A Cordless Backyard Breeze Dream

The Shark FlexBreeze Outdoor and Indoor Fan with InstaCool Misting Attachment is a versatile and powerful fan that can be indoors and outdoors, which is exactly what I was looking for! It features five fan speeds, an optional misting attachment, and a flexible design that allows it to be positioned in a variety of ways. Let’s get into pros and cons of this unit and what I think about it.
Full disclosure, I was not able to test this outside for very long as it’s still winter in my area, but I did confirm the misting function works as advertised and having had other misting fans, I can also vouch for how well a misting fan can cool an outdoor area.
Pros:
Powerful airflow: The Shark FlexBreeze is powerful, both in corded and cordless modes. You can definitely feel the breeze, even outdoors, when the fan is on it’s higher settings.
Misting attachment: Hookup the misting attachment to your hose outside and instantly cool down a deck or patio. This function works really well and makes this fan an indispensable outdoor accessory.
Flexible design: The fan's flexible design allows it to be positioned in a variety of ways. It can oscilate, it can tilt and can be used off and on it’s pedestal.
Corded or Cordless design: With up to 24 hours of battery life, you can certainly use this fan cordless without any issue, which is a great feature when outdoors and electrical outlets aren’t easy to reach.
Remote control: The fan has a remote! I mean…how cool is it to be able to turn it on off, adjust oscillation, etc while 10 feet away?
Cons:
Outside usage: You’ll definitely want to use the fan at higher speeds when outdoors, as the lower settings aren’t nearly as effective as they are indoors.
Misting attachment can be messy: Misting can make things wet, so be aware if you’re out there reading a book or magazine.
Price: The asking price for this unit certainly seems high, but it’s due to it’s versatility and cordless function.
Overall:
The Shark FlexBreeze is an awesome fan. It’s truly one of the best outdoor accessories you can get for a patio or deck. It’ll cool down a pretty big area with it’s misting function and that alone is worth the asking price. Add the ability to use it cordlessly and either on a pedestal or as a tabletop fan and it’s worth even more. If you’re looking to cool down a big outdoor area, this is your ticket.

Bringing the cool breeze for the upcoming summer

I’m so glad I got my hands on the Shark Flex Breeze Fan with summer just a few months away. Even though we’re still in the winter season, this fan has proven a must for the upcoming summer for the few nights I’ve had to use it. It works great as an indoor fan and with the built-in battery along with the included misting attachment best believe it will be utilized outside during those hot Texas summer days.
Some of the standout features are:
~Quickly go from corded to cordless tabletop fan
~Built tough to take on the outdoor elements like UV Ray Protection and IPX4 for light rain resistance.
~140 Degrees of oscillation and 45 degrees of tilt
~5 levels of fan speeds with a boost mode (limited to 20 mins on battery mode)
~Up to 20 hours of battery life depending on your setting (level 1 no oscillation) anything higher than this will have a greater impact on battery life.
~Remote control with a magnetic attachment for easy storage. You can adjust fan speed, oscillation, tilt, and enable boost mode.
The setup was quick and painless took me less than 10 minutes to get it up and running. Being a much smaller fan I was still surprised at how much air it’s able to circulate. At the highest setting which is level 5, you can feel the air. At this level you will hear the fan noise but not too loud. At level 1 you can’t even hear it all, so perfect for those that want a slight breeze with minimal noise. If level 5 is not cutting it there’s also a boost mode for those hot summer days (on battery mode it’s limited to 20 minutes). Battery life does take a huge hit if you have everything on and at max setting. I would estimate from a full charge at level 5 with oscillation on the battery quickly ran out right around the 2hr mark. If you have it set to level 1 with no oscillation you can expect battery life to hover around the 20hr mark. I would have liked for the AC cord to have been much longer.
It does come with a misting attachment that is easily connected to a water hose and attached to the fan.
You can adjust the water pressure to adjust the amount of mist coming out.
Overall this is a great versatile fan and so far my experience with it has been a positive one. If you like to gather outside with friends and family I highly recommend the Shark Flex Breeze fan for your next outdoor gathering.

Wow, this fan is way superb to all others I've ever owned! Shark's FlexBreeze can handle the Texas heat and hot flashes from Menopause! Now, that's a good fan!
SOoooo many positives: it is easy to set up and use right out of the box, the fan is convertible and
easily switches from free standing to table top mode, the fan can run on power from the wall or an internal battery with an extended battery life, the power cable can be attached directly to the fan in table top mode or the pole in free standing mode, it has a remote with a bunch of options that magnetizes to the back of the fan for storage, the fan has 5 speed setting and even in table top mode oscillates, the remote and the fan itself both have buttons to control it so if you lose the remote you can still use it, the unit itself is very sturdy and stable, on the 2 lowest fan levels I can’t hear this at all but I can definitely feel it. At the highest regular fan setting it’s still fairly quiet. The only time it gets loud is on the boost fan setting, the carry handle on the top of the fan is convenient and comfortable to hold in both modes, the oscillating is smooth and not clicky like some other fans I’ve had in the past, this is very easy to take apart and clean for regular maintenance, there’s blinking light on the front to indicate when it’s plugged in but the battery is charging.
I have not used the misting attachment yet but will for sure during summer months here in Texas! Overall I am more than pleased with this fan and finally able to cool off quickly when it's around!!

Extremely versatile high-quality fan

The Shark FlexBreeze Outdoor and Indoor Fan with InstaCool Misting Attachment is another unique, high-quality product representing the Shark brand. I really like the quality and uniqueness of the products Shark releases, and as crazy as it may sound, this FlexBreeze fan may be one of their best products yet.
At first glance, the FlexBreeze may seem like any other fan, but it has many additional features that really make it stand out. One of the most unique things about this fan is that it comes with an “InstaCool” misting attachment which makes a huge difference when trying to cool an outdoor area. All you have to do is connect the attachment to the fan and an outdoor hose. Another minor detail that is really nice is the little switch on the side of the misting attachment which can be used to turn the misting function on and off.
Another really cool feature of the FlexBreeze fan is how it can be used either corded or cordless. Shark claims the cordless runtime is approximately 20 hours but the description here lists it as 24 hours. I haven’t actually tested the total cordless runtime out but it does seem like it will end up being somewhere around the 20 to 24 hour range which is more than good enough for me.
Last but not least, the ability to convert the fan from a pedestal fan into a tabletop fan is another really nice feature. It is very easy to convert it from one mode to the other with the little tabletop legs built-in.
When it comes to performance, the FlexBreeze is very powerful yet surprisingly quiet at the same time. It even has the ability to oscillate 180 degrees, tilt 45 degrees, and has 5 adjustable speeds. All of this in combination with the features listed above make this the most unique and versatile fan I have ever seen.
Overall, the Shark FlexBreeze Outdoor and Indoor Fan with InstaCool Misting Attachment is an amazing product with great features and I highly recommend it!

Well built, quiet and very versatile

So far so good! The fan is very easy to set up and is very versatile.
Setup: not much, but a tiny bit. The main stand tube clips together. You use one screw to mount that tube to the base, and then the fan clips in at the top. Plug in the cord to start charging…and you’re done!
Use: you have a few ways to use this fan. You can use it on the stand as a floor fan, pull the fan off the top of the base and fold out its little feetsies and use it as a table top…and both modes can be plugged in or use for many hours with its built in battery! The fan has a remote control that stores on the back and allows you to change speed, angle and oscillation mode.
This fan is able to be used outdoors! It has a mist attachment that I haven’t been able to use yet (it’s a little cold here still!). It is easy to attach though. It simply clips on the front of the fan housing, and attaches to your garden hose.
One thing I noticed right away was how insanely quiet the fan is. You cannot hear it running on the lower speeds, and mainly just hear wind on the high speed.

Take back Summer!

After the unbearable heat of the last Summer in Texas I have been looking for ways to keep cool and take back my backyard from the lack of use that it experienced. The Shark FlexBreeze is what I believe is going to be my best shot as it creeps back into the high 80s in early March.
This is a floor fan with a couple amazing tricks up its sleeve. Namely that the fan portion (separate from the stand) has a built-in battery so you can move it to where you need it without cables (tripping hazards!) and the attachment which has nozzles which spray a fine mist of water that can be carried with the breeze. I will just say that the breeze with the mist feels amazing! I positioned mine to be in the corner of my patio where I helpfully had a plug and access to a water hose. Overall, the design is muted and stylish which I find perfect as this unit is most likely going to live outdoors and you sort of want it to blend in with the surroundings. The materials are made to hold up to the sun and rain and not degrade and overall, the unit and base feel pretty durable.
The fan has a remote which attaches magnetically to the back of the fan for storage and I thought it was sufficiently strong to hold the remote in place to avoid loosing it which is important There are buttons along the top of the fan for powering it on, adjusting the speed and adjusting the oscillation up to 180 degrees. Pressing the locking button on the stand below the fan enables you to detach the fan from the charging base and from there you can flip the feet out for tabletop use or on the go.
I am looking forward to having this as an option for hot days at the dog park picnic table when there is no breeze and I’m able to bring this unit along. Similarly for around the house it’s very convenient to not have to run an extension cable to get a fan where you need one. The battery life has been great and lasts a full 24 hours as they stated on low speed which is great for just personal or shared use for 2 people. The fan has 5 levels of speed and a boost option when you really need to cool down. The other great thing that surprised me is how quiet this fan is. You only barely start to hear it in the higher speeds and when it’s in boost mode. On low speeds it is completely quiet but still very effective.
Overall, Shark has built a very versatile product that addresses nearly every pain point I have ever experienced with other fans – difficult to reposition, cable is a trip hazard, breeze isn’t strong enough, no remote, etc. If you are looking for a fan (that is more than just a fan) and would appreciate the convenience of something that is battery powered with the extra misting ability to cool even more effectively I would definitely give this one a shot!

This is a really great fan! It's made well, sturdy construction, and of course I just love that it goes from pedestal fan to being able to use it as a table or floor fan. It isn't hot enough outside yet here in California to use the misting function, but I did hook it up to the hose just to test it out, see how far the mist reaches and sprays. It was easy to use. The water comes out in a sort of spatter pattern, it's not a super fine mist like that on a commercial machine you might see at an outdoor restaurant or a sporting event. Still, though, it feels like a total luxury feature. I started by setting my lawn chair about 20ft away, and while I couldn't really feel the mist, I could definitely feel the air! The force of the air is comparable to my other high-end fan (starts with a V). Doesn't beat it, but it does come in a good second. As I moved the chair closer, at about 10ft, I caught the mist. I can't wait to enjoy it later this year. It's also very stylish, nice black matte finish and has an almost rose gold / titanium color trim on the back. I like it! The fact that it can be cordless is great, too, means will be able to easily transfer it outside and inside to use at the foot of my bed. It's not super quiet, I mean, on the highest setting you will need to turn up the TV a bit, but I'm a light sleeper and will welcome the whiye noise. We'll see how long it holds up, but I don't have any complaints about my other items from this brand.

Combining the Shark FlexBreeze Fan and its InstaCool Mist Attachment more than double the functionality of the whole device. This outdoor and indoor fan with misting feature has a sleek design and keeps you cool and comfortable even in our often extremely humid Florida heat. The fan has a strong breeze that will keep you cool both near and far, especially on the warmest of days! We’ve used it both at home and at family functions to stay cool.

· Instacool Misting Attachment: Hook fan up to your hose to feel 10 degrees cooler. Fine mist is refreshing.
· Cools Large Space: Breeze can be felt up to 70 feet away.
. Variable Speed: Fan has 5 speeds and 180 degrees of side-to-side oscillation. Fan also tilts up or down for maximum flexibility.
. Durable: UV and water resistant. Fan can be used inside or outside even in gentle rain.
PACKAGING INCLUDES:
1. FlexBreeze Fan Head
2. Pedestal Pole
3. Pedestal Base
4. Charging Cable

6. Cooling Mist Attachment

· Easy assembly.
· User-Friendly Design – simple to operate.
· Moves a high volume of air.
· Versatility: Can be used corded or cordless. Use it with stand or tabletop. Indoor or outdoor. Stationary or portable.
CONS:
- Water hose could be longer.
- When you remove the fan from the pedestal, the legs of tabletop fan could be sturdier to support the weight of the fan.
When the unit's fan is turned off a few drops of water can slide off of the fan's shroud. Don't use the misting feature if the fan is sitting on a very delicate surface' or water staining can occur.
CONCLUSION:
The Shark Flexbreeze Fan with InstaCool Mist Attachment is exactly what you need to beat the heat. This is not the box fan you had as a youngster. It is attractive and functional beyond expectation. The fan itself will be a welcome addition to your indoor or outdoor living space and will soon become a household necessity. Gone are the worries of hosting a picnic in the heat or profusely sweating at your kids outdoor sporting events. Never worry again about staying up all night because you are hot. Particularly for outdoor cooling, this fan checks all the boxes for our family.

Living in Georgia and being blessed with a body that sweats by doing nothing more than stepping out into the sun, any opportunity to blow cool air on me while I’m outside is always appreciated.
I was intrigued by the notion of a battery operated fan of this size both in noise levels and overall usefulness in outdoor situations. After a few days of experimenting with it I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s best to keep the fan on the stand, connected to an outlet for power and take advantage of the various oscillating features of the fan. If you are going to go portable with it, you want concrete or a flat surface to place the fan on. The portable stand has a very low tolerance for slopes of any kind.
Noise levels are excellent - even at the max settings the noise produced is minimal compared with other fans I use and when on the full stand fan oscillation is excellent. Lately this fan has found a home in my gym offering a gentle breeze from behind as I run on the treadmill.
I haven’t found a need for using the remote that comes with the unit as all the controls are physical buttons found directly on the unit.
I do wish the power cord was both longer and smaller. In almost all the scenarios I found for placing the unit outdoors when I’m in the backyard involved placing the fan in spots that are too far away from the power connections in my backyard. Nothing that can’t be overcome with an outdoor extension cable. In scenarios where you want the misting feature the length of your hose is the largest limiting factor.
The one thing Shark needs to add to future versions is Wifi or Bluetooth connectivity as I want to tie the fan into my home automation technology. Walking into the gym and asking Alexa to Start a workout feels incomplete when she can turn on the lights, start a workout playlist, but she’s unable to power on the fan that keeps the room cool. Connecting the fan to a smart power switch that allows the switch to be powered on or off is not helpful as the device doesn’t automatically power on when it’s plugged in. On several occasions I’ve already forgotten to turn it off only to come back hours later to find it’s still running. On the other hand I guess that just speaks to how quiet the unit is when it’s running.

There are many different types of fans on the market, to the point that you can find one that will fit your niche needs. This may be the exact fan you are looking for, if you are someone looking for a portable fan, or a near silent one, or one with a more focused breeze than spread out. While this fan may not be for everyone, it does a good job in many categories.
To start, the closest stationary alternative is a pedestal fan. It can be extremely quiet while still moving air and almost 10 feet away in a room. This is perfect for those that need the silence but need a breeze. Where this excels over a pedestal fan is its ability to carry the breeze at one direction. Because of it's shape and housing, the area of effect is smaller. This is both a good and bad. You get more air movement when in it's path and it feels great. However if you move a lot like say working around a table then it is much less effective. More than anything, I found the portability to be its best perk. being able to carry this out into the garage to do some work, and then bring it back inside to the exercise room, and then back outside to relax in the garden is extremely convenient. While not the most portable for road trips since it does have an awkward shape when out, it can still work if you want to take this camping for example. The unit comes with a wireless remote control, which sticks to the back with a magnet. It is pretty strong so you do not have to worry about it falling off during transport. The mist attachment is very niche though. It does lower the temperature by quite a bit, but you also get more wet. For the price it is at, it is a little disappointing it does not have a sleep function. That is something I find extremely useful before going to bed and nearly every fan I've owned has this function.
Overall, I am quite satisfied with this product and can see many uses for it in the future and upcoming summer months. As with all things, there are always weak points for reliability and for this product I am most worried about the battery. The fan does not use a lot of power so it's not a huge concern, but one does wonder how smart the program is to maintain a state of charge that does not drain the battery for being plugged in all the time.

A Breezy Sensation!

Shark created portable fan that blows cool mist. What is more refreshing than that? I have been using this fan for a couple of days and let’s say so far its been a pretty cool experience. This fan is for outdoor and indoor use but I have mostly been using this fan indoors since the warm weather has not hit us yet here in Indy.
Set up is straightforward and easy. There is no need for extra tools as everything that is required for assembly is included. Once everything is setup, there are plenty of stickers plastered around the fan letting you know what all the buttons do and such. Build quality seems good which is on par with Shark products. I do like the nice thought of including a rear magnet on the fan and controller which allows it to be stored on the back of the fan. The front LED’s displaying battery life, speed, etc. is a neat touch too.
In terms of indoor use, this fan is seriously quiet on the first setting. It does get louder with higher fan speeds but the sound is not obnoxious. While the fan is not height adjustable like some floor fans, there is at least the option to use the fan with or without the stand in table top mode. The fan is on the smaller end so area coverage isn’t the best but I did find that the fan is more focused so it can blow air at a significant distance. There are also a couple of oscillation settings that can be controlled on the fan or remote. Battery life varies from 27 hours to 1.3 hours depending on the setting. I’ve been using the fan on mostly speed 3 and have been averaging between 3-6 hours.
Currently, it is winter where I am at but during the Spring and Summer seasons, the weather can get pretty hot. During these times, my family and I like hosting cookouts. I will probably be using this fan for such occasions along with the misting attachment which can easily be attached to the fan. The fan is “rain-resistant” according to Shark but I wouldn’t leave it outdoors in a storm.
Overall, this is a solid and versatile fan. I love how quiet the fan is on the lowest setting. I do wish there was a timer for the fan to turn off after a while but having the remote to turn the fan off remotely is fine for now. If you are looking for a fan that provides a quiet but cooling sensation along with portability, you cannot go wrong with one!

Excellent fan. So quiet you do not even realize it is on. Easy to move from inside to out. The remote is great. Just remember any time after you have charged the fan, you have to use the start button on the fan and not the remote. It fully charges in about 4 hours.

This is a very cool fan. It comes with a handy remote for controlling it across the room. You can control tilt, oscillation, range of oscillation, and of course the obvious power. The fan comes with a tall stand on which to set the fan if you want a traditional floor fan. You can also remove fan from the top and use it wirelessly. Battery life is pretty solid on the unit and even aside from that, the charge time is quick. The package boasts a 70 foot range to feel the breeze at full power. I do not have the space to test this out, plus it's still a bit cold outside, and how would you know if it's a natural breeze or the fan? I believe it though based on how strong the full power feels. Being wireless and able to function as a table top fan or a floor fan I imagine this will be extremely useful during the summer and especially tailgate season this fall. I am excited to relax outside on my hammock with this dispelling the southern humid heat this summer. And, I won't even have to get up! I can just use the remote.

Shark makes quality products so it's no surprise this Flexbreeze fan works the way it's advertised. Comes ready-to-go right out of the box, with a minor snap together pole and screw into base. The fan itself can be used independent of the base with its built-in 4 leg tripod and either battery power or plugged in. The cool mist head attaches magnetically to the front of the fan and the water transfer tube comes with a shut-off bypass valve and connects to a standard garden hose. It has a simple 3 button control on top of the unit with LED indicators on front for battery, fan speed, and degree of oscillation. It also comes with a mini remote that works up to 70ft away in direct line of sight; if it's oscillating, you must wait for it to face you in order to use the remote. The remote allows a few extra features like boost button and fixed direction adjustment, along with toggles for the 5 speeds and the 3 swaths of oscillation. The remote is small and could be misplaced; Shark remedy's this by having a dedicated spot behind the fan where it magnetically locks into a special groove thus keeping it safe.
I like the sturdiness of both the weighted base and the portable tripod, it doesn't feel flimsy. The cowling around the fan gives the wind a targeted path to wherever it's pointing, concentrating and amplifying the speed even on the lowest setting. This should also help with outdoor cross breezes to prevent the choppy sound at the blade tips.
The cool mist attachment simulates air conditioning outdoors carrying the water droplets with the wind. The 2 mist nozzles are adjustable and can vary the size of the droplets to your desire. I haven't tried the mist on boost mode but measured an effective distance of 40ft on level 5 before the mist dissipated.
Battery life is actually quite good and is dependent on speed/oscillation. It lasts as much as 27hrs on level 1 in fixed direction or as little as 75 minutes on boost with oscillation. The sweet spot is level 3 with oscillation at 9hrs allowing you all day usage. The best part is the mist function has no impact on battery.
Downsides to the unit is when using the mist, you can't oscillate unless on the base as the hose tends to limit the unit when on the tripod. The misting unit can't work off a portable tank since it requires a pressurized line.
This is an awesome fan that's 2 units in 1 and incorporating a cooling mist function that requires zero clean-up time is an added value. I would especially recommend this to anyone living where it can get hot.

I have been a fan of the Shark brand products for quite some time so I was very interested to see how the FlexBreeze Outdoor and Indoor Fan with InstaCool Misting Attachment Cordless and Corded Pedestal to tabletop would work. This is such a versatile fan that will definitely be great when the warmer months start and we are having more outdoor events. I love the tabletop setup for when I am spending the day baking to cool the area I am working in without needing to make the rest of the household cold with the AC on. This fan actually has more power than I expected. I used the pedestal for the living room when we were watching a movie marathon and everyone loved it. I did briefly try the misting attachment in the garage since its still been a little too cold outside to really test it. Definitely can't wait to start beating the heat with this when cookout and gatherings season is full swing. I love that this is fairly easy to move around since its not too heavy. The added perk of being able to use it cordless makes this perfect for any events where being around a power source might not be an option. I will likely buy another one so that at larger gatherings we can share the fan love
