bernese Mountain dogs and they shed A LOT. We were so impressed with the performance after a few uses that we bought a second one to keep our our vacation home. Great suction on all surfaces, easy to clean, maneuverable and very versatile as a cannister vac when lifted off of the upright base unit.

Came from a long time love affair with Dyson. Love the concept behind this vacuum. Suction is ok better than most vacuums out around this price. Have tried different types. Good on carpet. Small front roller buffs hard wood floors beautifully. Hair definitely gets rapped around large roller. My (2) dog's hair gets stuck in front soft roller and guard. Have to clean rollers quite frequently. Easy to clean small roller. Can't figure out how to remove the large roller for cleaning. Have had to replace this vacuum 2 due to the suction just stopped. Complete red light on head, all lines were free of debris no clogs anywhere. The plastic tube line is too short and cannot even stretch out without vac unit falling over. I have to hold & carry canister. Nozzle could be better designed not easy to vac ceiling and ceiling fans. Overall it's a good vac. Just some design flaws hopefully they fix. Better suction than cinetic animal allergen. (also left review) Purchase geek squad warranty on any brand vacuum completely worth it!

This is my second shark vacuum. my first one broke after 4 years. it had a 5 year warranty and Shark replaced the broken part right away, great customer service. I moved that vacuum to my garage. the new one is much better. I love the suction it has and it cleans the carpet much deeper. I also like that hair does not get caught on the roller like the other one did. over this is a great vacuum and would highly recommend it.

I was amazed how this vacuum consistently and quickly lifted away dust and other particles. I have picked up kitty litter and cereal from floors. I like that it is designed to pull apart to give a separate canister for vacuum for hard to reach areas. The smooth-swiveling head was great for getting around my dinning table.

this was a very good by especially having the different attachments to take care of different aspects of your house such as dusting and also the only downside I had was it did not have extra attachments that come with the pet version I think such as a dusting tool but nonetheless the vacuum pretty much cleans up many different things and has a strong enough motor especially to get certain areas cleaned up a little bit better then to cheaper styled vacuums the vacuum is not extremely loud but does have some sound to it and has the various attachments that help and the kitchen and is pretty easy even for people who may have some sort of disabilities such as vision loss since everything is pretty tactile and has a good maneuverability to move about in the house versus even the wireless styles vacuums since the court is also very long basic minor maintenance like washing out the brush roller helps occasionally but rarely have to do any of that and it is an overall great purchase

I did quite a bit of research to find a vacuum that could handle a lot of pet hair -- we have three dogs, one of which is a golden retriever. I am very pleased with the suction of the vacuum as well as the ease with which it moves on carpet. The motorized attachment has been fantastic for removing pet hair on furniture; this is something that no other vacuum I've owned has quite been able to do.

We had a Dyson - older one that was heavy to push around & with aging bodies we needed something that was easier on the bodies - the swivel feature makes it a lot easier to reach some areas and move around furniture - ease to empty. One bad feature - the cord is a lot shorter than other vacuum cleaners - which means you have to unplug more often to get the job done. While the vacuum cleaner is almost as heavy as our previously used Dyson - the swivel part off sets the weight.

This vacuum is amazing! I would highly recommend. It goes seamlessly between floor types (carpet to hardwood etc). The suction power is fantastic. Yes it is a little heavy but because you can detach the main body it makes up for it. The only con that I can come up with is if there is something on the floor it will try to suck it up, so be sure the floor is totally cleared before vacuuming.

The apex is great. We had a Dyson and went back to the shark and are happy with the purchase. The different settings for the Capet are great and a remedy to the problems I read the new Dyson was having ultimately swaying my decision to purchase the shark. It picks up the finest of particles and thus far hasn’t had hair stuck in the rollers and we have a dog. I would recommend this vacuum.

We recently upgraded from the previous model and ver happy we did. This vacuum picks up our dog hair with ease unlike the dyson animal models. It has powerful suction, great attachments, breaks down to vacuum under our beds. If you have dogs I would highly recommend this vacuum over the dyson animal models.

I am so glad that I bought this vacuum. It has really great suction. It works way better than my last vacuum cleaner. It is pretty easy to push and maneuver around. I like all of the attachments that it comes with. I did not realize that my house was so dirty when I emptied the canister after vacuuming for just a little bit. Definitely better than the last one that left all of that dirt behind.

This is my first upright vacuum. Was nervous about purchase. Reseached many brands and types. I chose a GOOD one! Easy to handle. I Like that is separates easily to do car, furniture, tight & high spaces etc. One of the best features is the light on the large floor attachment. Makes small pieces of dirt evident so not to miss a thing. THIS THING REALLY SUCKS!!!

I have this and a Dyson Cordless. They both have their advantages, but overall this is my favorite. It’s a slim, relatively lightweight design that’s easy to get almost anywhere. It’s a powerhouse and it simply makes vacuuming my whole house a breeze. I really don’t have a single gripe about this vacuum and I have 2 large dogs, 4 cats and 3 kids.

With 3 dogs ,4 adults and 2 babies moving around our house it’s important that our carpet and tile stay clean. We love how effortlessly we can go from carpet to hard flooring without having to switch attachments. It doesn’t lose suction no matter how much hot were vacuuming up or how full the canister is. Absolutely love it

Who would've thought, smiling while cleaning? I know what you're thinking - its JUST a vacuum, right? wrong lol, its a wonderful collaboration of vacuuming and ingenuity mixed with joy. there are a plethora of features on this vacuum. When going through the daunting task of selecting a vacuum, i kept thinking "do i REALLY need the BEST vacuum? feature 'A' and feature 'B', how useful are they really?" the answer to that is yes. and yes. with yes. every feature is well thought out and you can tell they have ben refined to yield the form and function this has. do yourself a favor, and get it today. FYI i debuted purchasing this from other sites like the parent site itself, because they offer a pretty spectacular deal that includes ALL of the accessories. However with the sales going on during the holidays, i couldn't justify the price increase. and you know what? based off how well this works, i have no doubt they all work great. but at the same time, this just works great as is. so unless your pocket is deep, this will be perfect! cheers and try not to scare your pets too much with all the vacuuming you will be doing. after all who needs a broom with this thing!?
