I would have never thought that I would be excited about using a vacuum cleaner but here I am. The Shark Duo Clean Lift-Away is amazingly smooth to handle. There’s no ‘struggle’ when maneuvering it between chair and table legs. The vacuum head maneuvers with the simple turn of your wrist. Easy. The Due Clean also seems to propel itself forward across carpeted floors. I don’t know if this has anything to do with the Felt roller within the vacuum head, but it really feels like the Duo Clean is working with the user. With the flip of a switch, the Duo Clean is ready for hardwood floors and performs thoroughly as it does on carpet. In fact, as I vacuumed my hardwood floor and transitioned over to a long throw rug that is in the center of the room, the Duo Clean adjusted as if it sensed that it was on new terrain. The vacuum hose extension is really easy to work with. With other vacuums, I’ve had to deal with a ‘tug of war’ scenario when trying to use the extended attachments because the hose itself would want to retract back into its coiled form. But the Shark hose wasn’t fighting me when I reached for the air vent covers above my head. Another great feature is the ease of using the detachable canister for vacuuming stairs or other areas where the entire vacuum would prove to be cumbersome. With the press of a button, the canister pops out and is ready to be carried. With canister vacuums, there’s the issue of emptying the canister. Usually, there’s an issue of debris that gets left behind upon emptying and has me reaching up to pull out the stuff that refuses to leave. The Du Clean cannister empties each time without needing me having to pull clumps of whatever out. There are two lids. With the push of the button, the bottom lid empties and if there is anything in the upper side then you just flip it over and press the other button and it will empty the stubborn leftovers. When it comes to the suction, the Due Clean performs stupendously. Not once have I had to go over an area several times to get a thorough clean. The Shark pulled up the fur of my cat and dog the first time. I honestly cannot think of anything negative to say about the Shark Duo Clean. I think that anyone that purchases this vacuum will be more than happy.

Shark Multi-Mode Lift-Away Vacuum Cleaning Machine

Am absolutely amazed at the multi-functional cleaning of my entire house this Shark Upright Lift-Away Speed Vacuum allows me to do. I am super-pleased with this Shark upright vacuum cleaning modes of my carpeted and hard-surfaced floors. But, as a surprise bonus it does a terrific job of cleaning using the Lift-Away canister and wand for ceilings, walls, and tops of shelving and furniture, too. I can transform my Shark upright instantly into a convenient, and powerful, hand-held vacuum with just the push of several buttons. How cool is that? After almost three weeks of using this Shark to thoroughly clean my house, here is what I love about it: ** Cleaning – The most important feature of this upright vacuum machine. The Shark Lift-Away Speed excels at thorough cleanup of my whole house, floors, walls, ceilings, and furniture. It has Shark's DuoTechnology, which is designed with a bristle brush at the front for heavy, penetrating cleaning and a soft roller brush behind it for scooping in large debris and polishing hard-surfaced floors. WooHoo! ** Lightweight – Having arthritis I appreciate this whole unit only weighs a little over thirteen pounds. The Lift-Away assembly is light enough to carry around anywhere in my house without tiring or stressing my hands. ** Maneuverability – This Shark is only eight and one half inches wide and has swivel steering to effortlessly turn the floor vacuum in any direction. It is small enough to go behind my furniture, like couches and chairs, between them and the walls, and, or in places no other vacuum I have ever had was able to do. ** Snap ON / Snap OFF Assembly – The five major components snap and unsnap for conversion from an upright vacuum to a hand-held, with or without the wand extension. The Lift-Away unit easily detaches from the floor vacuum with just a few quick snaps releases. It couldn't be any simpler. YooHoo! ** Valuable Added Features – * LED Headlights, which helps me in vacuuming floors in darker areas of my rooms or behind furniture. *Pet Multi-Tool and Duster Crevice Tool with on-board accessory storage. Readily available on the base unit while cleaning my floors I can change to dusting or vacuuming furniture fabric. * Thirty Foot Long Electrical Cord, which enables me to clean several rooms thoroughly before I have to change outlets. * Washable Filters, which I only have to rinse in water to clean. It composes the Pre-Motor Filter Kit, which are a foam and felt filter. Shark recommends cleaning every three months. Post-Motor Filter, which is a HEPA filter and Shark recommends cleaning at least once a year. * Dust Cup Housing, which is easily removable and features releases to empty at both the top and bottom. * Suction Control, which is adjustable and conveniently located at the top of the handle. The suction of this Shark is very powerful. When I vacuumed several throw-rugs, I had to adjust the suction towards 'minimum'. Because at 'maximum' suction it pulled up the whole rug. * Flexible Vacuum Hose is approximately eight feet and six inches long fully stretched out. This allows me to stay on the floor and reach all the high places to clean inmy home. * Carpet / Hard Floor Selector Switch is a slide switch integrated with the power, push ON / OFF switch. There is a green LED indicator light on the floor vacuum brush roll unit when the unit is ON. Red when the unit is jammed. No light when the unit is OFF. What I noticed and like is that when I switch to hard floor mode the brush roll unit operates very slowly in order to pick up small debris and not scratch my floors. In fact, the soft roll brush even polishes them. Love It! ** Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology® - It traps over 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, keeping them out of the air I breathe. WooHoo! ** Easy Maintenance – The brushroll garage is easily accessible to check your brushrolls for any threads or debris, which may have been entangled in them. I can also remove them easily for cleaning. They can also be washed with just plain water and left to dry. ** Five Year Limited Warranty - 1. The original unit and/or non-wearable components deemed defective, in SharkNinja’s sole discretion, will be repaired or replaced for up to 5 years from the original purchase date. 2. In the rare event that a replacement unit is issued, the warranty coverage ends six months following the receipt date of the replacement unit or the remainder of the existing warranty, whichever is greater. If the unit is replaced, SharkNinja reserves the right to replace the unit with one of equal or greater value. The very first time I vacuumed my entire house I was so surprised that this Shark filled the dust cup housing up twice (see attached pic). I have been using a famous, national brand upright vacuum that cost appreciably more than this Shark Lift-Away. Since then I have 'retired' that vacuum. The suction on this baby is impressive. And, the unobstructed brush roller backed up with the smooth roller is outstanding design for thorough and effective, multi-surface floor cleaning. You have to see it to believe it. I highly recommend this Shark Upright Lift-Away Speed Vacuum. I love it so much I purchased the Multiu-Angle Dusting Brush so that I could dust the tops of my cabinets and shelving wirthout ever having to climb a ladder to get to them. Yipee! If you want the convenience of a powerful multi-mode, upright vacuum coupled with an instant hand-held for dusting walls, ceilings and furniture this is the one for you. This Shark would make a great gift for newlyweds, family members and friends, who need a multi-functional cleaning machine. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Pros - Full sized upright unit features simply incredible suction - In fact, the suction is SO powerful there is actually a slide control to reduce the power as needed to leave things like area rugs in place while you're vacuuming - Cleaning head unlocks with minimal effort to begin vacuuming yet still locks itself in place upright to stand on its own unattended - Carpet brushes on the cleaning head front and sides really do manage to get at debris edge-to-edge - Every single piece, hose, wand, canister, attachments, handle, etc. have quick release controls that actually work with minimal effort - On-board storage of all attachments—definitely reduces the chore of hauling around the right tool for the right job - Ample length electrical cord makes it easy to move around within and between cleaning areas without constantly stopping to unplug and relocate the cord - Quick-release reconfiguration separates the canister and hand-held short or long-reach wand from the upright allowing great mobility for stairs, curtains, furniture, bunk beds, ceilings, etc. - Cleaning head swivels instead of just rocking forward and back for super easy direction changes while vacuuming - Vacuum head has nice, bright LED headlights to see into darker corners/closets Cons - Dirt canister is slightly on the smallish side—a larger house will require more trips to the trash to empty - Slightly on the heavy side (but worth it given the strong suction) - The cleaning head is *maybe* on the smaller side though based on our comparison shopping it's about standard width for what you would see in the stores today from competitors - Canister/motor set low on the neck meaning even when you lower the cleaner to the ground, it still can’t go under furniture (need to use the wand and attachments to complete that job) This vacuum came out of nowhere and totally surprised us with how well it ultimately performed—it did an exceptional job cleaning our carpets, stairs, and furniture, and the fact that the price isn’t outrageous makes it an incredible value as well. The many quick-release (seriously, quick and EASY release!) pieces-and-parts and clever design features help take away the chore of vacuum cleaning the whole house, especially when going between carpet and wood surfaces, stairs, drapes and furniture all on the same job. We really love the speedy re-configuration options…being able to go from an upright to a handheld vacuum for stairs and furniture was SUCH a time-saver! And just to get this out of the way in case there was any doubt—yes, it’s got incredible suction power for carpets and hardwood floors, easily putting to shame some of our other vacuums that cost us 2-3x as much. In fact, we are finally going to start downsizing and eliminating some of our older vacuums now that we have a viable contender for whole-house cleaning. Very highly recommended!

I’m one of those who loves a clean floor. I have owned several vacuums over the years and they have ranged from horribly bad to just okay. I figured and was hoping that technology would finally catch up in the floor care department and I can safely say it has done just that. Shark may be the very first vacuum company to make me actually WANT to do the chore. Their innovative approach with the lift-away system and the leading soft brush roller are just two of the reasons that this vacuum is superior to the rest. Other excellent features include a very good tilt for getting around corners, it is lightweight, it has bright LED headlights to light up the mess, and of course HEPA sealing for pet fur and allergens. I also love the size of this compared to my other Shark. It is a tad smaller and lighter, but comes with all of the same great features of the big units. This is completely a self contained system, that will get you great results on hardwoods, bare floors, low through high pile carpets, rugs, and everything in-between. The whole system is so well thought out that you don’t even need to bother with directions. Once you get the hang of it, it just makes perfect sense. You can easily eject only the handle, or the full wand to attach parts for close, or hard to reach areas with ease. You can eject the whole canister and do the stairs easily as well. Emptying the unit is also a breeze and there are doors on top and bottom of the canister, making it much easier to get hair and pet fur out. Not that it is needed, but I suppose I better mention the suction since it is a vacuum. You won’t be disappointed. On par with, or better than the overpriced units. Lastly, there is no height adjustment like most other brands, instead, there is a slider just below the handle (on the wand) that adjusts airflow from “min to max” which works incredibly well in adjusting the suction needed to adapt to all surfaces from bare floors to high pile carpet. Way easier on your back and yet another really innovative feature. All in all I can’t say enough good things about this vacuum system. In the best bang for your buck category, Shark has hit yet another home run. What are you waiting for?

One Vacuum to Clean Them All

---SETUP--- The setup of this Shark Vacuum is simple and didn’t require any tools. All items click in place and fit perfectly where they need to go. It took me about 3 minutes to unpackage everything and connect what I needed for my first vacuum use. ---FEATURES--- The key feature of this vacuum is that it can separate for easy portability, making it ideal for in-home use as well as car vacuuming. Additionally, this vacuum has a hard floor setting, so you can use it on your carpet and floors with a slide of a switch. ---PERFORMANCE--- The performance of this vacuum is some of the best I’ve seen. On carpets, it works as expected but what was most surprising to me was how an already mopped floor that looked clean still had a lot of hair and dirt left behind. ---EXPECTATIONS--- The product exceeds my expectations. The portability, long cord, and strong suction makes for a great all around vacuum. The handle comes off so that you can vacuum high areas, like curtains or blinds and easily slides back on so that you continue with the floors in the same session. ---VALUE--- The price for the vacuum in terms of value is worth it, as you can use this on all types of floors, stairs, and even your vehicle. It’s the one vacuum to clean them all. ---APPROVAL--- I highly recommend this product for people plan on vacuuming hard floors, carpets, and the inside of vehicles. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a great vacuum. We had just cleaned the carpet with our old vacuum before using this one and weren't expecting much - we were shocked at how much more dust this one was able to get. My wife immediately took it to vacuum the remaining rooms. Pros - Assembled in just a few minutes. Everything just snaps together. - Strong suction that is adjustable. - Most attachment releases are well marked and easy to operate. - Easy to dump the dust bin (top and bottom release). - Comes with a crevice tool that has a small brush that slides down when needed and a traditional rectangular wide brush. - Easy to move around and use, lightweight. - Bright LED front lights Neutral - A portion of the upper handle is always attached to the hose, meaning that it is a tight fit in some cramped areas when using the crevice tool. - To vacuum you tilt the vacuum back by placing your foot on the head and pulling the handle back - it clicks in and out - there is no release you press with your foot. It works, but is different.

Did I mention that I'm a floor guy? I was really excited to try out a Shark as I've never owned one before and have always heard good things. I've got to tell you - this little machine really creates some suction! It's a good thing there is a suction control slider on the handle - as the first kitchen rug I cleaned it started to suck it up and pull it right off the floor! See picture. You need to know this machine has an 8.5" cleaning head - so that's pretty narrow if you have a huge room or house to clean. However, being that narrow, it can do things that others can't, like" -Easily vacuum stairs -Create even more suction for a deep down clean. -Fit into tight area - like between the toilet and wall LED lights are a real plus. For those of you with vacuums without lights - you don't know what you're missing. If you cleaning hard floors, the lights illuminate dirt and debris - causing shadows - meaning you can spot the dirt easier. Cat litter was my test on this. I have a couple hallways that are a bit dark, and the litter box is in the laundry room - from which the cat drags out little pieces of litter stuck to her paws, etc. The Shark helped me spot the litter and cleaned it right up. For you CAT LOVERS - if you cat drags litter onto carpeted areas - let the Shark loose on it and you'll have that cleaned up in no time. This model also features a lift-away motor - helpful for cleaning the cars, dusting, and overall portability of the unit. Overall, I will be keeping this vacuum upstairs in the laundry room to help clean up after the cat - and will be the vacuum I use on all my carpeted steps. See picture. Nice work Shark!

Wow. Everday I’m getting close to believe that Shark brand and the best in making vacuum. This Shark duoclean lift-away speed nv771 model is loaded with features, carpet and floor vacuuming option, lift away feature allows to realease the container and carry it with the wand to clean the hard reach areas like ceiling and decorative moldings, blinds and vents. Swivel steering and light equipped to Maneuver and better visbility. On top of that its quiet enough and its impressive compared to others.

So I wanted this because of the detach-ability to use in my car. Assembly literally took all of two minutes. Everything is self explanatory no need for directions. Simply insert and click into place. All of the features are simple push button or slide. Suction is great. I have a husky who's white fur gets on everything!! And this thing got rid of every bit. I was pleasantly surprised in the quality of materials it was made from. Feels very durable. Only Con I can really think of is the size of the roller or brush head as you can see in the picture I uploaded It's not even two dollar bills wide end to end. So for coverage you'll have to put in a few more passes if doing a room or area of any size

We got this vacuum as an upgrade to an existing Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away TruePet, the dual brush roll being the selling point. 90% of our floors are hardwood and the TruPet left dust on the floor. The DuoClean does as well or better on our rugs than the TruPet but with the soft brush roll it truly excels at getting the dust off the floor. If you have hardwood this vacuum is an excellent choice. However, although it is a lift-away, it is not a powered lift-away, meaning you can take the canister with you but you’re limited to using the suction tools, not the whole vacuum head. With the TruPet the vacuum head with the brushroll comes with the canister so you can get under furniture much better and further. Shark makes an Apex DuoClean model that is a powered lift-away and now, knowing the difference between lift-away and powered lift-away, that would be my first choice. Also, I didn’t officially measure it but the head of Our old TruPet is approximately 1.5” wider than the new DuoClean which ultimately means more passes will be required but the excellent dust collection of the DuoClean more than makes up for it. It’s probably not fair to deduct a star for not being a powered lift-away when it was never meant to be one but it is a feature I’m used to that will be an annoyance not to have. Without considering the lift-away capabilities, as a stand alone vacuum for carpet, rugs, tile and hardwood, the DuoClean would merit 5 stars.

About 18 months ago I replaced my (way too heavy) Kirby G5 with a Shark (NV801) Lift Away. At the time I could not believe how much better the Shark was on my hard floors (tile and wood). The Shark DuoClean does a FANTASTIC job on both of these. The little spinning roller thing (see picture) on the front gets up dust like I can't believe. Well I'm now finished refurbisihing my master bed room and bath (no more carpet) and decided it was time to get another DuoClean Shark, one for upstairs the other for downstairs, Not that its heavy, but I have plenty of space in my renovated closet for a separate vacuum, and I know I'll use it more often if it's handy. After using the first Shark for more than a year, my only complaint is that the dust cup is somewhat difficult to empty and somewhat small; but this is still much better than having bags to replace. And that the cord is shorter than I'd prefer. The first Shark still performs like the day I got it, And my Shark #2, which is nearly identical to first Shark now costs about $100 less. Other thinks to enjoy, the lift off of the canister makes getting around and behind things so much easier, and the detachable wand makes curtains/blinds a breeze. It comes with 2 tools , crevice brush and a rounds brush, I use the round brush on my fans, with mixed success, I wish their was an tools for better cleaning the blades, the round brush is ok, but something that better fit around the blades would be so much better. Another nice feature is the LED headlights, its suprising to find that some bright light shined on "dust bunnies" really prevent them from hiding (or getting way). The job this vacuum does on hard floors makes this a most impressive vacuum cleaner I've used. And as you can tell I would not hesitate to get a second.

My shark vacuum died and I bought this one as my replacement. Super disappointed. I love the suction and the hard floor roller, but the brush attachment seems like it’s made of plastic - where my previous one had softer brushes. The brush attachment is in a difficult position to snap down into the holder. The power cord is on the left side which really threw me off as most people are right handed and every other shark has been on the right side. The power cord is not does not snap in easily to lock in place, it appears to be too small. The canister seems to be much smaller than my previous ones. I had a shark navigator professional prior. This is my fourth shark vacuum.

I purchased this vaccum just over a month ago. It has been great. Works great on carpet as well as hard wood floors. Suction is great and the ability to use it as a canister vaccum is amazing. Only warning is the actual brush head is smaller then a standard vaccum. Great for tight spaces but takes more passes to cover a room.

Bought this vacuum about a year ago while under duress. Our (yellow) Dyson Ball's power button broke and the brushroll went out on our handheld Shark Rocket in the same week and we were in the middle of trying to sell our house. Wanted something that would power through our dogs' hair (we have a lab and a newfoundland, so there's a lot of it), while being light enough that it wasn't a PITA to carry it up and down stairs (and vacuum those stairs, while we're at it). This fit the bill. It's easy to use, easy to dump the bin, and it's lightweight (I'm 5'2 and can easily manage it). It's easy to pop out the wand to get into corners, but the attachments sometimes fall off of their posts. The filters have held up well (we've cleaned them according to manufacturer's directions) and so has the brushroll. I love that the top of the brushroll compartment comes off so I don't have to flip the whole thing over to clean it. We use a seam ripper to clear the brushroll every time we use it. The newf's hair gets caught up in it, but most of it ends up in the bin where it belongs. I wish the cord were 3-6 feet longer. I never thought I'd use the light on the front but it's handy when I want to do a quick job in a room without turning on all the lights. I think it's power/performance is right for the price. One star gets knocked off because the brushroll doesn't engage when the handle is fully upright, which makes this tough to use on the stairs. Otherwise very happy with my purchase.

this is my first shark item. i replaced a hoover upright vacuum that i used for 20 years. it was easy to assemble out of the box. the power switch was not on the handle, but findable. this is a bagless vacuum. having just used my old vacuum, i was surprised how much material was in the canister. my goodness. the experience was the same on every previously vacuumed carpet. it is lighter and easy for me to carry up and down stairs. just remember to get the container with your debris inside the trash can. it is a bit messier than a bagged vacuum, but did a better carpet clean. i am happy with this purchase.

The shark duoclean liftaway is an excellent purchase for pet owners like me! I have to very large very sheddy dogs. This vacuum has enough power to get all the long and short hairs out of my carpets and it transitions seamlessly to the laminate floors. The lift away is great for reaching corners and the backs of my TV's with a simple push of a button. This vacuum is lightweight and easy to use yet it has enough power to get all of the hair dust and dirt. Absolutely LOVE this vacuum!

This is by far the best vacuum I have ever used. It sucks up everything! It is light weight. It glides beautifully. I clean a house for some one who has a sandbox and she never once complained about still feeling the sand on the floor. I have cleaned a house for someone who uses a Dyson. I did not like it. I had to bring mine. I will only ever use this vaccum. :)
