Let me just say, the Shark - Clean Sense Air Purifier MAX with Odor Neutralizer Technology is a game-changer for fresh and clean air in my home! First off, the coverage is incredible with its 1200-sq. ft range. It means you can enjoy purified air in larger spaces like living rooms, bedrooms, or even your whole apartment. I personally have been using in our bedroom to help my husband have a better night sleep due to his allergies and asthma. The HEPA filter is a true hero here. It captures 99.9% of dust, pollen, pet dander, and other pesky particles, making sure the air we breathe is as clean as can be. But what really stands out is the Odor Neutralizer Technology. This bad boy tackles unwanted smells head-on. Say goodbye to lingering cooking odors or pet smells… Now, let's talk about the design. It's sleek and modern, blending perfectly with any decor. Plus, it's super easy to use with intuitive controls and multiple fan speeds. Overall, I'm seriously impressed with the Shark - Clean Sense Air Purifier MAX. It's reliable, efficient, and leaves my home smelling fresh as a daisy. If you're looking for cleaner air and a healthier environment, this is the purifier for you!

There's not a lot to get excited about when talking about an air purifier but it is always nice to get an appliance that is needed (my allergies are super bad), and also works well. The Clean Sense Air Purifier MAX is a very good purifier for a good sized room, in our case our rather large owner's suite. Fortunately we live in a nice enough area that we can have the windows open for most of the summer because it rarely gets hot enough to need the AC but it is also nice enough to have flowering plants for a longer than normal season for everywhere else. In order to save my marriage I need something to help pull the dust and pollen out of the air to minimize my snoring as much as possible. We used to have a really good one but it got pretty loud and it burned through filters like nobody's business. We then got a large (and expensive) unit that seemed like it would almost be overkill but in fact it did worse than the smaller one it replaced. It has not been cutting it and it needed to be replaced. BTW, I think it was more intended for office/workplace environments where you run it hard and you also need to worry about VOCs and such. The Shark Clean Sense MAX was super easy to set up. Open up the bottom, take the nice and large filter out of its bag, replace it, close her up and finally plug in the odor neutralizer unit. Firing it up it started up in auto mode, ramped up to high fan speed because it said the air quality was only 83% and then kept going until it was satisfied that it was up to 100%. This was a good way to start things off but I'm going to keep it on a more constant, and lower level, fan speed so that it isn't quite so loud when we are trying to sleep. Level one is virtually silent, and in a dead quiet room, you can just barely hear it going. I'm going to pause here to point out the one quibble I have with the Clean Sense MAX. Why does this unit have the only area that doesn't expose the 360 degree filter to the air, on the front? Shouldn't this be on the back that will be most likely against the wall? As it is, it is really only pulling in air from the sides. This would be fine if these were the only openings because the filter maintenance for the MAX is to flip and rotate the filter to maximize exposure. A nice 90 degree turn and a flip would expose all new filter area, but now we have 270 degrees being used (though the back quarter would see less flow). That's just me thinking logically about the device. As for the air quality sensor suite on the MAX, it's a nice to know but not really needed. Also, the Odor Neutralizer had me worried a bit at first because it was so strong upon taking it out of the sealed pack, I figured that it was just going to make our room smell a little too scented, but once installed and dialed in to the right level, it does just add a nice undertone of scent (though I tend to find that air purifiers do a pretty good job with scents just through the regular carbon pre-filters). All in all, the Shark Clean Sense Air Purifier MAX is a nice, unobtrusive, and quiet air purifier. I'm pretty happy with it so far, and my wife did say that my snoring has tapered back off over the last week, I'm looking forward to seeing if it has as solid of an effect on the amount of dust I have to clean up, but that is going to take more time to test. If you are looking for a really good purifier, at a good price, you can't do much better than the Shark MAX.

SHARK MAKES THE VERY BEST AIR PURIFIERS!

I was quite pleased to receive my Shark Clean Sense Air Purifier Max with Odor Neutralizer Technology. I am using this one in my kitchen because we have allergy issues and that was the only room left that needed it. We have Shark purifiers already in our bedrooms, office and TV room and really like how they work. Upon opening the outer shipping carton you'll find the box containing the unit. It's not super heavy and is round in shape. Before using you must remove the plastic from the included filter and then replace inside by opening the bottom. There is also the Odor Neutralizer that came in a small cardboard box which you place on top of the unit in its designated area. The Shark states it delivers fast, powerful and quiet purification for up to 1200 sq. ft. The HEPA filter captures 99.98% of airborne particles and the odor neutralizer guards agains odors by releasing a fresh scent. I am normally highly allergic to perfumes and scents but found this smell did not bother me at all which was a nice surprise. There are some settings available on it to control how much scent is released as well. When placing in your room be sure there is at least 3 inches clearance from walls and objects for good air flow. Then you are ready to plug it in and get started. On top of the unit there are 4 air quality views to press and also a TIME TO CLEAN which is the estimated hours and minutes until the air is clean in your room. There is no remote control with this unit which was a bit of a surprise as all my other Shark purifiers have one. However since it's in the kitchen it won't be much of a hassle for me. I simply set mine on AUTO and let it decide how to do its thing. You can set the fan speed at what you desire if you don't wish to use the AUTO mode. The airflow comes out of the top and I did find the Shark to be very quiet, especially on the Auto/Eco mode. Often it isn't running at all and only kicks on when needed saving energy and your filter life. On the front there is a digital readout stating the percentage of air quality in the room. If the circle is blue your air quality is considered GOOD at 85-100%. If it's yellow then the air is considered FAIR at 70-84% and if RED it's poor quality at 0-69%. You can also dim the lighted circle or turn off if it's in a room where light might be bothersome. Overall the 5 days I've been using this purifier I've been extremely happy with its effective performance. It cleans the air very well in my kitchen, especially after cooking. Also it's not complicated to use which is another great feature. I love Shark air purifiers and this is no exception. I can highly recommend and it's well worth the purchase!

I’ve been using this air purifier for a few weeks now, and the difference in air quality is incredible. It’s quiet, sleek, and super easy to set up. Within a day, I noticed less dust in the air and my allergies have improved significantly. I also love the auto mode – it adjusts the fan speed based on air quality, which is super convenient. The filter indicator is helpful, and it’s nice knowing exactly when it’s time for a replacement. It's been great for my apartment – I sleep better and wake up feeling more refreshed. Highly recommend this to anyone dealing with allergies, pets, or just wanting cleaner air in their home!

If there's one thing my house is starting to get known for amongst family and friends, it's that the air smells fresh and clean, even though I have 2 big dogs, plus my family of three, living in a small 1500 square foot home. It's really the dogs that surprises them though. I'm always hearing comments about how someone stepping through the front door would never guess there were dogs in the house. Now this review may be specifically for the Shark Air Purifier, which does work great and we'll get to that in a moment, but it can't take all the credit. That's because this Shark is now my 5th Air Purifier, although it is my 1st Shark branded one. Besides being used for the obvious, a couple of these also perform the task of providing background fan noise, which my wife and daughter can't sleep without. That said, this Shark actually isn't as good at providing that overnight fan noise, because it's one of the quietest ones of the bunch! That's a good thing though. Not only is it quiet, it's also very smooth, which speaks to the build quality. Nothing is vibrating, squeaking, tapping, knocking, etc. It's just a very well built solid unit. Even at the highest fan speed it still sounds smooth. Back to the primary purpose though, it's not easy to grade how well it purifies the air compared to the others. Generally speaking, they perform the same task, pulling air through a filter medium. As far as cycling the air, we already talked about how smoothly it does so, but a smooth airflow isn't just better for noise, but also efficiency. As for the filter, it definitely seems to be high quality. Put those together and it's easy to see why this unit is rated to handle twice, if not more, area than all of my other air purifiers. There is one way though that this Shark purifier makes it a bit more obvious as to how well it works, and that's when it's in auto mode. It senses the smallest changes in air quality and will kick up the fan speed as soon as it senses the quality drop, and each time there's something quantifiable happening to back it up. An example is when we're cooking, especially when we use a cast-iron pan. This Shark purifier will be on the other side of the house from the kitchen and still pick up on it instantly and get to work. One feature that really sets this apart from my other purifiers is the added scent. Not just the fact that it has this option, but also that it's adjustable. Personally I like it at one of the lower settings, it's not so strong to be overpowering but just enough to add a little bit of freshness without making it seem like you're trying to cover something up. All said, this Shark purifier makes an excellent case for being the best purifier in the house. In fact, its only competition of the bunch is a high-end purifier that comes in at twice the cost! Of the rest it easily takes the top spot. Factoring the cost into it though you get an excellent case to make this the best purifier you can get for the money.

To start the design of this air purifier is simple and sleek. It doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb. It cleans the air for up to 1200 ft. and keeps the room smelling fresh. The odor neutralizer technology really works and has a nice fresh scent. The display shows exactly what your air quality is. It’s so quiet I have to check to make sure it’s working. I love the display and how easy that controls are to use. I feel better knowing my family is breathing clean fresh air. I have noticed the ability to breathe clean air allows my family and friends to not look for their asthma pump every time they come over. I have had many brand ranging in prices. This device is a blessing!!’ Great job Shark!

This purifier seemed easy to set up out of the box. Take the scent disc out of the foil package and insert it. Pull the filter out, remove the plastic bag and insert the filter in the purifier. Put the purifier in an area where it has access to an open area and plug it in. The control panel is easy to understand and the instructions are easy as a backup. The default setting is auto and will show you the quality of the air from good down to fair. After your purifier has hit the good range for 10 minutes, it will switch to eco mode. This optimizes the life of your filter. I don't know the life expectancy of a filter of the cost. I would bet that the life would depend on how dirty the air is. The purifier has other settings on the display too. You can mute the beeping, which is very handy. You can quickly check your filter life too. Another feature that could be handy if you have little ones is the child lock setting. I'm still learning as far as how the purifier works and what it filters. We have cooked some stinky and greasy stuff yet the purifier still says we have 100% clean air. We were at 85% when first plugged it in but it quickly changed to 100%. Time will tell.

I like the evolution of Shark products in the past few years. They sure UP'ed their game and this Air-Purifier is no exception. I have two other AirPurifiers in the house but this one is hand down The Best one. And now that i saw how cool is to have that odor eliminator pod i wouldn't have any other way! It comes at a great price and it really takes care with ease of 1200sqft. I love the IQ function, after using on all 4 speeds i found myself keeping it on IQ / Auto most of the time. For my bedroom it works the best and plus runs very quietly, i often forget it's there. The design is sleek and i like screen and touch at the top i thinks it is really easy to use. Pretty much plug and play after you take out of the box. The main screen it shows in real time what is the situation with the air quality and it is visible believe me! U can also adjust the brightness or turn it off but it looks very cool with them on. I might switch it with the one in my living-room since it is ideal for larger areas. And plus i won't have to buy air fresheners since that odor-pod really changes the way room smells and it's super economic too! So far so good i've been really happy with it!

This is the second Air Purifier I have inside my house. The other one is larger in the living room. This one is in my office/workspace. This is perfect for that. Why so, because it is quiet and doesn't make much noise. If I record any videos or do any group chats online nobody hears it. The size is not too big. It can easily fit in the corner of my room. The setup is a breeze. I was shocked to see the air quality in my room so low. After about 20 minutes this thing had jumped up to over 90% clean air. So I guess it is working. The Air Purifier makes a satisfying sound with the touch display. You can easily view the air quality and PM levels. The Auto Mode has four different settings. Ranging from low to high. I usually leave it on low and just let it do its thing. You can set an auto-shutoff based on your liking as well. That way it's not running when it doesn't need to. The display even shows filter usage. So when it's time to change that filter you know. I just wish there was a remote that came with it. Overall this is a good air purifier for an office or bedroom.

I own several items from Shark brand, from robotics vacuum cleaner, coffee maker to a blender. I am always impressed with the quality of all Shark brand items that I own so far. We have 2 big dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Siberian Husky. So, dogs smell and hair balls are inevitable in my house. Initially, I was looking at the competition brand that's synonymous to household fans/air purifier. But then I stumbled upon this air purifier from Shark. At first, I wasn't sure because all the features sound like gimmicky or marketing stuff. But I went ahead and chose the Shark brand anyway because of the price and feature it offers. Set up is easy and effortless. I didn't realize how big the air purifier is when it arrived. But, I do need one that covers the kitchen, dining area and family room. Upon turning it on, it analyzed the air quality and immediately put it at 96% on Auto fan setting. I didn't pay attention too much into it and went to sleep. The next morning, my mom toasted some pastries a tad too long and the whole first floor smelled like burning smell. To my surprise, this Shark air purifier went to work right away! It kicked the fan to stronger power and it detected the air quality to 76% due to the smoke. I was super impressed! Within 15-30 mins, the smell was gone and the fan slowed down again and the air quality was back to the 90s again. Well done, Shark! I am a believer!

We have chinchillas and you could smell their cage sometimes walking in the house. With the purifier, you can only smell them when you're next to them. The purifier kicks into higher fan modes when we cook (set on auto). This covers our kitchen, dining room, and living room (open floor plan). A second one would be overkill, but I've thought about it.

My girlfriend and i have been looking for awhile for an affordable air purifier that could handle our downstairs area. And this thing does just that and more. We first turned it on and showed 71 percent clean air, and after about 18 minutes on high it was reading 98/99. The smell cartridge does have a noticeable smell but not over bearing. Weve had it going now for a few weeks and just leave it running in auto, very quiet which is a HUGE pro for us, as we were not interested in a noisey unit. We actually liked it so much, my girlfriend actually bought one for her parents and there 2 dogs.

The air purifier is a breeze to use and this is my second shark air purifier and they both have the same reliability and ease of use. The shark air purifier is ready to use with minor adjustments right out of the box. The internal filter needs the bar removed, the odor neutralizer screws in at the top and then you just plug it in and pick your setting. The settings are very easy to use, fan speeds, brightness, timer and all sorts of information panels. I personally like the percentage counter because you can actively see the percentage and see it rise or drop depending on what activities you are doing thereby allowing you to maybe cutback on some things that are lowering your air purity. The footprint is small and cylindrical shape does allow for placement almost anywhere and it blends in beautifully. The fan noise is pretty low up until the second fan strength and even when powered to the third setting the fan noise is minimal. I truly recommend this purifier for its performance and great information easily accessible via the counter screen.

I own 2 other air purifiers and the Shark beats them any day and all day. Not only is it smarter, but it’s quieter, smaller and better looking. This the first air purifier that I had that works correctly when automatically sensing the air. I have had many other air purifiers (and currently) that have an auto function that do not work right all the time. This shark is always auto sensing while providing you a live read out. The screen is right up front and tells you a variety of details about your air. The screen normally shows you an overall percentage of your air quality ranging from 0% - 100% particle free. It also has a lighted ring around the screen giving you a prompt answer about what state about your current air quality. Blue - your clean, yellow - your air is getting there, and red - your needs some extra cleaning. The auto mode also adjusts the fan speed from off to high. The first purifier I have seen that will turn off the fan when it’s 100% yet continuously monitoring your air quality in case it needs to kick back on. Hit any of the top touch sensitive buttons to get additional information including how many hours the shark thinks it needs to clean your air, filter life, different particle sizes (currently in your air). I took a few photos showing what my read outs were at a 79% air quality. My favorite feature is being able to dim or completely turn off the screen and lights while it still operates. Turning off the lights and screen is ideal for a bedroom if you need darkness like me. I have mine in the living room and like having the display on at all times. You also have the ability to set a timer from 1 hour up to 12. I turn mine on when I get home and put the timer on so I don’t have to remember to shut it off before I go to bed. What amazes me is the size and air cleaning ability is of this Shark Clean Sense. It’s capable of cleaning 1,200 sq. ft. of living space. I have another name brand air purifier for the same amount of space and it’s over double the size of the Shark and much louder! Lastly, the odor neutralizing technology disk is pretty cool. Don’t worry if you don’t like strong smells you can turn it off or put it at the most Minimal such as I do. I like the smell to be faint almost unnoticeable and this does exactly that on the lowest setting. If you want or need more odor defense put it on a higher setting or adjust it as needed. I’m not sure how long it will last but I would probably get it replace once it’s out as I do like how minimal of a scent it’s able to produce to give that light clean atmosphere.

About two years ago my family began using a super fancy and extremely expensive Air Purifier. Strangely the purifier left the air smelling like hot glue, or something burning. I thought that maybe I had failed to unwrap part of the HEPA filters inside, but I found no such issue. Though the purifier said that the filter was good for hundreds of additional hours, we stopped using the device. A new filter cost over $100 and we didn't want to risk wasting so much additional money. Recently, my wife opened a salon in our house and we wanted to ensure that her clients aren't able to smell our pets. I didn't want to use the existing purifier, so we ordered the Shark Purifier. Both of us were immediately impressed. We haven't needed to bother with adjusting any settings or trying different modes, the automatic mode has been spectacular. The purifier is extremely quiet and starts working as soon as it detects any particulates in the air. After just a few hours we noticed the air feeling cleaner and actually smelling fresh thanks to the "Odor Neutralizer" tabs. While I love how simple and effective the Purifier is, there is very limited information about what they only seem to refer to as "Odor Neutralizer Technology". There is a little plastic disk that twists into the top of the device that seems to be basically an air freshener. There is no real mention of what the scent is, or how long the scent is intended to last, or where to buy replacement scents. Thankfully the scent is not too strong and actually seems fairly pleasant - similar to the scent of a dryer sheet. There seem to be generic replacements sold on several 3rd party websites, but nothing seems to be official. Besides the oddness of the "Odor Neutralizer Technology" discs, we love the Shark Purifier. The display clearly indicates how clean the air is and automatically adjusts the speed of the fan to ensure that the air is cleaned back to 100%. The smell of pets and cooking has been eliminated from the air and my wife's salon clients have never mentioned any smells in the air. As long as the odor neutralizer discs don't cause problems, I am completely satisfied.
