Let’s get into pros and cons of this unit and what I think about it. Full disclosure, I was not able to test this outside for very long as it’s still winter in my area, but I did confirm the misting function works as advertised and having had other misting fans, I can also vouch for how well a misting fan can cool an outdoor area. Pros: Powerful airflow: The Shark FlexBreeze is powerful, both in corded and cordless modes. You can definitely feel the breeze, even outdoors, when the fan is on it’s higher settings. Misting attachment: Hookup the misting attachment to your hose outside and instantly cool down a deck or patio. This function works really well and makes this fan an indispensable outdoor accessory. Flexible design: The fan's flexible design allows it to be positioned in a variety of ways. It can oscilate, it can tilt and can be used off and on it’s pedestal. Corded or Cordless design: With up to 24 hours of battery life, you can certainly use this fan cordless without any issue, which is a great feature when outdoors and electrical outlets aren’t easy to reach. Remote control: The fan has a remote! I mean…how cool is it to be able to turn it on off, adjust oscillation, etc while 10 feet away? Cons: Outside usage: You’ll definitely want to use the fan at higher speeds when outdoors, as the lower settings aren’t nearly as effective as they are indoors. Misting attachment can be messy: Misting can make things wet, so be aware if you’re out there reading a book or magazine. Price: The asking price for this unit certainly seems high, but it’s due to it’s versatility and cordless function. Overall: The Shark FlexBreeze is an awesome fan. It’s truly one of the best outdoor accessories you can get for a patio or deck. It’ll cool down a pretty big area with it’s misting function and that alone is worth the asking price. Add the ability to use it cordlessly and either on a pedestal or as a tabletop fan and it’s worth even more. If you’re looking to cool down a big outdoor area, this is your ticket.
