Hair Dryer
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased it in late June 2022. It worked great. It was powerful and dried my thick hair quickly. Fast forward to January 2023. I noticed it wasn’t drying as fast. Now it shorts out after 5 minutes and pops it button causing it to turn off. Note, my ground fault is not tripping. I would expect a $200 Shark hair dryer to last longer than just shy of 7 months.

Overheats after a year of use
|Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Blow dryer will work for max of 5 minutes before it shuts off from overheating. I consistently clean it and always have so it is not a build up issue but rather a known overheating issue.

Not worth it, filter clogs despite daily cleaning
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not worth the price. After a year of use and near daily filter cleaning with the included tool, the fixed micro filter is completely clogged and the unit frequently shuts off during use (busy mornings getting ready quickly for work). Shark customer service based in Canada was zero help after an excruciatingly long phone call. I’m now using a $12 drugstore hair dryer that works great.

Returned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased as a gift for someone that asked for a Dyson. After testing it out, it just wasn’t nothing like the Dyson. So I retuned and purchased the Dyson dryer.

Died after 2 months
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It just stopped working after 2 months. I had no problems or issues. It worked great, then one day, it wouldn’t turn on. I got the protection plan & was able to exchange it for another one, but decided not to. I had to buy a new protection plan to cover the new one & I didn’t want to take that chance on something that might break again. I was able to get store credit for my purchase price. I wouldn’t recommend.

AMAZING!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This hair dryer has changed my morning routine. I used to just put my hair up wet and head to work because drying and styling my hair was such a hassle but now i can dry my hair in about 3 minutes and it’s straight!

Quality Hair Drier, but Expensive
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will say that the Shark HyperAir IQ hair dryer looks elegant. It has a very nice finish, color and style. I found the hair dryer to be a little hard to maneuver because of the weight of the dryer + the heavy cord. It weighs almost 2 pounds - twice as much as my old hair dryer. 2 pounds doesn’t sound like much, but it does make it difficult to hold at the proper angle when drying the back of my head. It would be a good fit for someone who is styling another person’s hair. It’s just awkward when drying my own hair. The Shark hair dryer comes with 2 attachments - a concentrator with 2 modes and a styling brush. A diffuser and a wave-making attachment can be purchased separately. It has a cleaning tool which is a nice addition. I usually have to use an old toothbrush. The Shark HyperAir IQ dryer uses heated + Ionized air. I did notice that my hair behaves better after drying with the Shark hair dryer as compared to my old hair dryer. My hair doesn’t seem to get as dried out while getting dried. The ionized air seems to help with frizzes and flyaway hair. It has a cool shot to cool down the hair at the end of styling. IQ means that the heat and fan speed settings change automatically as attachments are swapped out. I found that the default settings for the concentrator attachment were wrong for my hair. I have fine short hair that dries quickly. The concentrator IQ settings are full blast heat and fan. But it’s simple to lower the fan and temperature settings. The settings hold until the attachment is removed. The concentrator has 2 modes - one for an all over quick pre-dry and the other for targeted precision. My hair dries so quickly that there wasn’t time to use both modes before it was dry. I just left it in the targeted mode. The Shark HyperAir hair drier seems pricey for what it does. My old hair dryer cost less than $15 and it gets the job done. The Shark dryer does a better job, but for a lot more money. I would expect it to be less than $100. It's just a nice looking hair dryer that blows ionized air and has default temperature and fan settings that may or may not be optimal. My only two criticisms of the Shark HyperAir IQ hair dryer are the weight and the price. As a hair dryer it functions very well.

Expensive and not my favorite
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not my favorite way to dry my air. Feels like luke warm air coming out and leaves my hair frizzy, even with the attachments….
