Incredible suction, solid, quality build and tools that help get the job done. It's worth the extra money. Only downside is that it's a little heavy, but the lift-away helps make up for this.

So the vacuum is a little pricey but after poor experience with Hoovers we tried a entry level Shark and then moved up to this top of the line. It is a bit heavy but is great on carpet and hardwood floors.

Got tired of going through cheap vacuums because of thick hair on the floor clogging and burning out the weak models. So far, I love this one! Very versatile, and cleans with ease!

I totally enjoy using this vacuum. I had a Dyson prior to, and was skeptical about 'downgrading' to the Shark. My Dyson was great when I came to suction, but it eventually started to short out on a faulty wire. I did own the Dyson for a little under four years, and had the warranty (through BBY) to return for repair or exchange. Long story short, the Shark Apex DuoClean w/ Zero-M is amazing. Floor suction as good as the Dyson, plus additional features such as switching between multiple surfaces, extra tools for upholstery cleaning, more flexibility for reaching lower surfaces, and the removable canister from the frame. This puppy is a winner, in my books.

I have owned Kirby vacuums and down the line. This unit by far knocks it right out of the park. The engendering is spot on. The unit out cleans and out performs and vacuum I have ever used and the savingon vacuum bags alone is a big plus. This unit is rock solid and the only one I would buy. It's on the expensive side but cheap is expensive. The tools are very well designed and work well. The power brush is motor driven no vacuum and it has LED lighting in the handle. There is a little getting use to the operation of different parts ; But it's no different than getting a new car and learning to drive it. Awesome.

They say no more cutting animal hair on box, and a little picture of scissors with a line crossed through it. This is false. I have a Newfoundland and two Huskies and we still had to cut. However, the design and extra roller do make it easier for sure. The cap above the rollers that pops off with two buttons make it a whole lot easier "if" you need to cut the big roller free of hair. Yes the teeth pull some hair on the big roller, but it seems to comb the hair attached to it more than it should. The front roller catches most of the hair I think. I noticed after a heavy day or three good uses I could get at the bottom of the machine and pull out all the hair in one big chunk on the little roller which was satisfying. Probably easier to do it from the top like designed though.
Undoing the top after a heavy animal hair day or three good uses, pop the top that covers the rollers, not to much hair around microfiber roller, pull big chunk out of the teeth and some minor hair cutting from that one. Not to mention the front smaller roller just pulls out of place. I think it is quite efficient and makes a big difference. It definitely takes power away from the machine when it comes to suction and the main roller, but I am happy with it.
The big roller is combed dog hair from those teeth, making it a bit easier to cut. The easy access makes this job better than any other model of vacuum I have ever had.
The suction is not the best out of the top tier, but it is definitely sufficient, and I have no complaints. I do like the position of the lights on the machine. The lights on top of the rollers actually points down right in front of the machine for once. I especially like the wand when you disconnect. I took the wand off to clean under a bed, and that little light spotted out the dust bunnies for me. Nice.
Overall it is a great machine for a household with long animal hair floating about. The machine does a good job in mind of animal hair, but not what is promised. I still love it though as taking the bottom off to access the roller always sucked. Usually a 15 to 60 minute ordeal to clean the roller. Now I spend maybe a minute or five to get all the hair out. Almost there!

This vacuum literally does everything that it says it does. I have had it for a week now and look forward to vacuuming my house because this is so amazing. It sucks up everything that my previous vacuum wouldn't ever come close too. Having a parrot that tears everything up and leaves shells, torn up paper, seed and anything else that he gets his beak on. It cleans up right after him with one pass only. Very easy to use. It is nice to be able to take canister off and vacuum under his cage finally. Vacuuming under my bed has not been done since I moved in. I am so excited.

I did my research before investing in this vacuum. I was prepared to spend quite a bit of money, because I wanted something that would last and provide quality cleaning. I didn't end up spending as much as I thought I would have to, to receive this kind of flexibility and cleaning power. I have beautiful concrete-look tile downstairs with area rugs that prefer no brush--so cleaning is a breeze with the easy switches between modes (high, low carpet, hard floors, no brush) on the handle. It's also super easy to clean, which was another deal-breaker for me. Have had it for about 5 months now and just love it!

I have watched a lot of YT vids and this is a great purchased! We have a pet cat and this can pick up pet hair with ease. And I don’t have to worry about the hair tangle in the roller brush because it can take care of that.

We needed a new vacuum due to being sheltered in place for the past month with a dog now shedding everywhere and two kids running around. After doing some research I settled on the Shark Apex DuoClean because of its ability to clean hardwood and tile floors and handling Pet hair. I love this machine and how well it cleans. Its great seeing pet hair get sucked up into the vacuum when the machine is 4 to 5 inches from it. So, far we enjoy it and its worked well to clean the cars with the pet brush. It was a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

This vacuum delivers exactly the way I needed it. I have three women in my house and all shed plenty of hair. I have spent a good bit of money over the years on vacuums (other Sharks, Bissell, Dyson) but all have had the same issue: hair getting stuck in the roller. Until now, I have never had a vacuum that required me to have to spend more time cutting hair out of the vacuum than I do actually cleaning. So far, this is not the case with the APEX DuoClean. It is a little heavier than some other vacuums I have owned but well worth it.

After 14 years, my original Dyson died. I replaced with a new Dyson Ball, which I returned due to its incredibly cheap and flimsy components. Shocked at how far Dyson has fallen. I bought the Shark Apex and am fairly pleased with it. Suction and build components are well made. Dropped 1 star for the following reasons... Extremely unstable. Look at it wrong and it will fall over. Hose/wand are ridiculously short; beyond cumbersome. No brush attachment. Has room onboard for 2 of 3 accessories, but one spot won’t hold anything without it immediately falling off. I never thought I’d call a vacuum ugly, but this one is ugly.
It does the job and it does it well, however for a $400 vacuum, the brand’s flagship, I expected less of the problems I mentioned.
