    Better than sweeping I suppose

    1. Does not pick up kitty litter and hard food bits unless in high power mode. Higher power mode decreases battery life. Expect up to 15 minutes of battery life if you actually use it to clean up after your pets. 40 minutes is an absolutely disingenuous claim. 2. Supposed to be "total allergen seal", except the hose connections have terrible dust on the outside meaning it leaks (see pic). Paid $50 extra for that "feature". 3. High power mode is activated via trigger mechanism which means you need to hold the trigger the whole time you clean. 4. Did an ok job in high power mode on hard floors and low pile rugs. Picked up short hair ok on normal power mode. 5. Will replace sweeping, but don't expect it to replace a more powerful vacuum cleaner. 6. Label stickers are not easy release, so purchase a bottle of goo-gone if you want your vacuum to look nice (see pic). 7. Overall, disappointing product. Losing most stars for points 1 and 2.

We have always been a Shark family. Normally, we are more than happy with their products since we are a family with small children and animals. This is by far the most disappointing product we have owned. I have spent more time cleaning the hair out of the little wheels than I've actually ran it. Not a good vacuum for GSD owners. Hair gets caught behind the brushless roll and it will not come out. Maybe it's great for those who kids are super tidy and their animals never shed but definitely not for a house of multiples. Not super impressed with it's suction either, I'm going over areas multiple times just minutes after vacuuming. We have all hard flooring very little carpet and I wont be even trying it out on those areas!

I got this because it calls itself "pet plus". I have two dogs that shed like crazy. This thing vacuums OK but it gets dog hair stuck in it's wheels so you end up dragging strands of dog hair. If I had not thrown away the box I would return it.

The Shark cordless pet plus anti-allergen vacuum is a thing to behold. The Pros: Cordless Good Charge Good Design Powerful The Cons: No stand Accessories are a mess It's a trap! Here are the pros I encountered using the Shark cordless pet plus anti-allergen vacuum. First, I have three dogs, and they shed terribly. On most days, I find myself vacuuming with my older cordless Dyson vacuum (which by, the way, is terrible; it does not hold a charge, and it does not pick up everything, and we maintain the vacuum). I found that it takes an hour to an hour and a half to fully charge the cordless vacuum, and you can use it on full power for about thirty minutes. What I mean is, there is a trigger located conveniently on the handle, where you pull it, and the power increases for hard-to-pickup hair/dust/crumbs. The increase in power ensures that I do not have to go over an area more than once while vacuuming (this is especially useful with dog hair), but also I can pick up dust that settles under hard-to-reach areas too (like under a bed). You can see the dust being removed from the floor on full power as you are vacuuming, thus removing any allergy-related particles that settle. Additionally, the vacuum is powerful, and on full power, I can vacuum my 1,400 square foot house with no issues. However, with my cordless Dyson model with the same "power enhancement mode," I clean for ten minutes, and only half of my house is vacuumed. Again, this Shark vacuum holds a charge, its powerful suction is useful for pet hair and for allergens that pollute the air, but it also takes little time to recharge. More so, the accessories are good, but the specific wand that you use to vacuum pet hair off a couch is OK. The issue I ran into is that the hair sticks to the tool, and you are spending more time removing it from the attachment piece than from the couch. Although not a terrible thing (because it takes the hair off well), it can be a bother for someone who does not want to spend the time to clean the attachment wand off. Lastly, the Shark cordless vacuum can clean both hardwood floors (which I have) but also low-pile area rugs (which I too have) in my home. If you plan to use this on a high-pile (shag-like) area rug, be cautious as it does not do as good a job of vacuuming. I noticed the vacuum becomes louder, and crumbs do not come up as well; it is not a big deal for us as we have another vacuum that can vacuum this rug. Now, the Shark cordless vacuum does not come with a stand of any kind. Meaning, if you plan to hang it up to charge, you will have to carefully lean it up against the wall to prevent it from falling (the wheels may slip, so place it up against another object to prevent the vacuum from slipping). Although this is not a deal-breaker by any means, I wish Shark followed suit with what Dyson does and include a wall mount for your vacuum to conveniently charge and a place to store the accessories when not in use. Speaking of the accessories, when you are not using them, you cannot attach them to the vacuum for storage, and they sit on your floor where you store the vacuum waiting for use. Hopefully, Shark provides a wall hanging mount that will allow you to attach accessories to it soon. Lastly, the trap on the vacuum is easy to release and remove the vacuumed debris. However, where the advertised "release and go" is not so easy to use. Once you press and release the trapped debris, sometimes hair gets tangled around the filter inside it; thus, the quick and release system fails, and you have to stick your hand inside the trap and pull out the hair that gets tangled in and around the filter. Overall, the Shark cordless pet plus allergen vacuum is easy to use, and it has a lot of power to pick up dander, pet hair, and dust. Where it lacks is an accessory storage option and trap cleanout. Though, these faults should not sway someone from purchasing this vacuum. I highly recommend the Shark cordless vacuum, and it makes cleaning more enjoyable/painless.

Literally awful for pet hair. It pushes around the pet hair instead of sucking it up. The fancy light just shows me how well it’s doing at NOT picking up hairs. If you’re looking to pick up rice or crushed cereal this is great but for pet hair from a large dog like husky or chocolate labs like mine keep looking. It’s called a pet plus but it’s honestly not good for large dogs or breeds that shed fur. You can see from my photos it’s just pushing this dog hair around the house without ever suctioning it up.

I bought this vacuum for my Mother on Christmas. I was skeptical buying a cordless vacuum but I figured it was lightweight so I gave it a try. What a joke, this thing won’t pick up cat food off hard floors. It pushes debris into piles instead of sucking them up. And that’s with a fresh charged battery. On carpet it just balls up the lint and leaves little lint balls all over. I really don’t know what it’s good for. Maybe cobwebs?

Light but powerful - best for second vacuum

I chose this as a second vacuum to use upstairs to avoid having to lug the heavy full-sized vacuum up thee stairs. It will see infrequent use but still needs to be powerful. I was especially interested in seeing if the battery life was sufficient and whether the "paddles" actually kept hair from getting caught in the roller. The vacuum is extremely lightweight, easy to maneuver. The lower portion is very compact due to the small size of the roller, which allows it to be pushed well under furniture (see photo) - I can't do this with any other vacuum. To check the performance, I ran the vacuum over an area that had been recently cleaned using a full-sized machine and I was surprised to see how much dust it had picked up. The battery performance was fine. It did not run out in the time that I cleaned the entire second story. I checked the roller and nothing got rolled up into the roller brush. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of such a small, lightweight machine.

First wireless vacuum and not looking back!

I recently purchased the Shark Cordless Pet Plus Stick Vacuum from Best Buy and I am extremely happy with my purchase. The vacuum is incredibly easy to use, thanks to its lightweight design and cordless feature. I can effortlessly clean my entire home without worrying about tangled cords or being tethered to a power outlet. One of the best features of this vacuum is its remarkable silence. I read reviews talking about how loud this vacuum was and the first time I turned it on I laughed! All my previous vacuums must sound like jet engines compared to this one. Despite its shorter battery life, which is common for cordless vacuums, I found that it was still sufficient to clean my one bedroom apartment without any issues. The vacuum charges quickly, and its slim and flexible enough to quickly clean up any cereal or small crumbs my son drops. (If you have the clunky wired vacuums you know what I mean) One of the most impressive aspects of this vacuum is the amount of dust and hair it was able to pull up from my carpet. Even though I thought my carpet was clean, the Shark Cordless Pet Plus Stick Vacuum was able to reveal how much dirt and pet hair was still trapped in my carpet fibers. I was amazed at how effective the PowerFins and Self-Cleaning Brushroll were at removing even the most stubborn pet hair and debris. ( I have long curly hair and I have not had any issues so far with that.) I also appreciate the Anti-Allergen Complete Seal technology that traps dust, allergens, and pet dander inside the vacuum, preventing them from escaping back into the air. This may be the only con, and that is that this machine traps so much dust that dumping it out in the trash can sometimes make a little dust cloud so I have to be gentle when I do it so as not to spread that around. Overall, the Shark Cordless Pet Plus Stick Vacuum is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a versatile, powerful, and quiet vacuum cleaner. It has made my life so much easier, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new vacuum.

I have tried a couple cordless stick vacuums before with varying levels of disappointment. Most suffered from inadequate suction / air velocity making them ineffective at picking up much. So at first, when I received this Shark I was skeptical as to what it's abilities would be. But went ahead and put it through it's paces, keeping an open mind. First, the box it was packed in was excellent, everything fitting in snugly. After pulling all the parts and accessories out of the box, putting the individual pieces together is a simple and straight forward task. All parts "snap" together, and are held with locking tab. To take apart, just hold down the lock tab and pull apart. Next charging the battery. After a couple uses and charges, I found you can expect it to take around 2 1/2 hours for full charge. Then popped in the battery and tested suction right at the power head. The power head has 2 settings for the vacuum motor, and I was quite surprised at how much suction and air velocity the unit developed. Okay, so far, so good. Snapped on the power brush and went over the entire carpet. This thing picked up pet hair, dirt, and even some cat litter I sprinkled on the carpet as a test. It really did a good job - left nothing behind. I also liked the swivel power floor brush - it allows for easy maneuvering around corners, table legs etc. As to run time, I got about 15 minutes with floor brush running. Although I didn't use it, there is a turbo mode for vacuum that will certainly shorten run times. The included tools seem well thought out and designed. I tried the small brush with great results. Also included is a crevice tool, and a flat brush for such things as blinds, on top of shelves, etc. One thing - when the power head is snapped to the wand and carpet brush, it will not stand up. You need to unsnap power head and hang on front of the wand as shown in pic. In summary, this vacuum seemed to do nearly as good as the full sized (also Shark) vacuum we use. I am impressed!

I currently own the Shark IONFlex 2X Douclean cordless pet vacuum and have been very happy with it. The only complaint I have is the roller accumulates hair that has to be manually removed. I was hoping this vacuum would fix that problem. One problem battery operated vacuums have is the limited time of use before requiring recharging. I like that Shark made this battery removable; however, I wish they would have included a backup battery, since I find myself forgetting to charge the battery after cleaning. This vacuum did a great job cleaning both hardwood floors and carpet. The boost trigger is a great addition, but seems to be designed for larger hands. The most awesome feature Shark included on this vacuum was the bristle head, which prevents hair from wrapping around it. Pros Great cleaning of hardwood and carpet Removable battery Bristle head prevents hair accumulation Cons Only one battery included Debris catches on dustbin door (see photo) Power boost trigger not designed for small hands I would recommend this vacuum to anyone who would like a powerful battery operated unit that allows for swapping batteries. I would especially recommend this for anyone who has a family or dog with long hair. Just remember to pick up an extra battery or look for a package with two.

This vacuum works well, and overall I like it. I think spending a little extra for a Dyson would’ve been a better choice. However, the Shark is easy to use, moderate noise level, and fairly light. You do have to empty the collection basket after every use (multiple times if you have a big house), and I have to leave it charging whenever it’s not in use so that it doesn’t run out of battery. Overall it is good, and better to use than my old corded vacuum.

Very disappointed. I picked this vacuum due to the power fins pictured, but when I received the item, it has a regular brush head with teeny-tiny power fins and a regular brush roll. It even has the picture with the power fins on the box. I will try to rebox it and return.
