Garbage!! It only worked for a month and has already broken … always showing 0 and nothing…

This shark air purifier is an upgrade for us. Make sure you flip the air filter upside down and take the air filter out because it is covered in plastic and it will not run properly. After reinstalling just plug the unit and power on. After a few seconds the unit will display the current air quality. After about a couple of hours the air quality in our home rose 5%. You can move it to any room and clear the air quality within minutes or even hours. It has a timer on it so it will come on at certain times. The best feature is being able to see how much percentage clean air you have in your area. We have a dog so knowing that the air is clear for us and our puppy is important. It’s small enough to fit in most places even under a table, but they suggest it being a few inches to a foot away from any obstruction for clear Wait for air to get in and out of the filter. Overall the look is clean with the white sides and black top periodically we wipe it down and check the filter. Again overall this is a great addition to any house or office.

This is nice to have especially considering all that's going around. Very easy to hook up very out of the way and very simple to put together. The filter is already in it. You just have to undo the bottom, remove the plastic and put it back in place. As soon as I turned it on it examined the air quality determined that it was terrible and began to work. I haven't tested it for any wireless function but at the same time I haven't cut it off either So I'm not sure what wireless function I need, I'm having a blast just being in clean air with confidence. The air quality in my place stays at 100 and this thing stays working. Not sure what the filters cost but I'm thinking about getting a few more of these for my 600 ft² and some replacement filters right off the bat. I have a bigger air filter for my living room. This feels a little more sleek in design and doesn't take up a lot of room so it's perfect for a bedroom or second bedroom or guest room. It will definitely keep your air at 100% like it does for me.

I’ve been using this air purifier for a few weeks now, and I can honestly say it makes a huge difference. The air in my room feels fresher, cleaner, and lighter. The first thing I noticed when I plugged in this air purifier is that it is much quieter than my last unit. Even when working harder, it isn't as intrusive in the room. Some other differences to other air purifiers- This unit will tell you what types of pollutants are in the air. You can switch the display to show percentage clean, the time it will take to be clean, parts per million of smoke, bacteria, allergens, dust, and pollen. I am not sure how accurate the "time until clean", however, is as it told me it would take 15 minutes to be clean and that didn't change for over half an hour! I prefer to keep the setting on percentage clean. I also like the color ring that tells me about my air quality. A quick glance across the room will tell me if it's good (blue), fair (yellow) or poor (red). I don't even need to be able to see the number to know. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I was really surprised there is not an app that connects to the unit. I would love to be able to see what's happening when I am not home, or change settings from my phone. In this day and age when EVERYTHING has an app, I am very surprised Shark does not have one. I have several air purifiers throughout my home. This is by far my favorite due to the fact that it is quiet, gives me a lot of information about my air quality (and what is in my air) and looks nice to boot!

I’ve been really impressed with the Shark Clean Sense Air Purifier 500. It operates so quietly that I barely notice it’s on, yet it does an amazing job at purifying the air and reducing allergens—perfect for allergy relief. The auto mode is a great feature, making it super convenient to use, and its compact size fits perfectly in my space. Setup was incredibly easy, and it’s been working flawlessly since day one. It's Springtime and the pollen count is climbing which means it's time to decide if you want to bake in your house with the windows closed or open up and become a snotty wheezing allergic mess. Unless you decide to get the Shark Air Purifier with True HEPA filter, then you can screen all those pollens, dust particles, fungus spores, etc. out and breath freely! Your Shark Air Purifier is the only thing in the box besides a quick start guide, direct and to the point. Open the box, remove the unit, remove the plastic around your included filter, and plug it in. Easy peesy! Your control panel has a lot built into the small real estate it takes up: *Power button: Turn the unit on and off *Brightness: Toggles the LED display brightness (this could be a nightlight at the strong setting...light sleepers beware!) *Timer: A shut off timer for when you just want to run it for a short time *Fan control: Set how fast the fan will spin to filter the air *Auto Button: Allow the unit to change fan speed on its own as air quality changes *Info button: Percentage of clean air, time til maximum clean air, and air particle count for three sizes, a neat feature if you're really into understanding your air situation *Filter Life: display how long your have left before needing to replace the HEPA filter *Child Lock: Stop the little ones from changing your settings *Volume: You can press the Info and Child Lock buttons to turn off the beeping sounds it makes when you press buttons It's really as easy as understanding the controls, once you plug it in and set how clean to make the air (really I don't see much reason to change it off Auto personally) you just step away and let it do its thing til it turns off. The same rules as other purifiers still apply such as making sure its not near a wall or something that would block the vents and don't get it wet. Filters are pretty pricey but they last 6-12 months depending on how dirty your air is and how often you run it. After a week it hasn't changed so there's no way to know how accurate this feature is. If you have allergies and you're looking into a purifier this is a highly recommended unit! It runs quietly, the display is easy to read and use, and the size is small enough to fit anywhere and not be obvious but large enough that compared to other smaller units I've owned it cleans the air quickly. Great product and highly recommended!

Pros: Size Convenience Style Build quality Cons: No Wi-fi Unboxing / setup: The box requires little setup. Simply unpackaged the device, remove the HEPA filter, remove the plastic around the HEPA filter, then reinstall and plug in. There is a QR code on the device to check out YouTube tutorials if needed. Build quality: The device was smaller and lighter than I expected which was a welcome surprise. It is large enough for a small room such as a bedroom or office. The build is mostly plastic but feels durable enough. I like the soothing indicator ring which glows color depending the quality of air in your room, the blue light is soothing but can be turned off at night if wished. Features: There is no Wi-Fi on this device so all controls are manual. The LCD screen will tell you when your filter need replacement. I recommend just leaving the filter on auto mode to get the most life out of your filter and keep the air clean. If needed, you can also set timers as needed. Child protect locks buttons are present to keep kids from messing with it. Due to the light weight size, you can easily pick it up and move it into the next room if needed. Filter replacement: Couldn’t be easier. Simply turn upside down, unscrew the bottom with a quick turn, remove the filter, replace and screw back in. Filters can be bought from Shark and do not look too expensive so it won’t cost an arm and a leg to replace every 6 months to a year.

This air purifier works beautifully. I use it in my basement apartment . The basement sometimes has a smell and my allergies get affected. I have been using the air purifier and the room has no bad smells . I like that it displays digital numbers to let you know when the air is clean. It also shows when you need to change the air filter. Plus it very quiet not like other air purifier. Its also very beautiful little machine. I highly recommended it.

This air purifier has completely changed my bedroom. It's now more comfortable to be in and my husband's allergies have improved! It helps get rid of odors (we have two cats), and gives great info on the air quality in the room. It's quiet and works in eco mode when it needs to. It's only been a month so we'll see how it holds up long term but so far so good. Only complaint is I wish it was wifi enabled... but I guess not everything in the house needs to be.

Out of the box there's really nothing to it but the machine itself, power cord is already attached and the filter is already inserted. You will have to untwist the bottom to remove the filter only to take it out of its factory sealed packaging and then reinsert it, then twist the bottom back to lock. Once thats done simply find a flat surface where it'll get good air flow ( they recommend 3 inches from the wall ), then plug it in and you're good to go! It immediately starts to analyze the air quality in the room. It starts off at 100% and depending on your air, mine only dropped down to about 92%but then quickly worked its way back up to 97%. In my opinion it's a little high of a price point for what you get. There's no Wifi control or app you can use to control it and nowadays it seems like every electronic device you buy has at least one or the other. Not Alexa compatible either. Overall its super easy to setup only literally takes a minute or two and you're on your way to fresh clean air! For the simplicity I'd recommend it to others

Noticeable difference in my air quality in a 1950s house. Quiet on lower settings, good white noise on higher settings. Filter seems like it will last a while. Good size. Will likely purchase another to put in another room.

Right out of the box, it was simple to put together. We keep it on auto and we have been very pleased with its performance. Fan is quiet. We will be purchasing another one for the rest of the down stairs. I particularly like how it shows the quality of air...both with the percentage, but also with light (yellow/red).

We got this to help our cat with asthma and it’s been wonderful. The difference in air quality is very noticeable. When dusting there is barely any dust compared to what I used to deal with. I also used to wake up every morning desperately needing to blow my nose. It’s not like that anymore. I keep this in a central location in my apartment near the main air vents. Works great, I highly recommend.

This is a great air purifier that doesn't take up too much room and is not very noisy. I love the feature that shows what percent the air has been cleaned.
