This seems to be a good vacuum cleaner however there are items as to why I would not give it a 5 star rating. Pros: lightweight, great to use the lift away on stairs, and the head can go under furniture Cons: only one setting for both hardware and carpet so it is somewhat harder to push over the carpet than other vacuum cleaners, and somewhat awkward to remove the lift away portion.

Right away we could tell this vaccum would be great. The parts are good, directions simple..Really different with the weight up high, but very easy to use..and great to not have to buy bags..the suction is great. Good for pet hair. Works on bare floors or carpets just great. Not as hard to move around as my cannister vac.

So far so good. My dogs track in dust and dirt all of the time and this Vacuum sucks it all off of my rugs and my carpet. It's light weight but still powerful. The free standing mechanism is surprisingly helpful. Only gripes I have are the odd placement of the on/off button and the size of the refuse bin. Besides those things no complaints.

Amazing suction power, really great for pet hair. We have a short haired dog, older, who sheds a lot. This vacuum was perfect and it is very light. The only downside is that the canister is very small but it helps to keep the entire thing hygienic and constantly clean so that it doesn’t miss a beat. Recommended! Shark are kings of the vacuum game in 2020

This has been an amazing vacuum. We had a Dyson stick vac DC10 before this. I figured the DC10 would be the better vac as it cost more than twice as much but I was wrong. The Shark Apex has incredible suction power! It pulls every last bit of dirt out of carpets and works great on our hard floors. The kickstand thing is genius, I wish all vacs had that!

I purchased this vacuum two months ago and I'm extremely happy with it. The main purpose I needed a vacuum was to keep my apartment free of dog hairs. I have a frenchie and he sheds a lot. My apartment is hardwood floors and this vacuum cleans everything. The front soft brush gets every hair. It's light weight and flexible to go underneath the furniture.

This Shark is a workhorse and I love the front brush for my tile floors and the ability to keep hair off the roller! It is easy to use and can get places a larger vacuum can’t reach and has so much power! It is very simple to also use as a hand-held vacuum for above the floor cleaning and much more powerful than duster vacuums.

My first shark product..This thing has got great suction when I need stop stands up right LOVE that feature..its light weight until ur arms but makes for great work out at same time..Make sure u hold down on trash can when emptying DO NOT like that wish it had bag.LOVe the attachments very vertical

This vac has very good suction. It is much smaller than I expected, so it takes longer to do a large area. I guess that's my fault for not checking the size before I bought it. The dirt canister does not hold much so I have to empty it frequently. The filter also needs to be cleaned a couple of times whenever I use it, as it quickly gets clogged with hair. We have a cat which is why we wanted this vacuum with the pet hair accessory, but the filter is quite small so it doesn't take much hair to clog it up. Other than that, I am happy with the way it cleans well. It would be perfect for a smaller apartment since it doesn't take up much room to store it and you will have less area to go over.

Absolutely love this vacuum. Probably the best vacuum I've ever owned. Great at getting pet hair out of carpets/rugs. Works better than other bigger vacuums. You would not expect a vacuum of this size to clean as well as it does.

I have put this vacuum through it’s paces in the short time I’ve had it. I use it every day on wood and tile floors. It is incredible. It has handled the toughest jobs with ease. No overheating, no shut off, no loss of suction and no clogging. It picks up pet hair and food easily. We use pine shaving litter for our cats, which unfortunately, gets everywhere. Surprisingly, this vacuum has absolutely no trouble cleaning it up. It maneuvers so well around corners and furniture, though it does take a little getting used to steering. The lights on the front really help seeing in those dark corners. It also has no problem cleaning right along the edges of walls/baseboards. And the fact it can stand on its own is just another plus. I am extremely pleased with this little powerhouse. It’s exactly what I was looking for.

Super light, great suction. Would have liked a suction control valve like other shark vacuums. Really loud but I guess it has to be in order to have such great suction power.

First, the dust cup is small. This is a capable vacuum that can deep carpets and smooth floors without changing attachments. However, anyone looking at this as a primary vacuum for a large house need to look at bigger vacuums. This is great for apartments and small townhomes, condos, small vacation homes or perhaps that “upstairs vac”. The ability to clean tile or wood floors without changing attachments is a time saver. The brush that cuts long hair saves some hassle as well. You’ll still clean the Zero M roller, but not as often. For me, as someone that has allergies, this is a game changer. It is totally HEPA sealed. Not, just the filter, but all the gaskets and seals saved me from torture every time I vacuumed. Thank you Shark for making affordable vacuums HEPA sealed. That’s usually reserved for very high end vacuums.

I was eager to try out this small vac, seeing as how my last battery powered one finally failed (it was from another MFG). My home is mostly tile downstairs, and my dogs regularly use the dog door to go in and out all day. They bring in grass, dead leaves, and the occasional track of dried mud from their run in the rain. For these small messes, getting out the full size vac, with a required settings adjustment for hard floors, seems like a huge chore. I was pleasantly surprised with the simple unpacking and assembly. Unlike others that require a screwdriver, this simply connects to each required piece. The ability to remove the floor roller assembly with ease, and switch to a handheld use with the hose, makes this a great vacuum for the simple chore of cleaning your floor right the first time. Need to vacuum some curtains, easy, just decide which attachments to use, and you're ready in less than a minute. I liked the pop out stand with wheels. This made it easy to switch between the floor tool and the hose attachment, without needing to prop up the lower assembly; just stand free. In my testing on my tile floors, it easily sucked up all the loose debris around, and the built in floor lights make it easy to see under couches, beds, or tables. This did a better job than my full size vacuum on hard floors by a mile. Mind you, the full size is still stronger, but the larger floor assembly doesn't make it easy to reach under furniture, or clean along the wall. The shark didn't skip a beat! To empty, simply remove the container, and then press on the release over the trash can. I was surprised just how small a container it was, but just how much it picked up! It even has a "max fill" indicator for easy reference as you use it. There is a simple mesh filter on the top, with it's own latch entry point. I though that was well though out, and makes it even easier to clean! You'll also find a foam like filter on the main vacuum assembly that's also very easy to remove and clean! Compared to my previous small vac, this was much more powerful on carpet! Surprisingly, it grabbed a lot more pet hair than my full size vac, and did a fairly decent job at grabbing loose dirt; easily picking up a dry mud spot. I even vacuumed the entire bedroom after using my full size vacuum, and found that it still filled up the bin with even more dirt and hair! Also, the power cord is long enough! I was able to keep it plugged into my dining room, and make it half way into my living room, past the kitchen! Plus, without the heavier battery pack, it's not as bulky or heavy while you're walking around with it. The small size also made it easy to vacuum the car after a quick car wash! It didn't have trouble grabbing all the loose dirt on the floor mats. I also want to call out something that only a small number of people will likely ever have to do: speak with customer support. The first unit I received ended up having a loose piece or screw in one of the accessory attachments. I have a feeling it was something that may have popped out of place, or was damaged during shipment; so, I didn't try to use it or continue assembly. I reached out to SharkNinja Support, and was greeted by a friendly support staff who were eager to take care of the issue! They were proactive in letting me know when I should expect the replacement, and made sure I knew they were there if I ran into any issues getting the returned unit! Kudos to the SharkNinja support teams, and thank you for the great support experience! Overall, I'd highly recommend this vacuum for a home with pets, and those needing a versatile light vacuum for easy cleaning around the house! Plus, you can depend on their support team to help you if you do run into any trouble!

Excellent purchase! Digs deep into carpets and surfaces to suck out so much that I was not expecting. Easy to use, convenience of emptying contents after use and not having to replace any bags at all. Thumbs up!

Works great for our small apartment. We have hardwood floor and works great picking up hair from our 2 large dogs. Suctions a lot of dust. Was surprised at how much dust it vacuumed on our couches compared to our old vacuum. I also like the LED lights because it helps with seeing hair in dark areas. Only awkward part about it is holding the top motor when vacuuming couches. The hose attached to it very short and stiff. When you try to vacuum using the hose, the motor wants to retract back, kinda hurting your wrist trying to hold it in place. Other than that, does the job.

Strong suction considering the design. Most weight is at the handle but moves light and swift nonetheless. Bought it for someone with back issues and the weight isn't a problem.

This is a light weight and easy to use vacuum. One complaint is that you can’t use it with the roller off so I can’t use it on my chindi jute rugs. May have to find an alternative

It should say something when you buy a second one, so I can use at home & work! I love this vacuum. Light weight, great auction and gets in tight spaces. Highly recommend!

Vacuum is not big and bulky. Easy to grab and do a quick vacuum before leaving house if needed. Cord is long enough where I can vacuum more than one room.
