To begin, this was something I obtained for my wife (who has a somewhat complicated hair routine). She was a little wary, but gave it a shot. She is also not very "techie," so it was important for the device to be intuitive. Ultimately, she was able to pick it up, plug it in, and use it without any problems. As advertised, it does indeed make the hair glossy and reduces frizz (which is a problem for my wife; any humidity in the air and her hair starts to do its own thing). She said it is very easy and intuitive to use. Select wet or dry hair and turn it on. It not only heats with a ceramic heater (which prevents burning the hair, apparently), but it blow dries the hair as well. There are three different settings for both the heating element as well as the hair dryer. The unit is lightweight and easy to hold, lift, and manipulate. I am not sure how much it matters, but this is the first hair dryer I have seen that incorporates an air filter. (It is easy to access and easy to clean.) The unit also has a little knob on the end that makes it easy to use two hands for styling your hair. While I am not sure how this compares to other similar units, my wife says she likes it and has begun using this in lieu of her curling iron (which can burn the scalp). She really had nothing negative to say about it, so 5 stars from my perspective!

The Shark Glossi is a quality, professional level piece of gear for great hair. The fact that it is made by Shark promises it is top notch quality. The design is simple to use and well thought out. It is essentially an all-in-one design that allows you to use it for different types of results. You can easily go from drying & straightening to adding curls or waves. One of the selling points is its ability to style without frizz. This works very well, but hair type will play into these results. It can easily be used for travel as well. No need to bring along a hair dryer and a curling iron. This one device is all you need. At first it may look kind of big when you take it out of the box. It is definitely a bit larger than you would expect from the photos. But it is by no means hard to handle or to pack away for travel. As for controls, it is pretty easy to use. You have easy to understand switches for wet or dry mode, temperature and airflow control. On the top there is a hold styler tip to use the bristles for holding your hair during styling. Everything is easy to understand and you will be able to use it within minutes of taking it out of the box. If you need an all-in-one styling tool you can’t beat this Shark!

This little device does a lot. Working better than other devices used in my house. Does a really good job at hair straightning while also reducing hair dry time. Leaving the hair soft and shiny. I let both my wife and daughte use this device and they both loved it. They both have tons of hair devices and both raved on this one. Easy to use, and reduces the items they have out on the counter. This one they stated dries and straightens at the sime time. Reducing their time. They both have longer hair just below their shoulders. So drying was a big big plus. It works great. I did take notice on the noise level but didn't know it was drying. It is significantly less loud as a blow dryer. The control knob on the top of the unit was suspect. but it really quite genius. They can adjust the unit with hair in while not having to fumble around with their grip on the palm. Great idea! Also as per the naming, GLOSSI - the unit does provide a bit of shine to their hair during use. What a great little device - Highly recommend in this household!

I enjoy using the product and I am happy with the results. Although I have only used the dry hair/smoothing option so far, I have found it to be very easy to use and is ready to use quickly. It warms up fast taking only a few minutes to get up to temp. The directions are clear and easy to understand so it was a short learning curve. The product is quite loud, but that is to be expected. I got used to it quickly and now don’t really notice it much. One thing to be aware of is the size. The product is quite large, as in it has a large barrel diameter. So it may not work as well on shorter hair as it does on longer hair. I am impressed with the results using it on my dry hair. It smooths my coarse hair, and it adds a nice shine which was what attracted me to it. It is a well-made hair tool and fits nice in the hand but is a bit bigger if you need to pack it for a trip. So, in summary, I plan on using it as a regular part of my styling routine and will definitely recommend it to my friends.

This is definitely a great tool to have if you have long thick hair and struggle with getting the finish you would get at a salon in less time at home. There are two modes that you can use, one being the wet mode and the other being the dry mode. So far, the wet mode is my favorite and it gives you ability to control settings for the air and heat with the wet/dry mode. It doesn't get too hot and really does give you a lot of options to blow dry and straighten your hair and control the frizz to get the best look. The cord is plenty long, and the controls are easy to use to set the right temps and settings. I'd recommend checking out youtube or instagram and seeing some other how to videos to get your technique down as that does tend to help give a better result. Overall, this is a great hair dryer and finishing tool and it would make a great gift or purchase to have for anyone that wants to simplify and speed up your hair finishing result. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try, we think you'll really like it!!

The Shark Glossi 2-in-1 Hot Tool and Hair Glosser is perfect for the beginner all the way on up to the pro level user. Quality and Size: This is clearly a higher quality hair tool than you would find at the average big box store or an online purchase with a lower price tag. It’s definitely on the large size at 13 inches in total length, but its sturdy feel gives confidence that the components and craftsmanship make it built to last awhile. Its design is basically that of an oversized round barrel brush, which makes it both easy to hold and to operate without losing your grip. Ease of Use: I am not someone who uses hair tools with any sort of regularity. I know how to straighten my hair with a blow dryer and flat iron, but not in a way that remotely looks like I just got out of a professional stylist’s chair. And I have hair that likes to frizz up when confronted with the slightest bit of moisture. So it is thrilling to use a device that makes it so easy to achieve salon-level results. It couldn’t be simpler to use. It only has two buttons and one adjustment switch. The buttons modulate the dryer’s air flow and temperature. The switch is to allow you to toggle between wet and dry modes. If your hair is still damp, choose wet mode first, which essentially turns it into a combination blow dryer slash hairbrush with the air blowing from holes between the bristles. Don’t forget to detangle with your regular brush or comb before you begin. For best results, flip your head upside down and just move the device in a downwards motion over your hair until it’s less than damp but not entirely dry. You may adjust both air flow and temperature for this setting. Now you’re ready for dry mode, which takes less than a minute to get heated up from scratch. Then you need to decide which style you want, whether you want to go bigger with a “voluminous and bouncy” style or if you’d prefer the more polished look the package refers to as “smooth and sleek”. To achieve volume, you section the hair, just as you normally would with any other hair styling device. Then position the brush’s bristles under the section as close to the scalp as possible, then rotate as you slowly move the brush in an up and away motion. The ceramic plates that are located on one side of a small portion of the brush are used to defrizz. You begin on the brush side then run the strands through the plates to sleek your hair when finishing up each section. If jet straight hair is your personal preference, then the ceramic plates are key. Run each hair section through those bad boys and you’ll be all set. The concern, of course, is that you’ll catch parts of your hair in either the bristles or the ceramic plates. Rest assured that this frustrating snag never occurred at all. It was an entirely painless experience. On top of that, it never got too hot and there were none of the accidental hand, scalp, or ear burns that a novice or even experienced style pro might endure. A very safe product to use overall because no part of your skin ever really has the opportunity to accidentally come in contact with the heating element. Plus, it’s easy to just put it down even immediately after use on virtually any surface without worry that you’ll burn a hole in something. End Result: Again, this information is coming from someone who does not regularly use drying, straightening, or curling devices. But the results achieved were impressive. It looked professionally styled with zero frizz. Days later it remains ready for an evening out with minimal touch-up effort. The only styling issue I struggled with was really creating a lot of volume, but that is probably more user error than anything else. Or it’s likely that practice makes perfect. The directions are easy to follow and I certainly had more volume than just a purely straight style would accomplish. It’s also possible that I just have hair that is a little too thin to create much volume in the first place. Critical Look: A critical eye towards the product would probably bring up the fact that it’s more substantial in size than just a flat iron. But everyone who styles their hair with a heating tool is also accustomed to the bulkiness of a hair dryer. So the transition to a product that accomplishes both drying and straightening is a relatively easy one. Plus, it weighs about the same as any ceramic plate flat iron, so there’s no issue there. The only other aspect that needs to be addressed that might be an issue for some is that a single pass isn’t going to work for all hair types. I can only go off my own hair, which is unruly and frizzy and curly and often all of those things at once. My hair required multiple passes. Slowing down seemed to be more effective, but it still required more than two passes. Maybe there’s a learning curve or maybe more than one pass is standard. Or maybe it just depends on the hair type. And it will also be different depending on hair length and density obviously. Summary: Ultimately, I give this product 5 stars for simplicity of design, ease of use, and exceptional results. The fact that even someone with minimal experience with these kinds of hair tools would be able to accomplish what the product is made for is a triumph of design. I never felt that my hair was harmed in any way or that it would be damaged from long-term use. I appreciated that the style lasted through sleep and showers (covered, of course) and everything else requiring minimal touching up. I would most definitely recommend this product and will likely use it on a regular basis because of how easy it is to use and because the results are so impressive.

It really does it all. The specifications for this says it will give you a 24-hour gloss lock. I wouldn’t say it does that for a full 24 hours, but it does last a long time. This is partly dependent on where you live. In a high humidity area, the 24 hours didn’t quite make it. However, it still lasted a very long time – more than the old styling tools. In the end, I was very impressed with the Shark -Glossi Ceramic Hot Tool, Hair Dryer, and Air Glosser. When I see something that tries to be everything to all, I get a little skeptical. However, this tool backs it up with its performance. Hair looks great with it. You can use it wet or dry, so you can look your best. Whether getting ready for your day or just getting an early evening touch up, you are ready to go. I recommend the Shark -Glossi Ceramic Hot Tool, Hair Dryer, and Air Glosser for all.

I received this product in exchange for a review. Ok so I had to enlist my wife for this review. The Shark Glossi system really impressed her and got me some points! The tool is well designed, the Juniper color looks great and the whole setup feels solid and well-built. The attachments click in firmly, and nothing feels cheap or loose. Drying is faster than a regular dryer it never overheated my hair drying it too much an causing any damage. Even on high settings it stayed comfortable to use. The Air Glosser attachment smoothed my hair out and added a glossy finish without needing a flat iron afterward. My wife's hair came out soft, shiny, and bouncy instead of dry or frizzy. For my hand It’s easy to handle, my wife found the handle a little bigger in diameter than she liked. The cool shot is a good option. Switching attachments is simple. Cleanup is quick since the filters pop out and the ceramic surfaces wipe clean. The Shark Glossi is a great choice if you want fast drying and a polished blowout without frying your hair. It makes a great stocking stuffer (hint for husbands and friends) It’s easy to use and delivers results that look a lot more “Pro” than I expected and my wife's hair looks great! As my hair is not the type for needing styled, I convinced my wife to help me out with the review. She has very fine hair that dries quickly as that may be important for your own results and preferences on how to use this. For the 24-hour claim, my wife does not go for 24 hours however, I have noticed and she thinks she has noticed that it does last all day compared to other styling devices she has, and her hair keeps the same style much better than before. The directions are on the box, there is a QR code and printed directly on the box for the wet and dry settings. After she found the directions on the box, which she was annoyed with because they were on the box which she threw away without looking at and I had to grab again, (I have never seen her keep a set of instructions for any gadget ever so I’m not sure of the logic there but take it as you will) she tried wet and dry mode on different days. She immediately loved wet mode which gave her noticeably more volume while removing all the frizz (and in my opinion in much less time than usual) I have seen her hair as full as this got it and without frizz, but not in as quick of a time as she was able to do with this and not where it lasted easily all day even with some pretty good humidity. She tried the dry mode as well, mostly as I asked her to, she said it definitely gave her hair more shine but with her fine hair it didn’t work nearly as good as the wet mode which leaves her hair looking more full and naturally wavy. I think this is where your hair type will determine which setting is your favorite. On the day that she shampooed her hair she was able to quickly (around 20 minutes) get her hair smooth, heathy feeling and styled without needing a flat iron. Overall, this enabled my wife to style her hair quickly and easily while getting a better job done than her old tools. She absolutely loves this, and it is perfect for what it does. I also love that she is able to get ready noticeably faster.

The Shark Glossi 2 In 1 Hot Tool, Hair Dryer, Air Glosser is a combination dryer, straightener, volumizer, shaper and glosser. The elliptical shaped wand has brush bristles on one side and ceramic plates on the other. There is a setting for wet hair and another for dry hair. It is recommended that the wet setting be used for damp hair not completely wet hair. There are instructions for stretching out and smoothing wavy, curly and bushy hair as well as instructions for adding volume to straight hair. The heated ceramic plates do not seem as hot and as likely to hurt the scalp as a curling iron, perhaps it's the spacing not the heat level. The wand does a fine job of drying and straightening the bushy hair sections and making those parts look like the smooth parts. It also adds a glossy finish that blow dryers and curling wands do not. The glossy finish looks like something only gotten only in a salon in the past with the simplicity of a power brush. This replaces a couple of tools and requires no additional products to work. This hair care tool is a great addition to any routine and for me replaces a couple of other steps/tools.

I actually ordered this by accident. Turns out, it was a happy accident! This works great. Ever since having my son, my hair has become more wavey. No matter what I do with it, if it air dries it looks like its unbrushed. I often do not have time to blow dry my hair since I have a ton of it and it takes forever. This seems to have solved both problems. Right out of the shower, it only took 10 mins to dry and style my hair using this tool. The brush gave my hair great volume! It also straightened my hair while it dried it. I got several complements on my hair the first time I used the styler. This had 2 settings, one for wet hair and one for dry hair. The wet hair setting turns the fan on high and dried the hair. The dry hair setting heats up the ceramic plates. When you use that side of the styler it helps smooth and straighten the hair even more. This side reduces the flyaways too. The color of this styler is stunning as well. The blue is one of my favorite colors. I never thought id think an appliance was beautiful!

(this was tested by my daughter with long red hair that can curl up at times) I cannot overstate how much I love this styling tool, which I admittedly had never heard before of but now am happy to recommend to anyone who is looking for a quick way to style their hair out of the shower. I was at first a bit skeptical, as I've always struggled to dry my hair well with any appliance on my own but the Shark goes out of its way to make the process easy and painless. The cool air blower keeps the heating element from creating steam against your scalp, which had been the issue with my previous brush-tools and the process was incredibly quick, even with my thick and naturally wavy hair. I'm currently watching some tutorial and tip videos to improve my results, as getting a truly straight blow out requires a little bit of practice, but even straight out of the box the process was straightforward enough to really impress me. The only suggestion I would give the manufacturers is that the heat and cooling controls are positioned on the handle in a manner that you can accidentally turn off the heat/blow dryer, but that's an easy adjust on the user's end. The packaging itself was reasonable, without too much in the way of excess plastic or ties to remove, but the outer packaging had been badly damaged during delivery (although not in a way that affected the actual product or its packaging) which was slightly concerning. On the whole, I recommend the shark for anyone who is looking for an easy to use, versatile styling tool.

This product has been commandeered by my wife - for the sake of a happy marriage, this review is being written with feedback directly from her. She has beyond shoulder-length hair and it's for the most part straight. She usually has to use a gun-style hair dryer, otherwise it takes her a good portion of the day for it to dry on it's own. With this device, she is able to brush/comb/dry at the same time. Her only complaint is that it's somewhat long for the length of her arms and gets a bit heavy to manipulate and handle towards the end of a usage session. It does a fantastic job though of drying hair rapidly while brushing , vastly cutting down on her amount of time "primping" in the mornings before leaving for work or before an evening out on the town. The finish is attractive as is the color. We've grown especially fond of the Shark brand name over the years for the durability and quality of their products - this one is no exception and we're exceptionally happy to have it in our household's beauty arsenal!

The Shark Glossi Ceramic Hot Tool, Hair Dryer, & Air Glosser is truly a smart device. As the name suggests it's 3 devices in one. But it's what it doesn't do that sets it apart. It doesn't fry your hair and it doesn't cause frizz! The smart part is that it monitors temperature 1000 times per second. It has a setting for wet hair for drying and adding volume. It's not just hype. It works as advertised. And it dries my hair faster than anything I've used in the past. It also has a setting for restyling dry hair. I can't speak for those with thick hair, but the Shark Glossi works great for fine, thin hair. For those that experienced frizz, try a lower temperature setting. Being impatient, I went straight for the highest heat settings and got some frizz. Then I reduced the heat and no worries now. I've been impressed with the build quality of the Glossi. But, then again all the Shark products I've owned have been well-made. I highly recommend the Shark Glossi. It is three great tools in one device that work amazingly well.

The first thing I noticed was that it was a little bit heavy to use however you are able to grab the end of the brush without burning your fingers to help balance it and hold it as you style your hair. It has 3 levels of a very powerful fan and heating element. I am a 48 yr old with extremely thick and naturally curly, shoulder length hair. It took me about 8 min to dry it completely and then another 5-8 to use the anti frizz iron on the dry hair. It straightened my hair but with tons of volume! Prior to this I had been using Dyson hair dryer and then a straightening iron which left my hair without any volume. I was able to straighten it - even from the root all the way to the tip with this one device! I have zero frizz which is a huge plus! I used a straightening cream before drying & styling. Huge game changer and time saver! Overall I give it 4/5 stars and worth the price! The heaviness is really the only negative. It is definitely a product that you will enjoy the outcome and look of your hair.

My interest in the Shark Glossi was to obtain voluminous, bouncy hair. The idea of having to only use the hair dryer and not the two-handed process of dryer in one hand and brush in the other was also appealing. The Shark Glossi has some great features in that you can use it with wet hair or dry. There are three levels of air flow and you have the ability to adjust the temperature. It even has a temperature protective thermostat to shut off the unit if overheating. The filter slides off for easy cleaning which is a bonus. For users with long, thick and curly hair this product probably will be great; it's just not right for me. I have straight medium length and medium thickness hair. Still, I was hoping for some increase in volume and bounce using the product. Instructions are to flip hair upside down and use the bristles to brush downward and then section the hair and position the bristles as close to the roots as possible and rotate the styler up and away. With a layered cut, the sectioning took time and effort, needing me to hold the styler tip for more control. I found it a bit hard to use with the bristle head being heavier than expected and the bristles hard and inflexible. Price is reasonable for a good hair dryer of this quality, so if you have the right hair type this maybe for you.
