One of the best stick vacs we've used

O.K., so, we have a variety of animals and we love them all! We have a cat, a dog (hound/beagle mix) that sheds like crazy, a few rats, a Black Mexican Kingsnake and coming this week, a Bearded Dragon! So, needless to say, we needed a good stick vacuum that's designed for pets, specifically. It sure beats pulling out the full-sized vacuum when you just need to quickly vacuum something simple, like some substrate spilling onto the floor during cleaning, stray treats and such, lol.
Enter this Shark vacuum. Now, I am a huge fan of Shark/Ninja products, but I will still review honestly, as I have had some Shark/Ninja stuff that have just been "duds" in the past. However, I love their Hot/Cold Coffee Brewing System, as well as their cooking products, such as the Foodi line (grill, pressure cookers, etc). I will say that this vacuum, pun intended, sucks in all the best ways.
Unboxing is pretty standard fare for a vacuum and you do feel that you get your money's worth. Inside is the vacuum itself, several attachments for it and the instruction manual. Now, Shark/Ninja branded items are notorious for putting shipment protection stickers all over the product. Which I don't mind, as they do tend to remove easily with no residue. This is the first Shark/Ninja product I've gotten that I've had problems in this department. All of the stickers and tape, etc, came off great and left nothing behind. But there was this one notorious one on the stick part of the vacuum, closer to the bottom where it attaches to the base. It was a yellow sticker and it just peeled off in pieces and left a ton of gunk. I had to take the Goo-Gone to it. Luckily, it removed everything and didn't eat away at the paint, so that's a plus. I also wanted to comment on the color. It's really nice - it's shiny and metallic looking and seems pretty durable.
It was already about half charged when we unboxed it, so I was able to do a quick test vacuum, immediately. I put it on charge and it was done pretty quickly. I really wasn't paying attention, as I've had a lot going on this past week, but if I had to guess, it was fully charged within 45 minutes or so. It does have a 40 minute run-time, according to the packaging. With all of my use of it this week, that seems to be about on par. I've used it on both carpet and regular flooring and both settings work fantastic. I was impressed with the floor/no carpet mode as with most vacuums, on a bare floor, it just scatters the dust around. Not this guy. It pulls it right in. I even vacuumed my Gaming/Media room over the weekend and it pulled everything out of the normally problematic areas I have in there. And what it didn't, the stick attachments too care of super easily. I love the Rubber parts of the underbrush, as this works great in pulling up hard to get pet hair. Our dog sheds a TON and her fur is so thick and course, it tends to "weave" itself into other fabrics. This vacuum has tackled her fur with ease. I also love the trigger that ups the power temporarily, when needed. If you have a problem piece of debris that's stuck and just won't pull up, hold the trigger in and odds are pretty good that it'll grab it then.
Outside of the above, I can't really think of any other cons besides the stickers. If I had to nit-pick, the only thing I can come up with is that I do wish the dirt bin was larger. I'm being honest...this thing pulls up way more dirt and stuff from the carpet than even our full-sized vacuum does....as well as more than our robot vacuum, even. But just the convenience of being able to quickly spot clean without dealing with cables is fantastic. Cleaning out the snake enclosure is super easy now, as once I get all the Aspen bedding out, the vacuum takes care of what little is left, even the dust from it. Stray rat pellets and treats or other food that's found it way to the carpet all come up great.
Overall, I'm giving this vacuum a 5/5 star rating. I just hope that it holds up well, over time.

Shark - Cordless Pet Plus with Anti-Allergen Complete Seal - Blue
Summary:
Awesome!
Pros:
* Handheld. The unit is easily held in hand and is comfortable to use and maneuver.
* Familiar. This unit is similar to the IX141, which I also own and love.
* HEPA filtration. Captures fine particles down to .3 microns.
* Quick release waste bin. Press a button, shake, close the lid. You're done emptying.
* Designed for pets! This unit excels at lifting pet hair/fur from the carpet.
* Detachable battery. This is a new perk. The battery can be removed so you can plop in spares for long sessions.
* Attachments. The provided attachments cover most use cases. Tight spots. Sofas. Blinds and ledges.
Cons:
* I don't have any cons. However, I will offer some wishes.
Wishes:
* I wish they included a wall mount system, or
* A battery charging dock as part of wall mount, or separate (similar to Tineco vacuums)
Use:
I have a townhome with four stories. I also have a miniature schnauzer and a corgi. The corgi sheds. A lot. Even with monthly grooming sessions, his hair can be a problem to manage when things get super busy. We have a Shark stick vacuum I assume this is an iteration upon model IX141. It is amazing. Just like that one, this unit maneuvers easily is easy to remove and replace attachments and is easy to empty. It does an amazing job picking up fur from my corgi that the other vacuums I own just don't compete as well.
One test we do is to use a vacuum on our dark grey colored carpet. Then after we're done removing what we can see, we use our hands to brush the steps from the outside in. Kind of like if you were trying to gather sand to the middle. We do that for a few seconds. For all of the other vacuums, there is invariably a ball of hair that they missed. We just suck that ball up or gather it by hand and throw it away. This vacuum, on the other hand, didn't leave anything for us to collect. It vacuumed everything we saw and everything we didn't. Fantastic! I really love how easy it is to use this unit on my stairs.
Note:
If you have a pet that sheds a lot and has carpet (and hardwood), I highly recommend this gadget. Pick up two or get several batteries. We keep a vacuum on each floor since each floor has different ratios of flooring types and traffic patterns.
I have attached a picture of the canister after only 4 (!!!) steps and about 3 minutes. The hand test (see above) revealed virtually nothing left behind. We vacuum the main floor daily with a robot. The steps we try and get to every week, sometimes two. This test occurred on steps that were vacuumed only a few days prior. The pictures posted on BestBuy and Shark's website more than do this product justice.

Excellent power and utility in this vacuum. The brush roll is a combination of squeegee like fins and bristles and do an excellent job of preventing hair wrap around the roller. As an owner of a Siberian Husky, this vacuum does a great job of getting all of the hair off of our area rugs and laminate flooring. The turbo trigger is very easy to activate, but the standard suction mode is more than enough for standard vacuum jobs. In handheld mode with the upholstery brush, this vacuum does as well as my shop vac for cleaning up my car seats which saves a ton of time not having to use a shop vac. This unit is overall very quiet as well. The HEPA filtration is excellent for keeping pet dander out of the air, and you don't get the annoying puff of dust when you turn it on compared to a standard old vacuum. The dusting attachment is really useful and makes dusting a lot easier and cleaner. The upholstery brush and small tipped attachment are pretty standard and get the job done. My only criticism is the package should come with a wall mount to hang up the unit when finished for quicker storage. However, if you take off the top portion and hang it off of the stick, the unit stands upright on its own and takes up very little space, while keeping the charging port on the battery easily accessible if you want to keep the battery attached. The blue color of the vacuum is really attractive looking as well. Shark must have dozens of variations on this model as it is part of their "Rocket" series. based on the features of the unit, it is most comparable to their Rocket Pet Pro, and is just probably the naming they are going to use going forward for their pet specific vacuums.

It took me months to decide which brand and then which model of vacuum I wanted to purchase. I was looking for something light weight and easy to use. Nothing bulky or cumbersome. I was weary at first about a vacuum that runs on battery power alone, but the convenience of a cordless was just too alluring and i went with this choice. My boggest complaint is pet hair and my husbands biggest complaint is my long hair! Finding one that could manage both of those was a bonus!
I LOVE THIS VACUUM! It had great suctiong and a button you can pull for extra suction, if needed. Pet hair is no match for this product and it even manages to keep my long hair from getting stuck in the roller bar!!
The battery lasts about 40 minutes of continuous vacuuming which is long enough to clean our two bedroom apartment. This product is also super convenient for vehicle cleaning as again, its cordless. But! It also comes apart easipy, has great attachemnts for small areas and is super lightweight as well!

I think it's a great vacuum. It picks up my cats' hair really well and definitely lightweight. I will say that I think the battery life could be better. if you're using the button for the extra suction, it dies quickly.

I really like this vaccum. It is very easy to change all the different parts and to clean and gets up dog and cat hair very easily. The thin tube attachment gets into corners and other hard to reach places very easily. The vaccum is also very lightweight and has a pretty good battery life, it only needs to be charged in the middle of cleaning when I am vacuuming when I clean my entire house.

I love this vacuum. It cleans very well. I have 5 dogs and 3 cats and it picks up the hair. I sometimes with it would last longer with a charge but it’s not the worse thing. I am also pulling up on the super suction the whole time. It’s light which I need. And most of all I can go anywhere with it! Amazing vacuum!! I keep it well maintained by keeping it cleaned out and watching for clogs and it has lasted me a few years now and going strong.

The vacuum exceeded expectations with powerful suction (I have two cats) and versatile attachments. Its sleek design and lightweight build make it easy to maneuver.
The cord length is generous, minimizing unplugging hassles.
The dustbin is easy to empty, reducing mess.
Despite the compact size, it handles both carpets and hard floors adeptly.
The noise level is reasonable, and the adjustable settings cater to various surfaces.
Overall, this vacuum combines performance and convenience, offering a reliable solution for efficient and hassle-free cleaning. Highly recommended for its effectiveness and user-friendly features.

Very lightweight and easy to use. Love having various attachments to interchange and that it stands up on its own. Also very easy to store and charges pretty fast. I use this vacuum for daily cleaning around about 1100 sq ft and the battery rarely runs out before I get to finish (using the lower setting for flooring and high for carpets/rugs). For deeper cleans, I go with a bigger option.

Great Go-To Portable Vacuum

The Shark Rocket PowerFins Cordless Vacuum is an excellent addition to our home cleaning equipment. It was easy to unpack and assemble by following the box lid instructions.
After giving the vacuum a full charge, we used it to sweep the carpets, hardwood floor, and furniture in the living room. We have two cats which tend to be hard on any vacuum equipment that we have. The PowerFins vacuum handled our living room without any problems. The suction is impressive, and the device was able to pick up some cat hair that our regular floor vacuum did not. After 20 minutes of cleaning, the dust cup was full. The cup is easy to empty, and we're glad to see that it can be easily rinsed out under a faucet.
We especially appreciate the flexibility of the PowerFins vacuum. The included attachments and the ease of switching the attachments provide the ability to clean floors, carpets, furniture, stairs, desks, and automobiles. Due to the construction of this device, the unit will not stand on its own when fully extended. However, the central vacuum can clip to the top of the brush unit for easy storage.
Features
The accessories quickly assemble onto the central vacuum.
Has a mode for floors, a mode for carpet, and a pull ring for extra power.
The vacuum dust cup is easy to empty and does not require a bag.
Comes with a Crevice Tool, Dusting Brush, and Multi-Angle Dusting Brush.
Detachable dust cup.
Easy to clean brush roll for removing hair.
Includes a pre-motor filter and a post-motor HEPA filter.
Flexible floor nozzle for handling tight corners.
The floor nozzle sits low enough for getting under chairs and tables.
Bright headlamp on the floor nozzle for lighting the floor.
The Shark Rocket PowerFins Corless Vacuum is our quick go-to vacuum for touch-up, furniture, and tight spaces. While I would not recommend using it as your primary vacuum cleaner, I highly recommend it for handling any job too difficult for a regular vacuum cleaner.

Works really well a good six months after purchasing it. I like it better than my Dyson honestly. though that thing is now 5 years old so who knows. The blue long stick part comes off so you can turn it into a short handheld vacuum on stairs. Will prob buy again and save money not buying Dyson.

Light, easy to use, and small to store. Works nicely and suctions up hair which so far has not been wrapped around the roller which is a huge +! Handheld ability also works really well! The only downside is that I accidentally spilled granulated sugar in the kitchen and it didn't get have the right suction for that but largely I am pleased with the purchase!

Just assembled it and it was pre-charged and ready to go. Lightweight and powerful. Takes pet hair in a breeze and works quietly fine. Really thought, why I didn’t get this early? Having a golden retriever can be challenging when cleaning comes up and this really saved the day. Great purchase pet owners!

Now this is a great Shark product. I have been buying Shark vacuums for a long time. Last one I got was not as good and I was disappointed as it seems that the company went in a "bad" direction as the last vacuum wasn't as good as the others before. So I decided to go with Dyson for a change and got the Dyson Outsize based on reviews and recommendations from others, paid pretty much $1000 for it with additional warranty. And, it was such a disappointment. I went back to the store the next day and decided to go back to Shark and got this vacuum (Shark - Cordless Pet Plus with Anti-Allergen Complete Seal - Blue).
We have been using is for few days and... we love it!!!
It is light, easy on your hand, easy to maneuver, suction is great (even on low power), and it seems that so far the battery is holding great. Plus has led lights while believe it or not, the $799 Dyson Outsize did not have any lights???
The vacuum has two speeds, one for bare floors and another for carpets. Both are great, suction is excellent and the bare floors looks like they have been wiped (no dust) after.
One thing that is taking away from the greatness of this vacuum is the loudness of the second speed, the one for carpets. I would love it to be less loud but hey, it is still not a deal breaker.
I love this vacuum. Go Shark!!!

Works great on bare floors, through rugs and carpet. It has good suction and maneuverability to get under tables, chairs, desks, coffee tables, etc. It's light weight, great suction, and easy to use. Let me start off by saying that I really do like this item. I thought it was going to come with more tool attachments but the one it had was ok. I also thought it said that the head was adjustable for the floor, I did see that it had the switch that changed from hardwood to carpet, but I have different carpet in 2 rooms and the rest hardwood. I would not consider it a "pet friendly" because the canister needs to be a bit larger. I also noticed that once the battery is on the 2nd line it looses suction and I don't like that and then you need to turn on the turbo mode and then the battery dies faster. It said you got about 40 min of use, but I let it charge over night when I got it and the next day used it and without the turbo mode on it lasted about 25-30 min. I charged it again over night and used it in turbo mode once it hit the 2nd light and it lasted about 15-20 min. It takes me about 30 min to vacuum my house, the first time I used it I had about 5 min left and I was mad that I had to charge it more just to finish. It is pretty quiet and I do like that because I am up on sunday around 7am to clean and it did not wake anyone up because it was quiet. If feels kind of cheap like it wont last past 2 years. I also like how somethings did not get stuck in the brush, but my daughters hair that is about 10-12" long did get stuck in it. Overall it is a decent vacuum but not for the price. I will try something different at a lower cost.
