I have several dogs and cats in the house, and a chicken once in a while. None of these are as dirty as my kid. I washed the carpet in her room after I vacuumed it about four times until the canister dump was minimal. There were some slime stains, but otherwise the carpet didn’t look so bad. But the I shampooed half the room and took a short break. I was absolutely amazed and as equally disgusted at how dirty the other side was when I went back in. Plus, I went back and rewashed the first half two more times and feel I operated the machine as directed (not too fast). The water started getting clearer but I was picking up sand on the last go round. SAND. I’m a stickler about shoes in the house and pets on carpeted areas so I am flabbergasted at what this machine is picking up. I have owned many—and I mean many, carpet machines over the years and I’m miffed at how much I spent on $150 crap vacs that found their way out into the garage, never to be used again because the lack of suction. Granted I’ve owned this Shark for two days and one room, so perhaps suction diminishes over time but no other machine ever worked this wonderfully straight out of the box. It’s also sturdy and sensible. I mean, you can tell what goes where and why, everything clicks in and out well, rinses easily during clean up (my other machines have areas you need to dismantle in order to get dirt out of and corners that never rinse out). I’m getting used to the forward spray, backward suction and not controlling the spray with a trigger, but I can easily convert to the wand and address spots that way. No buttons to push when you switch because once the wand is picked up from the holder, it automatically switches. It also takes a few seconds to turn off after pressing OFF in order to get all the water to the collection bin to eliminate drips and puddles. I was also pleasantly surprised by the drip tray that comes with it so I can store the vac in my closet that has wood flooring. I wish I’d done this sooner.

Excellent product. The water holder or retainer is a little small so took several times to remove and refill but did a great job on my white carpeted stairs and upstairs carpet. Really takes the dirt and grime out and made them look new. Very satisfied.

This is the most amazing carpet cleaner I have ever had. I have had a number over the years and we have a house full of kids and multiple pets. I have never felt my carpets so clean! The formulas that come with it work terrific and also smell amazing. Biggest pro: The machine itself is super easy to clean. I threw out my last one because you couldn’t get into it to clean it. I can clean this one completely in just a couple minutes. Only con: The tanks are small capacity. I do have to fill it and empty it often. But that is minor to me. I am willing to do that for clean carpets and rugs.

I bought this to replace my old Hoover. It did not disappoint im a shark girl in general but hadn’t given this a chance. Having kids this is an essential it got the carpet almost looking new I regretted not taking before and after pictures so worth it! The only thing I did not love was how often I had to refill and dump the water.

This carpet cleaner is much more powerful and easier to use than I expected (I had a 20 yr old bissel prior). It has great suction and really saturates the area. I also like that it can suck up animal hair and separate it from the dirty water to keep the tank clean. Parts are also easy to take apart and clean. I wish it had a larger tank to continue clean up without having to dump the tank so often.

This product is very unsuspecting powerhouse. The unit isn’t very big for the amount of mess this thing pulls from carpets. It’s made our carpets look new. Easy to use. Carpets dries quickly afterwards. Setup instructions are easy to read. Can’t believe how far along carpet cleaners have gone. I’d highly recommend this product for any kinds of messes. The tools it comes with can pretty much clean any upholstery.

This shark carpet cleaner is excellent. Gets deep down to get the dirt out of your carpet very sturdy and easy to use. Does a wonderful job on thick or thin carpets. Would recommend to anyone

My carpet was fine once upon a time.... Then one day I was gifted a puppy. Lets just say my carpet didn't look so clean 6 months later. I wanted to rent a carpet cleaner but because I have a dog I decided to just buy this shark carpet cleaner. I love it. My carpet is looking better than ever and the built in attachment with the hose makes all the difference. The pet attachment didnt really work for me, the suction is just not there and the dirty water still ends up in the larger tank. The quality is there and seems like it will last years. It goes through carpet cleaning solution like crazy but the results are worth it. I did the research, you have pets than you need this. After using several times I can honestly recommend it!

The best carpet cleaner i have ever owned. I purchased this after buying a shark vacuum cleaner and finding it to be rhe best so i decided to try the carpet cleaner. Best decision I could have made. It cleans my carpets so well and has a faster drying mode plus the suction mode is awesome.

After reading a significant numbernofnreviews for carpet shampooers, i decided on this one and have not been disappointed. The machine is very easy to use, and incredible suction and convenient features like a jose cleaner.

The best suction of any carpet cleaner I’ve had. I love that the upholstery hose and attachments are already connected so I can deep clean against walls or work on a stubborn stain more directly. I’ve spent more on previous machines that didn’t come close to the cleaner power of this machine. Definitely recommend if you have pets it gets up hair with no effort!

BEST PURCHASE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Every person that has visited has raved how great it looks and smells! PROS: There were dark stains on the off white carpet that my old steam cleaner couldn't get out. The Shark got them out right away and they've stayed gone! Smells are gone. The solutions are incredible cleaners with a nice smell that isnt overpowering at all, easy on allergies and gets rid of smells. The oxyclean tank is a big benefit for extra cleaning. Had a pet mess and the special attachment for messes cleaned it with dirty water going into its seperate tank. Corners and under baseboards are easily cleaned, stairs were easy to do. The hose can be cleaned easily by pressing attament down on the top of machine and it washing it out. Dry mode dries tge carpet within 30 minutes. Attachments connect and are removed with ease with a blast sprayer for each. Tanks are easy to clean. Hair does not get trapped on brushes at all and goes into a sperate trap area to clean. Cons (but not a big deal considering what this machine does so well): Smaller clean tank and dirty tank. The machine doesn't doesnt alert you when the clean solution is out. No big deal honestly. I change out both at the same time. Also, the solutions (there are a few types to choose from plus the oxy) are hard to fine in stores so i purchased on Amazon with a 1-2 day delivery. When buying the machine it comes with 1 small solution and 1 small oxy to do about 1 smaller room.

Very easy to use and cleans very well! We have pets and thisbwas able to get all the hallway rugs and our carpets back to almost their original, purchased new look! The cleaning solutio. Is also easy to find in my area which was a definite must when deciding on which product to purchase.

The tank is not very big, but the suction power and tools make it an excellent portable carpet cleaner.

I have purchased many carpetcleaners over the years and this one is by far the best. Easy to use, dries the carpet and even cleans stairs. I have a husky who sheds 365 days a year and this cleaner does an excellent job of cleaning up the husky glitter. Best cleaner ever.

This carpet cleaner does not work on plush rugs. The reason I purchased, this was specifically to clean my plush rug when my dog has an accident. It shuts off immediately if you try to use it on a thick or flush carpet. However, I used it on the rest of my carpet and it works amazing. So now I am torn. I cleaned a small area of my Flatter carpet and the hair that was removed was outstanding. I could not believe there was so much hair in that small area. So I can imagine how much hair I would pick up if I clean the whole room. I do believe ultimately I’ll have to return it because I can’t have a shampooer that won’t clean all my rugs. But if you have flat carpet, you’ll love this product.

I am more impressed than I’ve ever been with a carpet cleaner. I have been a hard and fast BISSELL buyer for 20+ years. My last one just stopped sucking up water mid carpet cleaning. I’ve also been a loyal Dyson vacuum fan for the same amount of time. Recently I bought a shark vacuum and loved it so I decided to give this cleaner a shot. I am BEYOND impressed. It’s so easy to use? Push forward and fluid dispenses, pull back and water is suctioned. No triggers to pull. You can also put it into dry only mode if you just want to extract water. The best part, how CLEAN my carpet is. I actually used it over an area I had just cleaned with my bissell and the difference is night and day. I wish I had before and after pictures. I am a shark believer now. If you have pets you need this.
